My plan worked, my scent and blood are blocking his delicious scent.
I glanced at him over, trying to figure out what else needed fixing. Then, my bright eyes fixed upon his weapon.
I looked down at his gun and pointed at his jacket trying to signal him to put it away.
When he doesn't seem to catch onto what I'm trying to tell him I groan out, "Hide, it."
He inhales deeply but listens to me, Hiding it behind his coat, shielding it in his arms as if it was his baby.
"Stayy... close," I warn him, if he were to wander off without me I wouldn't be able to save him or protect him.
With a spin on my feet, I turn the corner with him following closely behind.
It seems easy... it did seem easy as we started walking towards the entrance of the building, my body and scent blocking him from the others' view even though he was taller than me.
As the others harshly turned I halted in my spot and he came crashing into my back making me groan.
I tilt my head to look at him as he moves, and I can see he's about to speak.
Idiot.
I reach up and press a finger onto my lips making him instantly close his mouth as "shhh..." leaves my lips.
The horde, they seem to be busy enough tearing into their brains for now when I glance back at them.
I point towards the doors as we begin to move again but silently and cautiously as I watch him push the doors open before stepping inside.
I take a peek behind me again, glancing at the clueless horde before stepping inside as well, letting the doors shut soundlessly behind me.
Motioning him to follow me, he lifts his gun, ignoring the sounds of crunching paper and glass under our feet as we made our way down the empty front and up the stairs.
The stairs creaked under our weight, but time only seemed to continue moving as we made our way towards the second floor and walked down the hall towards the last room.
When we stepped inside he looked around in dismay, and distraught.
We had made one hell of a mess. And we... no I was now just another monster in his book.
I push the thoughts out of my head and walked over to the cabinet and went to pull it open.
A loud bang immediately fills my ears as my body jolts backward falling hard with a thump onto the ground, my eyes fluttering shut due to the impact the bullet has caused.
