"Josh, give me my damn grand baby! You know her daddy coming to get her in a minute. I need time with her."

"Jess, you had her all yesterday the day before that."

"I don't care."

He chuckled and passed me the baby. She don't like his ass anyway.

She was supposed to go home yesterday, but I begged Reign and Jah to let her stay. This baby is my everything.

There was a knock at the front door. I think J know who that is and I am not happy.

"I hope that's not your daddy," I said walking to the door.

I opened it and seen my bright ass son.

"Wassup, Ma. Hey, Mamas!" He smiled at True, trying to get her.

I slightly turned and he looked at me.

"Mama, can you give me my baby?"

"No."

He walked in and closed the door.

"Ma, you gotta give us our child back. I don't even think you loved me this much."

"I did. She just my only grand baby and I love her. You need to talk to your daddy anyway."

"He still here?"

"Yeah and he's gonna stay here."

"Here in Atlanta or here?"

"Both, I guess."

"Wait, Ma, you mean to tell me this man is gonna stay in this house."

"He might. I don't know."

"You couldn't talk to me about this?"

"Well, really it wasn't my decision, he's just staying here."

He didn't say anything and reached for Alaïa again. I just gave her up this time. It was a very hard decision.

He loved all on her and stuff while walking to the living room.

He dapped his dad up and sat down.

"Why you staying?" He bluntly asked.

Damn. Straight to the point.

"Because I wanna be closer to you and your mom."

"Why you just now wanting to do that though?"

"Look, Jah, I was young when you were born. I wasn't ready to be a father and I'm sorry for the choices I made."

"You say that like she wasn't young too. I'm glad you wanna be my dad now but you shouldn't have waited 21 years."

"I know, Son."
