"What do you mean you've never been to the seaside before, you're a california girl aren't you?" Juyeon chuckled in disbelief as he parked the dark green car in a quieter parking lot. He'd drove out of the village and to sea. The wind battered the long grasslands surrounding the coast, a few small white cottage looking buildings aligned above a thin strip of beach.

"Yeah I've been to the beach, but it's nothing like this." I chuckled as I overlooked the view of the sea, seagulls squawking in the background like feral maniacs and flapping their winds in angry wafts.

"Well then, better make sure you get the full experience." He smirked and grasped my hand tightly - pulling me down a winding set of concrete steps down to the coastline. His long and black Burberry trench coat getting blissfully caught in the wind.

It was quiet on the beach, only one or two people walking dogs or sitting on the nearby view benches. There were tall telescopes looking out to the waves and what appeared to be an "fish and chip" /ice cream parlor just across from them.

"Okay I'm about to treat you to the most delicate of cuisines." He elaborated as he talked, crossing his palms out in front of him with a smirk.

"We literally just ate." I chuckled with a sarcastic eye roll, watching as he bounded up to the shop window.

"One portion of the regular please." He asked the lady awaiting inside, with a small smile she repeated the order and jovially shoveled a servings worth of food into a fold out polystyrene box. Handing her a blue note of cash, he thanked her briefly before handing me a small wooden utensil to pick up the food with.

In front of the ocean view, we sat together on one of the mahogany benches opposite. I picked up one of the thick ass fries with the wooden teeth of the flat stick in my fingers and bit into it cautiously.

"So what do you think?"Juyeon looked over awaiting my approval, I knitted my brows together with a small chuckle.

"Tastes like fries, with extra soggy-ness I suppose." I giggled awkwardly, covering my mouth as I laughed. Catching me off guard, Juyeon pulled my wrist away from my mouth. With his thumb he swiped away a crumb that sat beside my lip, smiling endearingly as I froze in slight shock.

"How dare you call this, gormet, 5-star, luxury meal fries with extra soggy-ness. It's clear you're just uncultured." He overdramatized the statement, holding his hand over his chest in joking devastation.

"You're so annoying." I sneered in reply, taking another from the box we shared. We both looked out into the distance quietly. I peered back over to him briefly, watching as his gelled black hair blew in the wind. His nose elongated, concluding with a sharp point at the end. His brows were a thin black pigment, a complete contrast to how pale and crystal like his skin appeared in this light.

"Your gaze is terribly obvious." He snapped his head back to me with a sly smirk, observing me with his patronizing side-eye.

"Don't take it as a compliment, I'm just intrigued." Using his own words against him, I smiled victoriously watching him shake his head in amusement.

"You are mouthy, aren't you?" He huffed out an idiotic smile still glued to his lips.

"Likewise." I tutted in response with another laugh, as put my little fork down beside the box.

"We better get going soon, you have to be back in your dorm before matron checks you all in." He sighed closing the lid over and discarding the box in the waste bin beside the bench. I returned the sigh with a soft smile, watching him laugh slightly and offer his hand.

"Come on trouble." He extended his hand out to me, I gladly accepted, as I stood up - soon letting go as soon as I was up straight.

"I don't want to go back." I whined as we both plodded back up the steps lazily.

"I mean the place could pass as a prison, I don't blame you. If I could, I'd love to stay here with you but unfortunately I'd land myself in a lot of trouble and you a one way ticket straight back to Malibu." He called from the top of the steps, waiting for me to catch up momentarily before unlocking his car.

"Not gonna lie, I would appreciate that a lot." I laughed slightly, watching him frown in response.

"You can't be that eager to go home just yet, you just got here." He laughed lightly, starting up the car engine with a low growl.

"It's not exactly a nice vacation, no mobile phone, being constantly watched by matron, stuck in the same building and surrounded by only girls 24/7." I replied sarcastically, as we began to drive back through the moors.

"If that's an issue, I can always help you with my undying presence." Juyeon replied, pushing the gear stick forward.

"Why don't you leave yourself? You don't have to stay here." I asked curiously, after all Juyeon was older and left school - he didn't really need to be here, so why would he make himself subject to it?

"My Mother likes having me around, after all she does provide me with allowance and pays for my uni courses so I can't really complain." He scratched the back of his head momentarily, not taking his eyes off the road ahead.

"That's the most snob thing I've ever heard." I scoffed outrageously, watching him roll his eyes with a short laugh.

"I'm not the one with the Dad who sent me to private school in England." He implied, glancing at me with a shake of his head.

"Touché" I sighed, pushing my hair out of my face, letting the wind catch it in its manic breeze.

That was one thing about Juyeon Lee, his comments were as witty as my own. He was also far too sarcastic, someone who was slightly refreshing to me. He could twist anything you said and whether that was a blessing or a curse or just apart of his inflated ego. I couldn't tell myself, however we both seemed to find amusement in the abundance of terrible jokes we made.

"Well it's been a beautiful outing, love." Juyeon huffed as we reached the school gates, we'd drove through around 30 minutes of moorland and my hair probably looked crazy at this point.

"Wait, I can't go through the main entrance. Your Mom or Matron is will 100% see." I looked at him with alarm, watching him smirk in amusement.

"I'll take you around the back." He let out an airy chuckle before steering down a side lane. The bumpy texture of the road causing the car to stutter slightly. Just outside of our dorm building, there was a thin back door which aligned with all the room windows. The engine growling must of caused some kind of ruckus as the curtains opened to the other girls' window - Jas, Louise and Shan poking their heads out to see what the noise was.

"Thank you for today, Juyeon." I smiled sincerely, turning around to face him.

"I didn't know you had manners." He grinned, observing around my face - probably at how wind swept my hair had become. "You look like you've been dragged through a hedge."

"Thanks-" I smiled sarcastically however paused when he reached over the middle compartments. With his palm he patted my hair back into place, running his fingers through the knots delicately pulling out the tangles.

"Your friends are flagging you, you better get going." He pointed over to the room window, where Louise was tapping on the pane aggressively - mouthing something along the lines of "matron is on the corridor"

"Well, I better get going. Thanks again." I smiled over to Juyeon, who just shook his head politely.

"My pleasure, have a lovely night Y/N." He chuckled before I got out of the car, quickly scurrying to the back door of the dorm building.
