(Dragon Wars) Lost Hope

Chapter 14: Always Be With You

I blinked my eyes a few times, as I looked at my friend Sola for a bit of some time all at the exact same time as well, as I saw that she had her eyes on the prize right now, which was of course, the prize just so happened to be a horse, and not just one of them, as I licked my lips, as I could not wait to bring the precious prey back to our camp all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
The only problem was, that horses were faster than we were, even when we were in the air, so it was for sure going to be hard for us to try to catch one of them, and we would in fact be screwed it it was of course if they saw us before it was that we even got any where near them, as we would not have a single chance to catch them if that was in fact the case, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
I breathed in quite a bit heavily to my self, as I did my best to try to calm my self down, as me and Sola held on to the strong limb that we were both standing on right now, which was for sure a risky move to make, even if it was a strong limb, as I knew that the both of us on top of it was in fact holding quite a bit of some weight, even if we were not at all black dragons what so ever, all at the exact same time as well.
I winced at the thought of any black dragons what so ever, as it did in fact still hurt me to this point that I was not going to ever get to see Aitoka again, unless it was that we were at the gathering, which would only happen once a year, and that was not enough to keep in touch with her, and that was not enough to make sure that we were in fact still in love with each other in the very first place any ways, none the less, either.
Though, if I was going to be for real with my self, it might be for the best, as I felt like I had been betrayed, and I had got stabbed in the back by her, all at the exact same time as well, as she had put all of the blame of the death of my friend Plyma on to me, all at the exact same time too, while I had been the only one that had tried to stop Plyma, and try to save him, whilst the other 2 had been cowering in the corner of the cave, afraid of the human that was standing in front of them.
Though I suppose that they had a good reason to be a bit afraid of him, now that I came to think on it, and now that I began to remember once again as to just what it was that had happened, and just what it was that the human had even done to us all, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew for sure that I was never going to ever try to leave the dragon lands that we lived on ever again, no matter what was the case, if I was not going to lie to my self either, none the less.
Though, the whole reason that we had even gone out there in the very first place any ways, was to go out and go explore the world out side, as we had got tired of the small and boring land that the dragons even lived on in the very first place any ways. Now, thanks to what all had even happened in the very first place any ways, it seemed like the small amount of land that we even got, and that we even lived on in the very first place any ways, was going to get even smaller, due to the restriction that Zogan had pulled.
I breathed in quite a bit to my self, as I did my best to try to calm my self down all at once, all at the exact same time as well, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of the other thoughts that I had been thinking on long before now, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden began to start to look over to Sola, who I saw that she had quite a bit of a big smile on her face, as to the fact that she was looking at all of the prey that was under neath us right at this very moment in time any ways, all at the exact same time too.
I had nearly forgot as to just what it was that we had even been doing in the very first place any ways, but this gave me quite a bit of a quick reminder, as I then all of the sudden let out quite a bit of soft sigh to my self, as I did my best to try to calm my self down, all at the exact same time as well, as I just stared at Sola for quite a bit longer, as I felt like I could not help but to know as to just how beautiful it was that she even was in the very first place any ways, none the less.
She might not be as beautiful as Aitoka was in my eyes, but there still was with out a single doubt in my mind, all at the exact same time as well, that she was in fact quite a bit of a beautiful dragon, as I could not help but to not get my eyes off of her, as I could not help but to feel like I was in a bit of a daze, and I was stuck in a bit of some weird sort of thoughts right now, as I knew that as good as a friend as she was, I knew that she was the sister of my best friend, and I kind of felt like that made things a little bit weird, none the less.
I began to start to breath in quite a bit of a soft sigh to my self all at once, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of those other thoughts that I had in fact been thinking on long before now, as I got my eyes, and I got my focus back on to the present, which I saw that Sola was looking at me with her head tilted a bit, as it was clear that she had noticed me staring at her, and she was a bit lost, and she was a bit confused as to just what it was that I was even doing right now in the very first place any ways.
I blinked my eyes a few times, as I felt quite a bit embarrassed by it if I was not going to lie to my self either, as I was just about to go on ahead and dip my head a bit low to the ground, due to that fact of course, when I then all of the sudden began to start to notice that Sola did in fact nod back to me all at once, which confused me a bit at first as to just what it was that was even going on right at this very moment in time any ways, and just what it was that she was even doing right now in the very first place any ways, all at the exact same time too.
I stared at her right in to her eyes for a bit more time, until I then all of the sudden began to start to realize that she was simply letting me know that she was in fact about to go on ahead and start to speak to me, as it was clear that she wanted to make sure that I was paying attention all at the exact same time as well, which I was not in fact, as I had completely forgot as to just what it was that we had even been doing in the very first place any ways, all at the exact same time as well, never the less once again.
I breathed in quite a bit heavily to my self all of the sudden, as I did my best to try to get my mind, and to try to get my focus off of all of the rest of those of those other thoughts that I had in fact been thinking on long before hand, as I then all of the sudden just went on ahead and began to start to nod back to my good friend Sola all of the sudden, to let her know that I was in fact paying attention to her right at this very moment in time, in the very first place any ways, none the less.
It was clear that it had in fact thankfully made her feel quite a bit better all at the exact same time too, as she then did in fact finally begin to start to go right on ahead and begin to start to speak to me all of the sudden, as I did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that she even had to say to me all the exact same time as well, none the less.
"Himla... Are you there with me? Did you not just here what I said? I told you that we have to do this on 3! That way we can catch them while they are off guard, and whilst they are running rampant all over the place trying to get away..." She said to me, as I blinked my eyes a few times, as I was still quite a bit lost if I was not going to lie to my self either, due to the fact that I did in fact have my mind, and my focus on some much different thoughts than all of that long before now, all at the exact same time as well, too, but in the end, I did in fact go right on ahead and blink my eyes a few times, as I then all of the sudden nodded back as a bit of a short and simple response back to her all of the sudden, just to let her know that I was in fact paying attention to her right now, and I had in fact heard as to just what it was that she had even said, though if I was going to be for real with my self, I was in fact fairly certain that I had in fact missed as to just what it was that she had even said to me a few moments ago, all at the exact same time as well. I breathed in quite a bit heavily to my self either way how ever, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of those other thoughts that I had in fact been thinking on long before now once again, as Sola then did in fact begin to start to turn her head away from me all of the sudden, to get all that she had even said in the very first place any ways, started, and in to motion, as I was in fact paying attention, and I was in fact listening to her this time, as I got my eyes on to the horses that were below us all of the sudden, as I then began to start to hear what it was that Sola was saying right now all of the sudden, all at the exact same time as well, never the less. "1... 2... 3!"
Just as soon as it was that I had heard her say 3, I heard the wings of hers begin to start to fly down on to the horses that were below us right at this very moment in time too, as I breathed in quite a bit heavily to my self once again, as I then began to start to do the exact same thing that she was even doing right at this very moment in time as well, as I then all of the sudden began to start to fly down on all of the horses that were below us all at the exact same time too.
As soon as it was that I was in fact down, I noticed that the horses had already heard us coming, as they were already long gone from the place that I was going over to try to catch a specific one, as I was quite a bit upset by it at first, as I felt like it was nearly impossible to catch a horse if I was not going to lie to my self either, but just as soon as I thought those kind of thoughts how ever, I then began to start to see some thing flying over as to just where it was that I was at right now.
Well not really flying over, as I knew that horses did not have wings like we did, which kind of scared me to think if they did have wings, just what it was that they could even do in the very first place any ways, as I quickly began to get my mind, and my focus off of all of those other thoughts, all at the exact same time too, as I knew as to just what it was that I had to do, before it was that the horse that was coming at me right now, was to go on ahead and veer of in the other direction, as soon as it was that it had noticed that there was another dragon in front of its self right at this very moment in time as well, none the less.
I quicky jumped on top of the horse, and I took it straight to the ground, as I cut it right in to it's throat with my claws all of the sudden, as that was after all what it was that we had always been told to do for every animal that we had caught, all at the exact same time as well, as that was due to the fact that we did not want to tear them apart, as I knew that the dragons back in the camp were in fact going to eat it later all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
I was sure that they would be happy to see us bring horses back in to camp all at the exact same time as well, as I knew that it was a rare thing to catch for one thing, but not only that, it was also a very good thing to eat, as it filled up a dragon very fast, and for a very long time at that, due to the fact that they had a lot more muscle that some of most of the other animals that it was that we even caught, all at the exact same time as well, none the less, once again.
I blinked my eyes quite a few times all of the sudden, as I kind of felt like I could not help but to have quite a bit of a big smile on my face all at the exact same time as well, as I saw that Sola also had one in her paws as she was carrying it quite a bit heavily over to me, to show me the one that she had caught, all at the exact same time as well, as she had the same big smile on her own face, as I had on mine right now, as she saw that I too had also caught a horse my self none the less, at that.
We just seemed to stare at each other for quite a bit of some time, as I then all of the sudden began to start to get the same feelings for the red dragon that was in front of me right at this very moment in time as well, that I had long before now, as I did my best to try to calm my self down all at once, once again, as I quickly did my best to try to get my mind off of all of those other thoughts, as I breathed in a bit of soft sigh to my self all of the sudden, once again none the less.
I then just simply stared at Sola with quite a bit of a blank look on my face, as I saw that the smile that she had on her face before hand, had now all of the sudden began to start to go away, which I felt a bit bad about, all at the exact same time as well, if I was not going to lie to my self either, as that was not what it was that I had really wanted to do either, but in the end how ever, I did in fact simply nod to her all of the sudden, to let her know that I was in fact about to go right on ahead and start to speak to her, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
Sola seemed to just stare right back at me with a bit of a blank look of her own on her face all of the sudden, which I felt a bit bad about still if I was not going to lie to my self either, as I felt like I needed to lighten the mood that was in the air once again, as I then all of the sudden saw that Sola in the end did in fact go right on ahead and begin to start to nod back to her in a bit of some response, to let me know that she was in fact thankfully paying attention as to just what it was that I was about to say to her at the very least, all at the exact same time as well.
I breathed in quite a bit heavily to my self all of the sudden, as I did my best to try to calm my self down, as I did my best to try to get my mind, and to try to get my focus off of all of those other thoughts once again, as I just cracked the same smile on my face that I had just a few moments ago, all at the exact same time as well, as I then did in fact begin to start to speak to my friend, now that it was that I did in fact realize that she was in fact beginning to start to listen as to just what it was that I even had to say to her in the very first place any ways, none the less.
"Alright Sola... Let's get these horses back to camp before it's too late in the day! Wanna have them fresh to eat, I bet there will be a lot of happy dragons that get to have a taste of them!" I said to her, as I noticed that after it was that I had in fact said it to her, all at the exact same time as well, my friend Sola did not have the same look and the same smile that she had on her face before hand, as it seemed like she now was starting to have her mind in some dark thoughts all of the sudden her self, all at the exact same time as well.
I felt like I was kind of the blame for that if I was not going to lie to my self either, as I did my best to try to calm my self down, as I felt like she had noticed the bit of a dark look that I had on my own face just a few moments before now, and she kind of felt bad about it, and she might be trying to think on just what it was that I had been thinking about, all at the exact same time as well, which I felt like I needed to once again try not to think about.
We had gone on this hunting trip together to clear our mind, and to get our mind off of all of those thoughts, but now it seemed like I had my mind, and my focus right back on to the thoughts that had in fact been on my mind long before now, all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to try to calm my self down in the mean time, as I just shook my head a bit to my self, as soon as it was that I had in fact seen Sola go right on ahead and nod back to me, none the less.
How ever, Sola did not seem to have the same smile that she had on her face not all too much longer before now, which I kind of cursed my self out for that one, as I knew that it was my own fault for that, as I did my best to try to calm my self down, and to just not think on that, and keep the same smile as I had on my face long before now, none the less, as we headed back to the camp, as I felt like that was what it was that the both of us needed right at this very moment in time any ways, rather than us to just be stuck in our own dark state of mind, once again.
I just held the same smile that I had right before now, all at the exact same time too, as I then did in fact take the lead for me and Sola on the way back to the camp, all at the exact same time as well, none the less, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of those other thoughts that I had in fact been thinking on long before now once again, as I then all of the sudden began to start to go up high in the sky, and I began to start to fly up there, all at the exact same time as well, as I did my best to try to calm my self down, as I did so.
I flew up as fast as I could, as I knew that I was one of the fastest dragons in the tribe at that, all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to try to get my mind, and to get my focus off of all of the rest of the other thoughts that had been on my mind, long before now, all at once, as I then all of the sudden began to start to hear the wings of Sola flying from right behind me, all at the exact same time too, as it did in fact keep the same smile that I had on my face before hand on my face once again, as it felt like things were in fact going to get better for the both of us, none the less.
I blinked my eyes a few times, as I got my mind on the fact that I could in fact see the camp long aways in the distance, all at the exact same time as well, now that it was that we were way above the trees, as I felt like it was so far away, even though I knew that we were going to be there in no time. Perhaps I was just over thinking, and I was over reacting about all of this, as I felt like things were going to be fine, and that I did not need to worry about not having enough land for us to have a good life.
Though, it still did have me a little bit worried, and it still had me quite a bit but irked if I was not going to lie to my self either, of course, about the fact that had to do with us not going to go and see, and talk to the black dragons that we had once used to. I felt like I could not help but to still think that it was a part my fault, which it was of course, at least partially, as I knew that I had in fact agreed on the fact that I had wanted to go out side, and I wanted to go explore the world with my friends, none the less.
I did my best to try to calm my self down, as I knew that there was more to be thinking about right now than just that, as I knew that I should be mourning the loss of my friend, and not trying to get on any thing that has to do with there being some sort of hate movement that was being spread around all of the tribes right now where it was that it kind of seemed like Zogan was trying to get the both of the species to hate each other.
I was probably just over thinking all of that, as he was probably thinking the same way that I was right now, which was of course the fact that he was just in quite a bit of some pain over the fact that he had lost the life of his son, just as I had lost the life of his best friend, and he was just trying to think some ways to ease, and to cope with his pain, and also to make sure that what it was that had in fact happened in that cave that night, was not to happen ever again at that.
I shook my head, as I did my best to just try to get my mind, and my focus off of all of that, all at the exact same time too, as I just kept on going about with what it was that I had even been doing in the very first place any ways, which was of course the fact that I knew that I had to take my good friend Sola back with me to camp, as we had in fact just caught some good prey, as I knew that was for sure some thing to be happy for, and also it was some thing to be proud of at that never the less.
I blinked my eyes a few times, just a bit to my self, as I kind of felt like I still could not think about the fact that I knew that it was going to for sure be a long flight back to camp no matter what it was that was in fact to be the case, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I got my mind, and I got my focus on just the fact that we needed to get back to camp either way, no matter what was the case, and that was that, as well.
