It was the summer of 2019. The red carpet for La Casa de Papel was in full swing. It was clear that Itziar and Alvaro hardly looked at each other. What was going on there?
It also occurred to some reporters that their contact was not like the other years. What had happened there? One of the reporters dared to speak to Itziar about this. She asked, what happened now that you two don't even dare to look at each other? Itziar was alone with this reporter for a moment, so she could speak freely. But she didn't. She burst into tears and said she didn't want to talk about it. She ran away crying and locked herself in the toilet at the restaurant where they had all eaten that night. And she was thinking about the things that happened a few months ago. When she was a week and a half in Thailand, for the filming of Palawan. Those were the best days of her life, except for the last 2 days, when her heart was broken.
She was there alone with Alvaro, Kiti who plays Raquel's mother, and Naia (Paula). And Kiti and Naia were actually together all day, so she'd be with Alvaro all day. A week and a half later, the rest of the cast also arrived. Mornings, afternoons, and evenings they were talking to each other. Very deep conversations, where they also laughed a lot. The first days Alvaro still talked about his wife and children, but suddenly she didn't hear anything about them anymore.
One evening they had eaten in a restaurant and had yet to back to the hotel. Alvaro suggested not to take a taxi but to walk back. It wasn't that far, and the weather was nice. The beach was close and they decided to walk back along the beach.
Itziar had already developed feelings for Alvaro in the first season during the very first kiss scene in the garage...He was so sweet to her, he made her feel so comfortable. He listened to her, something her current partner, Roberto, had never done before. She never did anything with these feelings, because he was married and of course she wasn't alone either.
But now, now that they were walking together on the beach, those butterflies came up again. Her legs trembled and she knew he was causing it. The man who walked next to her under the stars at this beautiful evening. This beautiful man with his warm voice, his nice white shirt, his shiny soft hair and that irresistible smile on his face.
Suddenly there was a silence. There was a kind of tension here, Itziar felt it, and she was sure he must have felt it too. Suddenly Alvaro took Itziar's hand, said nothing more, and they walked on together. Why does he do that, what does he feel, what is going on here? She thought, it's now or never, she turned around, grabbed his head with both hands, and pulled his face towards her. She kissed him passionately and he accepted it. He put his arms around her and pulled her towards him. And suddenly it seemed as if the light went on. The magic was broken. Alvaro pulled away and pushed Itzi away: "What are you doing? This is not possible, I am married, I have two children at home, we are not allowed to do this". Alvaro walked away and left Itzi crying at the beach.
