Alex's POV
"Mmm, yeah, yuh, I thought you into my life, woah Look at my mind, yeah, No better place or a time
Look how they align, Universe must have my back
Fell from the sky into my lap, And I know you know that you're my soulmate and all that— "is that your new song Alex" I jumped out my seat and saw Tom standing behind me with a smile.

I laughed awkwardly "do you creep on all your female costars because that's just creepy Mr. Holland" he smiled "no just the ones that are late for our interview" I rolled my eyes and turned back to the mirror.

I stared whipping my ponytail side to side "you look great Alex let's go" Tom grabbed my hand and we walked out of hair and makeup together.

"So what's the name of that song you were singing?" I pretended to not hear him and looked down at our hands "I don't have a name for it yet" Zendaya walked up to us smiling "name for what yet?" I looked up and pulled my hand from Tom's hugging Zendaya "a song I walked in on Alex singing" Zendaya smiled and grabbed my hand the two of us walking away from Tom.

"It's called Tom Holland" I said as we walked further away from him and closer to the building. "What?" I sighed "the song, it's called Tom Holland" she smiled and squeezed my hand "I knew you liked him! Jacob owes me $500".

I walked over to the guy and he put a mic on me "y'all were betting on us!?" Jacob and Tom walked in and our conversation stopped. "Okay so the four of you need to go sit down and we'll roll the cameras" I nodded "is there a particular order we need to sit in?" The worker shook his head "nope sit wherever you'd like" I saw Tom wiggle his eyebrows at me but I pretended I didn't see him and sat next to Jacob.

Once we were all seated the interviewer came in soon after. I fixed my blazer and then crossed my legs waiting patiently. "Roll cameras!" "And your on!" I looked down sighing.

"It is freaking hilarious! So how much fun was it to make a movie that captures that kind of tone?" The interviewer looked at Tom and I watched him from the corner of my eye "We I think the cool thing about this movie is that if you strip away Spider-Man you still have a really solid high school movie that people can enjoy, and the amazing thing about a high school movie is everyone has to go to high school so no matter how old you are, you can relate to the character. Umm but that said being on set... I've never done a comedy before, I've always been crying and running away from stuff you know! So" We all laughed including Tom.

"It's been so nice that I've been able to do this! And working with these guys have been so much fun and that fight with John" I still had the smile on my face as I turned my whole head to look at Tom for the first time since we entered the room.

The interviewer smiled and then focused on Zendaya "Who was you inspiration for Michelle?" Zendaya gave a little smile "You know there were a lot of inspirations! I think of course you know we all have the breakfast club reference and everything, I think we all kinda got that but umm you know what was fun about the character was that I got the freedoms to say hey this where I think you should go with it and John would say have fun" I nodded and smiled at Zendaya listening to her response.

"So I just kinda like had fun! I was like how do I want her to walk? How do I want her to talk? How do I want her to you know interact with people and how do I want her to come off. How do you make her weird and awkward and and say things that people really don't get but at the end of the day you still really like her you know so it was just like how do you do that, be that outspoken and still make it work so it was really fun I enjoyed myself".

I smiled and looked at the interviewer. I saw that Tom was looking at me so I turned my head to face him. He gave a small smile and I returned it with a big one which made him chuckle.

"It's a New York school, of course you gonna have that kind of diversity but how important was it to all of you to have that diversity to reflect in this film?"

I shuffled in my seat trying to rank my brain to figure out what the full question was since I wasn't paying attention. Jacob and Tom were looking at one another so maybe the question was for them? Jacob looked at me and I shook me head causing him to smile.

"Well it was very important" "yeah" Tom said responding to Jacob "I've, I've been saying the industry is very indigutive of where society is going and society has this forward thinking and we want it to be a lot more open and not such a big deal but that's just the way it goes but umm we're glad to be apart of that stepping stone process of having it to trickle down to more point of views and not just one" I smiled "diversità" Tom looked at me "is that Italian? Because you told me you don't speak Italian Alex" I winked at him "but yeah and it was really John who was very adamant about that and wanting to cast the right people for the roles instead of sticking to the comics and the narrative of Hollywood".

I sighed and looked up thinking not wanting to mess it up "you know most people see me as white and yeah I am so I can't really speak for the people of color in the industry who are being overlooked but like I'm really glad that none of us were the "token" characters and we were just characters".
