George POV

Time skip 2 hours from last chapter.

I and Dream walked out of Niki's bakery with a basket of muffins in hand.

"So, any plans for the day after this?" I asked Dream as we walked towards the lake. The same one that we last had our date at.

"Not really, I need to figure out the whole Quackity situation but other than that we could spend the day together if that's what you'd like." Dream said as the treeline came into view not too far ahead of us.

"Yeah, that works." I smiled as we spent the rest of the walk in silence.

Once we made it to the lake I marveled at how it looked just as beautiful as before. The sun was shining, the air smelt fresh.

One of the bright sides of the apocalypse, the air was much cleaner and the oceans were much less polluted. Slowly but surely the damage humanity had caused to the planet began to undo.

Dream laid down the blanket under a tree and set down the basket.

I skipped over to lay with him and we started to eat our breakfast. He laid with his back resting against the tree while I laid with between his legs with his arms wrapped around me.

This was perfect. What more could I possibly ask for? I have a lover that cares for me. A beautiful day with clear skies. I nice breakfast. Friends that I care about and care about me. I wouldn't change a thing, even if I had the chance to. And to make things better, it seemed like Dream didn't have his mask on as often. His literal mask and emotional mask. He didn't even bring it out today.

I took a bite of my muffin and Dream leaned down and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek. I smiled at that and blushed slightly.

"Well isn't this lovely." A gruff voice suddenly spoke from behind us.

Both I and Dream jumped as our heads snapped in the direction of the voice.

Behind us at the edge of the tree line stood a man in a nice suit with a dark red vest underneath.

Schlatt.

Both I and Dream sprung up from our comfortable positions and I instinctively grabbed Dreams hand as I stepped back a little so I was side by side with Dream.

Around 5 people came up from behind Schlatt and started pointing guns at us.

Dream and I gave each other a worried look. Both of us were defenseless and far away from anyone that would hear us. Even if we screamed at the top of our lungs there weren't a thing we could do.

"Schlatt, I would think you'd know better than to show up like this. We both know what will happen to The Alliance when I don't come back." Dream threatened, but it was no use.

"You're not really in the position to make any threats Dream. Now put your hands where I can see them and just stay quiet. Both of you." He ordered.

I looked to Dream for a sign for whether or not I should listen or not, and to my surprise, I saw him slowly raising his hands in the air giving me a sad look. I only looked towards the ground and raised my hands in the air as well.

As soon as we did the 5 people started walking towards us before they got behind us and pointed their guns on our backs which caused me to flinch as the metal pressed against my hoodie.

"Now if you'd be so kind as to follow me." Schlatt said with a sick smile on his face as he turned around and started heading into the treeline.

With a bit of a shove the people behind us pushed us forward and we began walking into the treeline behind Schlatt who walked oh so confidently.

As we walked I sent a glance to my left where Dream was walking with his hands still up. He didn't look back at me though, he just kept his eyes forward with a straight face.

I sighed under my breath and continued walking.

After a few seconds we made it to a small clearing with a road that lead outside of the forest. In the small clearing there was a black van with someone waiting in the drivers seat already.

Schlatt stepped in first and the 5 people with guns shoved me and Dream in afterwards.

The walls were lined with seats facing inward and one of the men directed us where to sit while they all took their seats after. I was only grateful that they allowed Dream and I to sit next to each other. I don't know what I'd do if I were squished together between two random people pointing guns at me.

We both clasped our hands together silently, only send each other quick scared glances.

Schlatt sat across from us and pointed a gun at us both which caused my heart rate to pick up. Dream seamed to sense my nervousness, or perhaps it was just nervousness of his own because he grasped my hand tighter.

"Now I'm not going to kill you two, well at least I won't as long as you follow directions. While we drive there I'm just going to explain what's going to happen." He said. Only now that I was close to him could I smell the strong scent of alcohol that lingered around him.

Dream and I just stayed silent but we did listen.

"We're going to walk right on in to your little mansion and the we're going to trade you both over for what's rightfully ours. Either of you try to escape then we kill you both. Got that?" Schlatt explained.

I just nodded while Dream began speaking. "By that I assume you're here for Quackity?" Dream asked.

"Obviously." Schlatt scoffed.

A woman beside Schlatt with blond hair tied back into a pony tail started messing around with her gun.

"Schlatt, can't we just kill them both and get the hell out of here? I mean we don't even need Quackity. Honestly, he's just a waist of air." The woman complained.

I was slightly shocked at the way she objected to Schlatt. Even if I worked under Schlatt, I'd still be terrified to even speak to him, let alone disagree with him.

"No. Now shut the hell up will you?" Schlatt spat before taking a deep breath and softening his voice. "Look, I don't like going through all this trouble either, but if we don't do this then it'll look bad on me and nobody will want to work under a guy who leaves his own personal assistant left for dead." Schlatt explained.

I was surprised at how much his voice softened with her. Well I was until I noticed the look in his eyes. Ew.

I just rolled my eyes and leaned my head on Dreams shoulder.

This is going to be a long ride...
