The Musain Academy

Rolf Grantaire knocked on his sister's door at 6am in the morning. Her first day at the Musain Academy.

Knock knock knock
"Elena?"
Knock knock knock
"Elena?"
Knock knock knock
"Elena?"

That was replied with his little sister groaning and walking up to the door. It flung open and Elena Grantaire stood there glaring at her brother. "What? What? What?" She asked, sarcasam dripping out of her voice.

All that Rolf did, was smile. "It's your first day at the Musain Academy," he said, grinning. Elena sighed. She only knew one person there. Her brother. And who would look after poor Fallon?

Fallon Grantaire had been extremely sick for the past few months. Elena had left school to look after but because of her leaving, Elena's school wasn't willing to have her back. So now she was joining her brother's school. The very posh and well known Musain Academy.

Elena closed the door in his face. "If you don't get ready you lose your phone rights Elena! Do you hear me?!" Rolf yelled.
"Yeah yeah!" She replied.
"Good," R said, leaving to get himself ready.

Elena sighed and started humming a song. She called out, "Alexa, play my tunes." The Alexa turned on and started playing the girl's favourite songs as she got ready. After she was ready, she danced around her room as one does when they're bored. But her little dance party was interrupted by Rolf banging on the door.

"Elena! You better be ready!" he yelled.
"I am ready!" Elena replied.
"Come on then!" he urged. Elena stepped out of the door and Rolf smiled. "I think you're ready for school little sis," he said. Elena nodded and motioned for Rolf to go on. She went to Fallon's door and knocked three times.

"Come in Elena," the groggy voice called. Elena frowned ever so slightly. Elena stuck her head into the room. "I'm off to school so I just wanted to say I love you Fallon," Elena said. Fallon smiled and Elena closed the door. Rolf was waiting for her in the kitchen. He held out a waffle for her. She grinned and took it out of his hands. She started eating whilst Rolf did something on his phone. She then finished eating and turned towards him.

"Who you texting?" Elena asked.
"My friends," he replied without looking up.
"You still can't get a girlfriend," she muttered laughing under her breath. His head snapped to the girl and he glared. Elena raised her hands in surrender and laughed. "Come on. We need to get to school. We walk," Rolf said smiling sarcastically. Elena groaned as they started walking to school.

When they arrived at the school, the loud nature of the students shocked Elena. She didn't expect it to be that loud. Rolf laughed slightly and motioned for her to follow him. He led her into a small room. It was quieter than the school. Elena let out a sigh out of relief. But then she saw the room had a group inside. They all looked over and greeted Rolf. Rolf grinned and turned towards Elena who cocked her head in confusion. "Okay. There's Gabriel Enjolras, Desmond Combeferre, James Courfeyrac, Louis Bahorel, John Feuilly, Jean Prouvaire, Jack Bosseut and Alex Joly. The Les Amis," Grantaire explained. When their names were mentioned, each boy  waved at her.

Elena then realised that it was her turn to introduce herself. "Sup. I'm Elena, I don't really have any talents and I spend most of my time watching theories," she greeted. The boys nodded. Then Elena heard a voice speaking on the other side of a phone. Louis was calling someone and they looked to be having a small argument.

"You and AJ need to come to school! The teachers will give you detention and your sister will murder you!" Louis exclaimed. The voice replied again and Louis rolled his eyes. He turned to Gabriel and begged, "Please help." Gabriel nodded and Louis put the phone on speaker. "Lexis you and AJ need to show up today. Rolf's sister is here and you two are the only girls in the friend group. Please come," Gabriel said.
"Alright, what do you want me and AJ to do? We're at her house, in our pyjamas and watching Disney. We're not coming." Lexis snapped. Then she hung up and Louis groaned.

"Who's that?" Elena asked.
"Louis' girlfriend," Rolf teased. Elena laughed as Louis blushed.
"We gotta keep it a secret though. If Ariana, Lexis' sister, finds out she will murder me. I am honest. My head will be on a stick," Louis explained. Elena nodded. She slowly got to know the boys. Gabriel didn't believe in love, Desmond had pet moths, James was dating a girl called Tari Mari, John had an adopted daughter called Lily, Jean was a poet, Jack was extremely unlucky and Alex was studying to be a doctor. Then the door opened and in came Lexis Howard.

Louis grinned and hugged the girl. Elena smiled slightly and Lexis turned to her. "I'm Lexis Howard, you must be Elena right?" she asked. Elena nodded and Lexis smiled.
"Lexis where's AJ?" James asked.
"Oh, AJ. She's went to catch up with Alex," Lexis explained.
"Alex?" Elena mumbled.
"Her twin brother," Rolf added. Elena nodded again. There was a slight moment of silence and then a loud commotion from outside. Then three loud bangs on the room's door.

Gabriel jumped up and answered it. A boy stood there and whispered something into his ear frantically. Gabriel's eyes widened as he turned to the group. "It's AJ," he said. The boys got up and left the room, Elena following in confusion. Then she saw it. A girl talking to a large crowd and another girl on the verge of sobbing.

"AJ!" Gabriel called out. "Calm down!". AJ turned to him and motioned to the girl. Gabriel nodded. "I know. Come on. Let's go to the meeting room. Alright? James, you stay here and look after Tari Mari," Gabriel said. James nodded and they left for the meeting room.
"What on earth is happening?" Elena asked herself before walking into the room herself. This was the start of day one.
