𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐨 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 2022

𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒚-𝑬𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕

" senior Maddlyen, the government teacher is calling you."

"Okay, I'll be there"

It's been two week since we started our promotional Exam and I have to say it hasn't been the smoothest of rides. Right now I had government after which was CRK, I paused my recorder that I was using to study and Gage smiled at me. He has been actng like we were just friends, even though I could see it in his eye that he craved for more.

"Go ace that exam!"

He said and I smiled at him, leaving him in my class, while I went to meet the Government teacher in his office. I got there in time to see Olabisi Ojo walk out of his office, I haven't seen or spoken to her since the competition. She scoffed at the sight of me muttering something along the line of just give up before leaving. The Government teacher who was oblivious to all this smiled at  me and said.

"Maddlyen right? Have a sit. I hope you are ready for this exams."

"I am as ready, as I will ever be sir."

And just like that the exams started. It was going fine, just fine and I was glad that I was getting  the questions right, every single one he asked I got it right and the new youth coper whom I later found out was my name sake, was friendly enough to help me tick the answer to the question in the OMR sheet.

" it's time for the Theory section. The first  question is--"

" Mr Ojo, a moment pls."

The civic education teacher interrupted him, with the question paper in his hands he went to respond to the call. I put my head in the desk closing my eye to relax it a bit as I let my self wonder Off in thought.

" how is she doing. No trouble I hope."

"I don't know, so far she got 60% of the objects correctly. Let's see how well she does for the theory."

I heard the government teacher whisper to the civic education teacher. Just as I suspected, I was the subject of conversation. I smiled subtlely with my eyes still closed, happy that all the sleepless night and studying with Gage didn't go to waste. Thinking about him right now makes me wonder how he is doing. Was he able to study for his exams today? Did he get to read at all? I know he had futher maths today but he was helping  me prepare for my Government through out.

" look I know you have a soft spot for her because of her  condition but still, don't go easy on her, she might --"

"Mr Roland! You do your job, and I would do mine."

I head the government Teacher whisper shunning the civic education teacher. I snapped my eyes opened when I heard the sound of foot steps, sitting up properly the Government teacher spoke again saying.

" ah yes where were we.?"

" the theory aspects. You were about to read to me the first question."

He gave me a subtle smile and I looked away, did this man in front of me truly have a soft spot for me? That was kind of hard to believe. I chose not dwell on that. I needed to do my best and ace this exam, good vibes only, no matter how much hate and Discouragement I get from both the students and teachers.

" next question is  Compulsory  so you have to answer it. It says: what are the three arms of government and their functions in a state or country."

I answered it correctly because I remember I and Gage hammered on  the topic a lot so it was quite easy to answer. I ended up answering four out of five theory question and at least I was sure I answered two correctly.

" well that's a wrap.Thank you our able youth coprers for helping us out. You can leave, Maddlyen-"

He said my name looking at me after the youth copers had left. He took in a deep breath and released it, he has a sad smile on and shook his head abit before speaking.

" as much as I hate to admit it to people, in my early days of teaching  I had a student with the same condition as you. I was the civic education teacher in that school , and the only one who had faith in that student  while I was still there. My point is, I have faith in you Maddlyen, not just me but I am sure you know there are other people who have faith in you... I just need you to have a little more faith in your self."

He said smiling at me in a fatherly way. I visibly relaxed as a smile eased off my face in response. I  mumbled a small thank you sir to him before leaving his office. I had C.R.K next and on my way to her office I couldn't help the smile that never left my face . From what he said he truly does have a soft spot for me and it seem I'm not the first student he had to conduct exams for like that. At least out of the 9 subjects I was doing, I am happy that at least I wasn't going to fail one- which in case you are wondering was the government exam I just concluded.

" Hmph look at her, smiling like an idiot did you get a kiss from the government teacher, orq you agreed to lay down your virginity to him so he could give you a high score."

"Great here we go again, what's the matter Oluwaseyi? Can't handle me being happy?"

Oluwaseyi was at it again and I can't believe she was doing this to me when she knew I had an Exam to write in 30 minutes. She chuckled evilly at me like someone that was cooking up a devious plan, i glare at her in response my arms folded underneath my chest.

" you? Happy? Ha! It baffles me that you think you two can coexist in the same sentence. Just so you know I am watching you and I know you bribed the government teachers to give you a high score."

" and what if I didnt? hmmm? what if—"

"What if you did?"

Samantha and her twin sister Samara said together. Hold on, what the hell is going on here, are Samantha and Samara ... no no no they can't Be. But they were so nice to me, they couldn't possibly be working together with Oluwaseyi Ojo, no I refuse to believe this. At this moments I was sweating seriously while the were laughing at my expense. They were enjoying the uncomfortable situation their presence put me in. And as if that wasn't bad enough, Samantha spoke. The same Samantha that used to be so quiet and hardly spoke was now doing all the talking.

" remember how you and Gage were always getting down and dirty, thinking no one saw you, well I saw you. And I just so happen to be very good at taking pictures."

" and I, Sammy just soo happen to be very good at photo shopping. So if you think you are as wise as  you say you are, then you shall do our bidding from now on."

Samara said a sly smirk on her face and I looked at them in horror. What is this, why the hell is this going on for pit-sakes, what the actual, urgh!!! I mentally yelled squeezing my eyes shut, wishing that this was all a bad dream. Sadly their resoundingly laugher made me snap my eyes open, bringing me back to my horrible reality. My bullies, they sall wore a devious smile while Oluwaseyi Ojo, their leader said.

" watch your back Little Miss Dullard, because the payback for making me Repeat SS3 like you is just getting started."

And just like that they walked away, each of them shoving me to the side till I lost my balance and fell down butt first . What in heavens name am I going to do, the worse part was the fact that I still had to write my CRK Exam in less than 20 minutes. With tears streaming from my eyes, i managed to get up heading for the CRK teacher office so I could get this exam done and over with _. I got there to showings my Face to her not caring if she had a shocked and perplexed look on her faces I just took my sit regardless and said.

" I am ready for my exam ma."
