【Ｃｈａｐｔｅｒ １０】

Lara's POV

It's the time of the month, I have huge mood swings when this happens. I'm in school with my head down, "Sucks to be you" Ronalin said as I gave her the finger, "Sassy" Jessa chuckled. "I want to sell my uterus" I groaned, "What's with her?" Atlas asked, "Period cramps" Mirabel answered looking at me worried. "I shall take my uterus and sell it in the black market for millions of pesos" I said, "No one wants a uterus on their period" Ronalin said, "I don't care, I hate it" I bit my lip. This usually hurt this bad but today my uterus was feeling special and decided to torture me, what a great morning.

The class was hell for me, it was now break time. We all went to the field again, I was struggling to even stand up, "You look like an old lady with back pain" Jessa said helping me walk. "Well this old lady will shove this wallet in your mouth if you don't stop irritating me" I blurted out as she laughs, as we sat down on the benches we heard laughing. "Honestly who would like them" it was Karina, "The only thing good with them is their looks, money and his gift" she continues. "The fuck are they talking about" Ronalin said as I grip on my stomach, "Atlas is dumb but you know, he got the looks" Karina said as the other two laughs. 

We look at Atlas who wasn't affected by her words, "George got the money" Maria said in a flirty way, "Disgusting.." Ronalin whispered,  "You can say that again" George said. "And lastly Camilo, he thinks he's a hot shot but in reality he's only famous for his gift" Vanessa said, "Who on earth would like him? Actually, who would love him? I bet his own family hates him" she continues. "Not to mention his so called friends, they probably talk behind his back" Karina said, "He's kinda cute though" Maria said, "Oi, he's mine to claim" Vanessa said as a vein popped on my head. "They better stop before I do something to them for talking shit" I blurted out, "You're gonna make him your pet or something?" Maria asked, "Duh, because he's such an obedient grandson, I'll just tell Mom to arrange me with Camilo or I'll be sad and she'll say it to Abuela Alma" she proudly said.

"Pfft, he's not worth it though?" Karina giggle, "Oh he will be once he's mine" Vanessa said. I stood up, "Lara?" Camilo called, "I wasn't joking when I said I'll do something" I walk up to the trio, "AH LARA!" Mirabel called. Someone grabbed my hand, "Lara" Camilo called as I glare at him, "Are you seriously just going to let them bad mouth you?" I ask as he looks at me in the eyes. "They can't bad mouth you when they don't know shit you're going through" I whispered, "If you're going to let that slide, I won't" I said before forcefully letting my hand go. 

I got to the trio, "Oh it's her" Vanessa said as I stand in front of her, "Say hello to the nurses for me when you wake up in the hospital" I said, "Wha-" before she could finish I kneed her stomach. Ouch. She was holding her stomach crying as Maria kneeled beside her crying too, Karina tried to grab my hair but I slapped her first, "Lara-" Ronalin called as she stops and see what is happening. "You monster!" Maria shouted as I glare at her, "The fuck did you say to me?" before I could walk up to her, Jessa held my arms. 

"Calm down Lara" she whispered, "Let me go Jessa" I semi shouted, "Lara, you're going to get trouble" Mirabel calmly said, "No shit, I'll just teach them a lesson since I'm already going to receive punishment fo-" I didn't get to finish my sentence since someone slapped me. That is going to leave a mark since I'm on my period, "Lara.." the person who slapped me called, Jessa loosened her grip. "You shouldn't have done that" Camilo said, "You need to stop getting yourself in danger.." I look at him, "Damn this man can slap" I thought, "I was only trying to help, I-". 

"I DIDN'T NEED YOUR HELP, I NEVER ASKED FOR YOUR HELP" 

Oh.

I was took to the guidance office with our advisor, they decided to put me in detention for a week after recess. I really didn't care what they'll decide, I was too stunned on what Camilo yelled earlier. I was sitting on my own in the room for my detention, they told me to wait before my parents come to talk about my behavior. Time passed and I'm back in the guidance office with my parents, they were talking as I stare at my hands, feeling empty as Camilos words rang in my head. They were done talking, "Mi hija.." Mom called as I look at her, "Are you okay?" she asked, "I'm fine Mami..." I smile at her. "Are you sure? You don't get this violent on your period?" she asked, they kept assuring if I was okay, why now?

"Why are you asking this now?" I whisper, "Mi hija?" Mom said as tears build up in my eyes, I look at her trying to hold back the tears. "You didn't ask me if I was fine when Kylia died..." I said as she looks at me shocked, "You and Papa never comforted me when Kylia died" I said, "Lara, we were looking after your siblings" Dad said. "But what about me? Kuya and Ate? Cielo was crying in her room while Kuya comforted her, I was crying in her hospital room.." I cried, "Mia and Rio aren't the only kids you have" I said. "Why are you bringing this up now?" Mom said as I glare at her, "It's because if I bring up Kylia you'll ignore me and say to move on" I angrily said, "How could I move on when I failed to...save her" I cried. "Mi hija-" they tried to comfort me but I ran, I ran to god knows where, I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts. Camilo got mad, never got to experience what it feels to get comforted by my own parents then when they finally show it, I don't know how to react, my friends are probably scared of me.

I sat down by a bench, crying my heart out, the tears I kept from trying to move on to feeling hurt from the words that the one person that I like said to me. It also started pouring, yeah, I finally realize at that moment that I like Camilo, the Camilo Madrigal.

Fuck my period.
