Ghosting (Beomgyu x Reader)

(7) Argument

You walked into the schoolyard and found Beomgyu sitting on a bench, scrolling on his phone. You stopped in front of him and cleared your throat. He looked up at you. "Oh, hey Y/n," he greeted playfully.

But you weren't going to play with him.

You crossed your arms and scowled. "Taehyun told me what you said to him last week." "You mean when he was at the cafe with his other girlfriend?"

"That was his cousin!" you shouted. You were glad that there weren't that many kids in the yard. There would've been a big crowd if they heard yelling.

Yesterday, Taehyun unexpectedly showed up at your house. Of course, you were surprised to see him. That's when he told you what happened at the cafe with Beomgyu.

"He accused me of going on a date with another girl when that girl was my cousin!" he complained. "I can't hug my cousin?"

"I'm so sorry about him, Taehyun," you said, "I will talk to him tomorrow?" Your boyfriend crossed his arms. "If I were you, Y/n, I would stop being friends with that kid. He's just going to keep lying to you,"

When you told Beomgyu about it, he laughed and gave you an annoyed look. "Are you serious? Is that what he said?"

You nodded. "Yes! Beomgyu, haven't I told you to stop getting into Taehyun's business? He has a personal life that doesn't need you in it."

"Y/n, I'm trying to protect you!"

"Protect me from what?"

"That jerk, Taehyun! That girl was not his cousin! Y/n, he's cheating on you! How can you not tell?"

"You know what," you said, backing away. "Taehyun was right; I shouldn't hang out with you anymore. You're just going to keep telling me lies,"

"But Y/n," Beomgyu said. His eyes were starting to get glassy. "You would believe your boyfriend over your best friend, who you have known since kindergarten?"

"Yes, I would," you replied. "It was great knowing you, Choi Beomgyu. Just do me a favor and don't talk to me ever again. Don't even show up at my house!"

Tears were starting to come down from your eyes, and you walked away, wiping your face with your sleeve. Beomgyu stayed on the bench and placed his head in his hands.

He had ruined his friendship.
