TWTWTW: Abuse, implied rape, blood/gore, panic attack

I wake up the next day and look around. I get dressed and head to the bathroom. I do my business and brush my teeth. I explore the house a bit and find a small room full of books. I scan the shelves and notice the books I asked to buy are on the shelf. I pick up book one of The Hunger Games and smile. This was, after all, the first book I've read on my own. The difference now is the knowledge difference. After helping out with some of the other girls' homework I've become quite smart. And there were always a lot of books at the 'home'. I shake my head, trying to get rid of the terrible memories that happened the night before I was saved.

[Flash Back]

"N-no. Please don't!" I scream as he whipped me, tears streaming down my face. "You have a mate now. You deserve this. You deserve this. Say it!" He slashed once more causing me to scream. "I deserve this," I whimper out. He continues till I counted twenty slashes while saying cruel things that I remember all too well. "Come you slut." He commanded. I pick myself up out of the pool of blood. "Now time for your second punishment."

[Flash Back End]

I shiver at what happened next. I can still feel his hands on my hips. I feel dirty. "Davi? Oh, you're in here. Why are you crying? Are you ok?" I hear Ruby say. "I-I feel horrible." I start sobbing at the memories flooding through my mind. I feel arms wrap around me and a muffled voice of what seemed to be Ruby. Soon I feel her pick me up. I land on something soft. My breathing gets quicker the more the thoughts swirl. I scream, "Make the thoughts go away! Help me!" I start coughing as I can't breathe. Soon, after what felt like hours, an overwhelming calm overtakes me as darkness envelopes me. My tears slowed as I fall into an anxious rest.

I wake up that night, and I look around the room, before looking at the analog clock on the wall. 8:04 pm it says. I can't believe I slept all day. I get up and walk out to the hallway. I hear talking coming from the kitchen. I walk in and was smothered by Ruby. Calm down, baby. You'll overwhelm her." Ruby goes quiet and nods, hugging me before going back to the stove. "Are you okay, Davi?" I nod and take a breath. "Yeah. Still a bit anxious and tired." I yawn. "Well, you can sleep after supper and I'll make some vanilla and lavender tea to calm you. I nod and eat. It was lasagna again. It was just as good the second time. I have to say it is my favorite dish she has made and I've only had 8 other meals, one was fast food so that doesn't count. After I ate I got my bandages changed, laid down, and fell into an anxious rest.

It's been a few months since I was freed. It was time for me to pack all they gave me and move into my adoptive parents' home. Its currently September 23rd, 2010. The day my life, hopefully, changes. I put all my clothes in two suitcases and then three medium boxes for my stuff. It includes posters, drawing materials, stuffed animals, and a specific plushie that they bought me. It's a blue dino plushie. I love it so much! I remember when they bought it for me.

[Flashback to 2 weeks prev.]

Ruby and I finish teleporting all the room decor to my new family's house along with how I wanted my room to look. They have two weeks to paint and put up the stickers. That should be enough time. As I was thinking Damien came back and says, "Davi, guess what?" I look at him confused. "I have a special plush that was made just for you. It's a lavender, amethyst-protected dino. And it's blue your favorite color. I squealed when I see it. "It's so cute! Thank you Dam-Dam!" He looks surprised. "Dam-Dam, huh?" I nod. "Ruby is Roo-Roo and you're Dam-Dam," I say in a wanna-be smart tone. He chuckled, "Ok then you are Vivi." I grin. "I'm gonna miss you guys. They agree and hug me. "We will always be there. We will give you something when you leave that is for emergencies." I nod and hug them back.

[Flashback End]

Roo-Roo walks in and hugs me. "They're here. Take this. It'll protect you as long as you have it in person." She gives a sterling silver ring with amethyst and ruby. The gems were shaped like hearts and they were bound together. The engraving is an ancient text. "It says 'Protection and Love." She says as she slips the ring on my finger. "You have a bright future. Don't let bad times ruin it. And if it gets bad run to Salem. There is family there." She whispers to me before hugging me and kissing my forehead. We walk out of the room and down the stairs. And like that two amazing smells waft through the air. "Roo do you smell that?" She shakes her head, "It smells like mint and strawberries." We walk into the room and my eyes land on the two girls with them. "Mate," they say. "Mate," I whisper. "I'm Davi. Davi Rayne. Who are you, beautiful people?" They both blush. "I- I'm Samantha Woods and this is Charity. Don't mind her. She doesn't like talking much." I nod and Charity says, "I can speak for myself, Sammy.". "Oh sorry, hun. Why don't you introduce yourself if you feel like it." Charity nods and gives me a two-finger salute, "The name is Charity, Charity Fall, or you can call me Chara." I smile. "I'm Davi. Davi Rayne. I'm 10 what about you guys?" I ask curiously. "10." Says Sam. "12. Also I'm adopted like you." I nod with a grin. We start talking about our interests and eventually, we brought up the new series that is coming out next month. "I heard gen four is gonna be even better than three. But I can't wait to get home and watch Looney Toons." I grin and was about to respond when the mother says. "Ok, we are gonna cut your conversation because we need to introduce ourselves. I'm Stella Woods and this is Xavier Woods. You already met Samantha and Charity. We also have a son who is in college so he isn't here. His name is Kevin. You'll be seeing him during Yule because he gets off for the holidays." I smile, "It's really nice to meet you both." Stella grinned, "Right back at you. Right babe?" He looks at me and gives a small grin and nods. "Are we ready to go, babe?" He says and she nods. "Say your goodbyes, Davi." I rush to Damien and Ruby and hug them tightly. Ruby gives me a small cardboard box and whispers, "Just in case." I nod and follow them out, my duffle bag and boxes, except for the one in my hands, get teleported to their home. I have to stay strong for them. I hope that we can meet again. I close the door and I sigh, as a new chapter is starting in my life. I'm not ready.
