"Wow. Would you look at that view?" Louise squealed, sprinting towards the window that beautifully overlooked the entirety of Manhattan's nightlife. "Certainly beats Cornwall." She then giggled, flopping on to one of the cotton layered twin beds across the huge hotel room we'd been given.

"Jasmine, are you holding our key?" Shan asked, dragging her case in with a screech across the pristine marble flooring.
"Yeah none of you gormless garden gnomes could keep it safe." She replied, holding up the golden wrapped plastic key card to our faces, Minnie throwing a cushion at her and complaining about the insult.

"Girls if you could make your way down to the restaurant at some point tonight. The headmaster has told me to inform you that you don't have to eat together on this trip." Matron briefly knocked before quickly moving to the next room, accompanied the faint sound of her chunky little heels clicking down the corridor.
"She's really trusting us." Jas commented, unpacking some items from her suitcase, being careful to hang them gently on the hangers provided by the hotel.
"They probably haven't paid for all our meals, that's why." Minnie blinked innocently, before the group released a simultaneous "ahhh" in acknowledgement.

*Y/N breaks the 4th wall* You probably would like to skip this unwanted girls nonsense, makeup, hair, outfit, but imagine what you think fits best for you.

Okay let's get back to the story!

*Knocks* A series of loud thuds echo from the doorway, no one was paying much attention and too busy getting ready to answer them.

"What on earth does somebody want? I'm trying to curl my hair and none of you lazy bi-" Jas nags, slamming down her steaming tongs and storming towards the front door. Her sentence finished once she realized the person who was lent against the doorway, adorned in a neat suit and tie - polished to perfection.

"Mr. Lee, you're interrupting my lady time what do you need?" Jas smiles sarcastically, turning to me with a cocked brow as I whipped my head around.

"Well my apologies ladies, you probably understand I'm looking for Y/N." Juyeon replied with a similar tone, sending another cocky smile back her way.
"What a blasphemous surprise!" Louise cheered in a satirical outburst, the other girls giggling at the poor joke.

"What?" I bluntly remarked making my way to the door frame, not missing my chance to look him up and down in his jet black tuxedo and slick back hair.
"Lovely to see you too. I would like to take you out for dinner." Juyeon smiled, his cat-like eyes scrunching in the corners - in a forced joy, demonstrated by my enthusiastic response.
"Yeah, whatever. You better be paying." I rolled my eyes, walking back to the vanity to apply my mascara, fiddling the wand on the fine hairs.
"I'm just glad you said yes, you look gorgeous by the way." He smirked, leaving the other girls gobsmacked and borking at the chivalry - walking away with a grin plastered to his conniving, little angelic, stupid, pretty face.

"OH! he is so down bad." Louise squealed watching my face contort in disgust at the comment, yet still I was perfecting my appearance to the next level.
"Denial is a river in Egypt lovely, you better not be making those faces when we call out your lovey-dovey antics" Shan looked at me through the mirror, making kissy faces and snickering to herself.
"Yeah whatever, I wish you all a terrible nights. My date is waiting for me." I retorted, my face twisted into a sarcastic smile as I left the room.

"WAIT DATE?! YOU SAID DATE"
"ADMIT YOU LIKE HIM BIT-"
The yelling from the girls echoed and drowned out in the background as I saw him at the end of the hall.

Juyeon Lee. A sight to behold himself, his slick back black hair and well dressed self. His shirt unbuttoned by one too many and a slim tie of the same color draped over his chest. Faintly a silver chain glinted around his neck and his hands decorated with a careful selection of silver rings to match. His aftershave smelt heavily of a woody musk, one you couldn't mistake for being expensive. After all, he was expensive

"Where would you like to go my lady?" He broke the silence of my stare with his bright smile and soft voice.
"Back to the room." I snapped out of my daze in panic and folded my arms impatiently.
"Your wandering pair of googley eyes is telling me differently, now get in the lift missy." He ushered me into the elevator and checked the time on his chunky wristwatch.

"Where are we going?" I huffed.
"I don't know yet?"
"Are you even allowed to take me places?"
"Probably not, don't care."
"Okay headass."
"Did you just call me a headarse? You're one to talk."
"I'm within perfect reasoning."
"You're the one being all mouthy, when you're getting taken out by yours truly."
"Your ego really needs kicking down a notch. Mr. i'm so attractive, everyone loves me-"
"HA- You called me attractive. Miss I'm so clever, everyone wants to be me-"

With that the elevator sounded a jovial chime, announcing we'd reached the bottom floor.
"I don't want to go out anymore." I grumbled, rolling my eyes as he walked out ahead of me.
"Tough. You are now." Reading me like a book, he took my hand and guided me out the reception doors.

The streets of New York were bustling, filled with lines of people in huge coats to that flowed to their ankles and large umbrellas to catch an invisible shower of rain. Yellow cabs flew like bumble bees down the packed roads, honking their horns wildly whilst people waved their hands in drastic flocks trying to flag one down. Above all the chaos, was a beautiful night sky, filled with stars that twinkled like jewels sewn into a dark navy blanket.

"Hop in." Juyeon called, having flagged a cab with ease whilst I relished in the atmosphere around me.
"Take us to the finest restaurant, you know." Juyeon alerted the cab driver, sliding over the seats for me to get in.
"Can do, my British friend." The driver gave a thumbs up, speeding away as soon as the door closed.

——

The restaurant we arrived at had a grand marble exterior, a deep mahogany shade swirled into a pale cream stone. Golden spotlights shone down onto the entrance, my eyes twinkling in the warm light.
"This looks promising." Juyeon smiled, saying a short thank you and goodbye to the cab driver.
