I walked into key house and ran up to Kinsey's room straight away.
"Kinsey?" I said as i knocked on her door, she opened the door a few seconds later.
"Can I come in?" I asked. She nodded and gestured her hands for me to walk in past her.
"Are you okay?" I asked as she seemed like she wasn't in the mood to talk.
"Yes i'm fine, are you okay? Why are you home so early?" She answered, changing the subject.
"I'm all good, i heard about you and Gabe so i got worried and came back to make sure you weren't going through that utter heartbreak shit i see in movies."
She laughed and i looked at her blankly.
"I promise you i'm fine, Colette."
"You aren't sad that Gabe and you are over?"
"Of course i am, i'm devastated don't get me wrong but i don't really want to think about it. The less you think about it, the less it hurts, i have the keys that can distract me from any of that 'utter' heartbreak you were just talking about anyways."
"I guess you do, cousin." I laughed and she laughed with me.
"So you wanna try out the keys you haven't seen yet?" Kinsey asked me and i immediately nodded.
I guess playing with the keys will distract both of us from Gabe. This way none of us have to think about him and it makes life so much easier for the both of us.
