Aurora Mist had just finished her light bending act when a young Soul stealer walked up to her.
"Oh King Devastation. What a pleasure." She said bowing.
King Devastation went to all the circus of light shows. She was hoping it was for finally sitting down with Queen Luminescent and negotiating. Either for Luminescent mountains or half of Soul Capital.
Devastation excused her.
"Have you seen Queen Luminescent lately? I heard she was having her first child. Am I correct?"
Aurora had heard Queen Luminescent was expecting, but didn't believe it until it was heard herself. From the queens mouth.
Aurora's neon blue back scales lit up as she brought over some light.
"Uhm." She looked through the attendance sheet and didn't find Luminescent on the sheet.
"Oh I'm sorry your highness, her majesty Queen Luminescent isn't here today."
Devastation huffed.
"Your highness? Don't you have your own children?" Aurora asked.
Devastation growled.
"Yes..."
Misty tilted her head. That was a strange answer. But he was a king, can't oppose a ruler.
"So how are they?" Misty asked.
She sat down and played with the grass below her.
"Uhm Fright is good."
Misty smiled.
"That's good. Why don't they come to any shows? I would love to meet them. The kings and queens of the Light bringers show off their children."
"Uhm well Fright and Decimation are busy."
Priest Jelly walked in and saw the two talking.
"Your highness."
"Yes Jelly?"
He straightened his back.
"High priest Spector wants to meet with you. It's about the skeletons we found."
Devastation rolled his eyes.
"Put your offspring in them for all I care. I'm busy."
"But-."
Devastation huffed and his dark blue strip down his back started to glow.
The Phantom dragon got spooked and ran away.
"My lady." Devastation grabbed Misty's claw.
She would be useful to him indeed.Queen Darkness cried. Her egg was crushed. Misty looked in and saw the dark green egg shell and the green baby laying in a pool of blood.
"Oh my goddess." Misty walked in and up to the Queen.
"Oh Aurora! I walk in and I see her there!" Darkness grabbed her friend. Darkness and Aurora had become friends in her time here. Even though she was the kings mistress.
Misty looked over at the light blue egg.
"Could it have been a human? A titan?"
Misty picked up a piece of the egg shell. She then felt the egg next to where that one stood.
"No, this was a dragon who did this."
Darkness froze.
"Oh Devastation."
Misty turned around.
"What do you mean Devastation?" She asked.
Darkness clamped her talons over her snout.
"Are last two sons. They were found dead in the valley. The one near the forest." Darkness shuttered, "it wasn't like they fell. It looked like someone killed them and shoved them off."
Misty felt her egg.
"Devastation kills his heirs." Misty said quietly.
Darkness looked up.
"Misty you have to go!" Darkness grabbed the blue egg and Misty.
"What why?"
"Devastation will kill him too! Misty it doesn't matter if this egg came out of me or you it's still royalty. He can become king. Take him and go, please."
Misty took the egg from Darkness.
"You could come with me. You don't have to live through more of this."
Darkness shook her head.
"He'll be mad about you. But he'll kill all of us if he found us. With this we both have chances to live."
Misty nodded.
"Darkness, you've been so kind. I hope we can meet again."
Darkness smiled.
"Me too."
And with that Aurora Mist took off for the Light kingdom. She stopped herself and looked in the direction of her home. Then at her egg. Devastation would know. She turned to the east. She would go to another continent if she had to.
She stopped at the luminescent mountains. It was quiet. She put the egg down and huffed.
She would protect her son at all costs.
