Managing to sneak back into the dorm before lights out proved difficult, Mission: Survive the angry Scottish lady roaming the corridors... complete. I slammed the dorm door shut behind me, being ushered in by Louise, as the others scrambled to turn the lights out and climb into their own beds."Lights out?.." The matron's voice sounded confused to the fact we were all in bed already, tutting suspiciously as the corridor light lit up our dark room. "Well done, Goodnight Ladies."
Once the door closed, I exhaled a sharp breath I didn't even know I was holding before shutting my eyes again peacefully... That's if it wasn't for the jump scare of 4 girls appearing around my bed, wielding their flashlights and laughing maniacally.
"So what happened?" Jasmine leaned forward in excitement, nudging minnie next to her with a wriggle of her pointy brows.
"Nothing really." I chuckled strangely at all the girls gathered around the small single bed.
"Yeah right, did you snog?" Louise giggled in a teasing demeanor.
"No. We just got to know each other, plus he's like what? 2 almost 3 years older than me?" I rolled my eyes pathetically shutting down all the questions surrounding
"So? You're 18 Y/N and that age gap is literally nothing." Ashanti replied with a weird look scrunching between her brows.
"I guess but I don't think he's interested in me in that way because of that." I sighed, hesitantly fiddling with my necklace between my two thumbs.
"I mean he seemed pretty interested in the car with you back then and if that is the case just set up more dates! Get to know him better and then he can't possibly want to avoid you." Louise shrugged looking for a good conclusion to the boy dilemma.
"I mean it's not even like I like him." I pedaled back in this conversation, How did this turn into me wanting to date Juyeon?
"How could you not? His face looks like it was sculpted by greek gods." Minnie laughed poking my knee and joining the conversation with a giggle.
"Exactly, every girl on this campus has a crush on that boy. It's a fact." Louise added, causing me to pass another eye roll to myself.
"Yeah and he sure as hell knows it-" Before I could even begin to complain a deafening ring silenced us all. The menacing volume of the fire alarm echoed out across the school.
Lighting up in red flashes, the alarms blinked on and off in rapid flickers.
"FIRE DRILL. UP AND OUT LADIES." Matron could be heard yelling down the corridor.
Phew. Just a drill.
As the few girls in the room began making their way to the door, I turned around in my pajamas and opened the window beside us.
"Y/N, what on earth are you doing?" Minnie turned around in shock as I began to climb out.
"I'm not going to group up with the entire school in the courtyard until the fire truck shows up. Call it a detour." I smirked at their alarmed faces, as I began to crawl up the metal ladder beside the open glass.
"But they'll do a register and we'll get in so much trouble-" Louise stuck her head out of the room window, "Where are you even going?!"
"I don't know yet!" I yelled down as I wandered off across the school roof.
Shaped like a rectangular '0' there were tons of levels to the school, running by windows and hiding myself behind corners as I continued to wander around the courtyard curiously - watching all the girls flood out into the space creating a low-lying catty chatter. I clambered up another ladder, the moisture of the metal causing me to scrunch my face up in disgust as my hands slipped slightly. I'd reached the top level, there was only one protruding window on this layer. The rest was flat lying roof, the gravel making it hard to walk on it with only my bare feet.
"Is there any reason for you to be lurking on the school roof during a fire drill Miss L/N?"
I whipped my head around to see a familiar black haired boy leaning out of the singular window, a cocky smile and curious gaze plastered to his sharp features.
"Peeping through my window were you?" He furthered the comment with his arrogant sneer.
"You wish." I scoffed, almost bursting out into a fit of laughter.
"Get in here before my Mother sees you stood there." He ushered me in, jumping down from his window sill to help me inside.
"God at least invite me to dinner first." I rolled my eyes sarcastically as he grabbed my hand and helped me through.
"What were you even doing up here anyway? You mad woman." He chuckled, parting from me as my feet hit the floorboards below.
"Just taking a look around." I shrugged innocently, my face lit up with an irritating smirk.
"You're out of your mind." He scoffed, with a laugh as he closed the window behind him and leant against the radiator below it. "If I didn't know you any better, I thought you would be up here trying to get a show through my window."
"Oh you are so full of yourself!" I sneered with astonishment.
"As I should be, Have you seen me?" He used his hand to pan up and down his frame half sarcastically, half completely serious.
"You're alright." I scrunched up my nose aggressively, putting on my best disgusted face.
Acting as if I wasn't completely enchanted by the way the thin cotton of his shirt clung to his well-built biceps, or the way his jet black hair fell on to his face lazily, or the way he was currently walking towards me and backing me into the wall behind.
"I'm 'alright''." He snickered, leaning close to me with a devilish grin that flashed his top row of pointy white teeth. He was so close, so close I could smell the minty essence of his toothpaste. Leaning into my ear to whisper "You know, alright, is an understatement."
Even me, as cocky as I was, couldn't find a reply for the bold man I was caged beneath. My mind was completely blank, all I could think about was the vein outlining his neck as he pulled his head away. The shade of brown his eyes lit up with in the amber lighting. The way he was smirking down at me, analyzing my features, my frozen reaction and wandering eyes.
"Cat got your tongue?" He teased, bringing one of his hand up to my jaw as he traced it lightly. The distance becoming dangerously close as he dragged his finger across my jaw agonizingly slow until he reached my chin - pointing it upwards with a sharp snap.
"JUYEON!" A loud knock at the door interrupted the moment, causing Juyeon to groan in annoyance.
"What Mum?!" He yelled back with an annoyed tone laced to his voice.
"It's just a drill! You don't need to come down." His Mom replied from the other side of the door.
"Yeah I gathered that." He snapped back, still just as annoyed.
"Okay! I was just letting you know, gosh." She responded slightly taken a back by his tone, as her footsteps began to wander away in busy taps.
"Well that ruined the mood didn't it?" I suddenly gained back my confidence, shoving him away jokingly - watching him stagger back with an embarrassed laugh. His dark and mysterious expression, softening into the familiar jovial smile of his.
