Chapter 29: Duel To The Death

I blinked my eyes a few times, as I could see the look of denial on the face of my best friend, as it was clear that he did not want to believe as to just what it was that I had even just said to him, all at the exact same time as well, which I suppose that I could not blame him for one bit, either.
That was his father, like it or not, as much as I knew that he was not a fan of his father, and he did not like his father all that much. I knew that it was still his father, and I knew that some where in side of him, he still did love his father, and that some where in side of him, he just refused to believe as to just what it was that I had even told him, all at the exact same time too.
Me how ever, I did not like his father one bit, as a matter of fact, I did in fact hate his father. I wanted his father dead, and I wanted to be the one to do it, all at the exact same time as well, for just what it was that he had in fact done to my own father, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that he had broken all of the rules of the dragons code, all at the exact same time too.
I still was not all too sure as to just how it was that Zogan could get as much support as it was that he had right now, all at the exact same time as well, none the less. Though I was sure that he had manipulated them into supporting him as well. It all made me feel quite a bit sick, as I did in fact begin to start to think on it a bit more, all at the exact same time too.
I kind of just began to start to breath in quite a bit heavily to my self all of the sudden, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of those other thoughts that I had in fact been thinking on long before now, which of course had to do with the fact that I was in fact with my best friend right now. My best friend had tried to attack me as well, as I could see the anger in his eyes still, as it was clear that he still was in fact not ready to believe a word as to just what it was that I had in fact just said to him, all at the exact same time as well, which I still could not blame him for, none the less.
I could only imagine being stuck in that cave for who knows how long, as I did not have a clue as to just how it was that he had gotten out, nor did I have the time to think on that what so ever, at all right now, all at the exact same time too. He was alive, and that was all that really mattered, as I felt like he might be the key to ending all of this, all at the exact same time too, as this was the reason that all of this had in fact even started, all at the exact same time as well.
Though, I knew that it would not end for me until it was that Zogan was in fact dead, as I was sure that I was not the only red dragon that felt that way, all at the exact same time as well, none the less. I knew there were tons of red dragons that had lost their families, and had lost their loved ones, due to the fact as to just what it was that Zogan had in fact done, all at the exact same time too, once again.
I breathed in quite a bit heavily to my self all of the sudden, as I kind of just did my best to get my mind, and to get my focus off of all of the rest of those other thoughts that I had in fact been thinking, that did in fact have to do with that, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden began to start to shake my head over to my best friend, all at the exact same time too, as I was still in quite a bit of some shock that he was even still alive right now, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
He was the only reason that this war was still going, and I felt like I needed to set the record straight, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden began to start to nod to my friend, all at the exact same time as well, to finally let him know that I was in fact ready to go right on ahead and begin to start to speak to him, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I then all of the sudden did in fact see him nod back to me not all too much longer after just what it was that I had in fact just done, all at the exact same time too.
I saw that he was not all too sure as to just what it was that he should think right now, which was at least good on the fact that he was no longer trying to attack me, and he was no longer angry at me, such as it was that he had in fact been just a few moments before now, all at the exact same time as well, none the less, as I kind of just let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self, all of the sudden, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of that other stuff that I had in fact been thinking on long before now, all at the exact same time as well, once again.
As I stood there for just a bit more time, that was when I then all of the sudden began to start to get my mind, and I began to start to get my focus on the fact that I knew that I did in fact need to start to speak to him, all at the exact same time too, as I then did in fact begin to start to do as such a thing like that, all at once, now that it was that I did in fact realize that he was in fact listening as to just what it was that I had to say to him, all at the exact same time too, rather than it be that he was lost in his head right now, which I felt like he very well could be as well, at that.
"Your father has been lying to so many dragons all this time... He tried to say that I murdered you... I wanted to help you... But they were all scared... I didn't know what to do... We weren't sure if you were alive in there... I just... I'm sorry Plyma..." I said to him, as I then all of the sudden began to start to dip my head a little bit low to the ground, all at the exact same time too, as I was not all too sure as to just what else it was that I should really say to him, other than that, all at the exact same time too, once again.
I just kind of began to start to breath in quite a bit heavily to my self all of the sudden, as I then all of the sudden began to start to get my mind, and I began to start to get my focus on the fact that of course had to do with me needing to go on ahead and start to lift my head up. I knew that now was not the time to act like a coward, and to stare at the ground right now, as I knew that now was a time that I needed to be strong.
I could practically feel the blood of my father rolling through my veins right now, as I still remember the last thing that he had asked me, when he had seen me that time when he had given the role as leader to me, all at the exact same time too. I breathed in quite a bit heavily to my self, all at once, as I did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could, as I knew that I was angry, and I did not need to put that anger on my friend at all right now, none the less.
I knew that my friend was simply just lost right now, as it was clear that he was not all too sure as to just what it was that he should believe right now, as I saw that he had his eyes wide open, all at once, as I could tell that he was thinking a lot of thoughts through his head, all at once, as I then all of the sudden began to start to get my mind, and I began to start to get my focus on the thoughts that more or less just had to do with me needing to get all of this over with.
As Plyma seemed to stare out in to emptiness, and in to the abyss for just a little bit longer, that was when he then all of the sudden finally began to start to lift his head up to me, all at the exact same time too, as I kind of let out a bit of a soft sigh of some sort of relief to my self, as soon as it was that he had in fact done as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time as well, never the less. It felt like things might end up all okay in the end for me.
Well of course, besides the fact that I no longer had my father by my side, and I was now the leader of my tribe, which for sure was a lot of stress, and a lot of pressure on me, all at the exact same time as well, none the less. I still just felt like every thing was going to be fine, and I felt like every thing was in fact going to be okay, all at the exact same time too, as I kind of just got my mind, and I got my focus back on to just what it was that was even going on right now, all at the exact same time too, once again.
Plyma was looking at me right in to my eyes, as it was clear that he was trying to make sure that I was being for real with what it was that I had in fact said to him, all at the exact same time too, and that I was in fact not lying, all at the exact same time as well, which I of course was not, as I knew that I was never one to lie to my friend what so ever, all at the exact same time too, never the less.
He was well aware of that, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew that he was having to make the hard choice of his father, and his best friend, which I knew for a fact, even if I did not like his father what so ever, would be a hard choice for me to make, all at the exact same time as well, none the less, as I felt quite a bit bad for Plyma, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, once again.
Plyma just then all of the sudden began to start to nod to me finally, all of the sudden, all at the exact same time as well, as I did in fact feel quite a bit better now that it was that he had in fact done as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too, as I felt like it was clear to me that he was in fact finally about ready to go right on ahead and finally speak back to me, and to finally respond to me, all at the exact same time too.
As I stared at him for just a few moments longer, I in the the end did in fact nod back to him, all at the exact same time as well, once it was that I felt like I was ready to hear what it was that he did in fact have to say back to me, all at the exact same time as well, once again, at that. I wanted him to know for a fact that I was in fact paying attention as to just what it was that he did in fact have to say to me, all at the exact same time as well, once again.
Now that it was that he did in fact realize that he did in fact have my attention on to him, all the exact same time too, that was when he then did in fact begin to start to go right on ahead and start to speak to me, all at the exact same time as well. I did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as cool as I felt like I possibly could in the mean time, all at the exact same time too, all at once. I then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he did in fact even have to say back to me, all at the exact same time too, all at once, at that.
"Well... It all starts to make sense now that you say that... I just... I am sorry Himla... You've been a good friend to me, I just don't know what to do... I was in that cave for so long... So hungry... So thirsty... You don't under stand..." He said to me, all at once, as I could in fact see the pain in his face, and I could see the pain in his eyes, as to just what it was that he had in fact even just said to me, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
It was clear that he had made his hard decision, and I was lucky, and I was glad that he had chosen my side over his father, all at the exact same time too, once again. I felt like I was bad at speaking, and I was bad with my words, all at the exact same time as well, so I was glad that I had said that in a way that he had under stood me, all at the exact same time too. Though I suppose that we were in fact best friends, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, so I felt like it would make sense as to just how it was that he would in fact under stand as to just what it was that I had even said to him, all at the exact same time too.
I did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of that other stuff that I had in fact been thinking on long before now, all at once, as I then all of the sudden began to start to nod back to my best friend, all at the exact same time too, as I almost wanted to go over to him, and to hug him right now, all at the exact same time too.
Though that might also be a very bad idea, all at the exact same time as well, as I was still not all too sure if he did in fact fully trust me just yet, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that it was probably for the better, all at the exact same time as well, that I did not try to push the limits to war, all at the exact same time as well. We were in fact in the middle of a battle right now, all at the exact same time as well, as for all that I knew, some one might come to help one of us, as they might look as if we were in a big battle right now, all at the exact same time too.
Judging by the looks of things all around me right now, all at the exact same time as well, I knew that it was more than likely more dangerous for Plyma than it was for me right now, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew for a fact, that I did not want to put my friend in that sort of position what so ever, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I kind of just let out a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at the exact same time as well, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of those other thoughts that I had in fact been thinking on long before now, all at the exact same time as well, once again.
I breathed in quite a bit heavily to my self all of the sudden, as I then all of the sudden began to start to nod back to my friend for real this time, all of the sudden, to let him know that I was in fact about to speak up to him, all at the exact same time too, and that I was in fact going to get this all settled, and I was going to finish this all off, all at the exact same time as well. As I knew that it was time to finish as to just what it was that his father had in fact even started, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I began to start to breath in quite a bit heavily to my self all of the sudden, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of that other stuff that I had in fact been thinking on once again, long before now, at that.
I stared at my friend right in to his eyes, for just a little bit longer, as I could still tell that he was afraid, and he still was not all too sure, just judging based off of the look on his face. How ever, in the end, he did in fact thankfully go right on ahead and begin to start to nod back to me, all at the exact same time as well, to let me know that at the very least, he was in fact paying attention as to just what it was that I even was about to go right on ahead and say to him, all at the exact same time too.
As I saw him do as such a thing like that, that was when I then began to start to feel a lot better about every thing, all at the exact same time too, as I was still very angry with just what it was that was even going on right now, but I knew what it was that had to be done now, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden began to start to go right on ahead and began to start to speak to Plyma, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew that he was in fact listening as to just what it was that I even had to say, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, once again.
"I know... It is all confusing... I don't under stand any of it either, and I don't under stand what I did wrong to take the blame... I am sorry about all that happened in the cave that night... I wish that I had helped you... But your father planned this from the beginning... He was just waiting for the right time... It has been building for decades..." I said to him, all at the exact same time as well, as I felt like for once, that what it was that I had in fact even just said back to my friend, all at the exact same time as well, did in fact make sense, as I was in fact quite a bit proud of my self, all at the exact same time as well, as I kind of just cracked a bit of a grin on my face, all at the exact same time as well, once again.
I kind of felt like that might be a little bit stupid, as to just what it was that I was doing right now. How ever, luckily enough for me, Plyma either did not seem to notice, or he really just did not seem to care, or think all too much as to just why it was that I seemed to have a little bit of a smile on my face right now, all at the exact same time as well, once again. I was glad that was the case, as I quickly removed the little smile that I did in fact have on my face right now, all at the exact same time as well, once again, now that it was that I did in fact begin to start to realize that, and I began to start to think on that a little bit more closely, all at the exact same time as well, once again.
I began to start to breath in quite a bit heavily to my self, all at once, as I did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I could right now, all at once, as Plyma then all of the sudden did in fact begin to start to nod back to me once again, all at once, as I wondered if this was the last time, all at once, as I was kind of afraid that one of us was going to get attacked at any moment, with how high up we were right now, as we were above the battle grounds right now, all at the exact same time as well, never the less.
As I just seemed to stare for a little bit longer, all at once, I then all of the sudden got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of that, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden just began to start to nod back to my good friend, all at the exact same time as well, to let him know that I was in fact paying attention to him still, right now, all at the exact same time too, never the less.
I did my best to try to keep my self calm, as I knew that I needed to get my mind, and I needed to get my focus back on to the task that was in fact in hand right now, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden did in fact begin to start to hear Plyma begin to start to continue to speak to me, just as it was that he had been planning on doing in the very first place any ways, once again. Now that it was that I did in fact hear him begin to start to speak to me, all at the exact same time as well, that was when I then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he even had to say to me in the very first place any ways, none the less.
"Well... I give you permission to go and kill my father... An eye for an eye... I suppose..." He said to me, as I was in fact quite a bit surprised as to just what it was that he had in fact said to me, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden began to start to blink my eyes a few times, all at the exact same time as well, as I was not all too sure as to just how it was that I should in fact respond as to just what it was that he had in fact even just said to me, all at the exact same time as well, once again.
I kind of just began to start to breath in quite a bit heavily to my self all of the sudden, as I then all of the sudden began to start to get my mind, and I began to start to get my focus more or less on the fact that I was starting to look around, as to just where it was that Zogan might be at right now, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I felt like it should be a lot easier than it was to see him around in the battle right now, all at the exact same time as well, as I kind of felt like I was going crazy right now, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that was even going on with me right now, at all, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
I kind of just began to start to breath in quite a bit heavily to my self all of the sudden, as I then all of the sudden began to start to pay attention, and I began to start to look all around me, all at the exact same time as well, as I saw that the battle was about completely over at this point, as I saw that no one was really fighting at this point, as I saw that once again, just like the last battle that we had in fact had, all at the exact same time as well, there were in fact a bunch of dragons that were in fact holding on to their dead loved ones, all at the exact same time as well.
It made me sick, as to the though of war, all at the exact same time as well, as it kind of made me think on the fact that none of this had to happen what so ever, if it were not for the fact that Plymas father had in fact been so evil, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I knew that all of these dragons could in fact still be alive right now, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
I knew that there had been battles in other tribes, not quite as big as this one, what so ever, all at the exact same time too, but in the end, I was sure that at least a thousand dragons had in fact died when all that was in fact said and done, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that none of this ever had to happen what so ever, all at the exact same time as well, as it then came back to the fact as to just why it was that I was even here right now, in the very first place any ways, once again.
My father, as I could still feel my heart pumping a little bit extra fast right now, as I was not all too sure if that were due to the adrenaline that was pumping through me right now, or if that were due to the fact that I knew that I wanted Zogan dead right now, all at the exact same time as well, as once it was that I began to start to remember as to the fact that it was in fact the reason as to just why it was that I was even here in the very first place any ways, that was when I then all of the sudden began to start to wake my self up.
I looked at my friend right in to his eyes, as I saw that he was doing the same for me, all at the exact same time as well, as it was clear to me that my friend did in fact know as to just where it was that his father was at right now, all at the exact same time as well, as it was clear that he was just waiting on me right now, all at the exact same time as well, once again, as I then all of the sudden began to start to breath in quite a bit heavily to my self all of the sudden, as I then all of the sudden began to start to speak to my friend, all at the exact same time too.
My friends face then all of the sudden seemed to wake up a little bit, all at once, as soon as it was that he had in fact began to start to hear me start to speak to him, all at the exact same time as well, as it was clear that he was paying attention to me right now. Now that it was that I knew that he was still there with me right now, that was when I then began to start to continue to speak to him, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew that he was in fact listening as to just what it was that I even had to say to him, all at the exact same time as well, once again.
"Tell me where your father is hiding at right now..." I said to him, all at once, as it was clear to me that I knew that his father was in fact hiding from the battle, all at the exact same time as well, as it was clear to me that for one thing, his father was in fact a coward. But it was also clear to me, all at the exact same time as well, that his father clearly did in fact realize as to just all that it was that he had in fact done up to this point, all at the exact same time too, was in fact wrong, and it was in fact evil, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
I kind of just stood there for just a little bit longer, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that was really going on, nor what it was that I should really be doing at all right now, all at the exact same time as well, as in the end, I then all of the sudden began to start to see that Plyma was now all of the sudden beginning to start to move past me, all at the exact same time as well, as I was a little bit afraid that at first, just as he had been doing not all too much longer before now, that he was in fact about to attack me.
I jumped back a little bit scared, all at once, all at the exact same time too, as I was still a little bit afraid of all of that, all at the exact same time too. I saw Plyma kind of roll his eyes over towards me, all at the exact same time as well, as he then all of the sudden shook his head over towards me, all at the exact same time too, as soon as it was that he had got right up close to me, all at the exact same time as well, as it was clear that he felt like I was being a little bit of an idiot right now, all at the exact same time too.
Which, fair enough, I might very well in fact be doing, but I felt like I could not help but to be a little bit on edge, and a little bit on my nerves right now, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew that I had gotten attacked from him just a few moments before hand, and I also began to start to remember that Loi had me held down just a few moments before now, all at the exact same time as well, none the less, as that had been a fairly scary moment for me, all at the exact same time as well.
I kind of just began to start to breath in quite a bit of a heavy sigh to my self all of the sudden, as I did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could, all at the exact same time as well, none the less. I then in the end, all of the sudden did in fact begin to start to see, all at once, all at the exact same time too, that Plyma then all of the sudden did in fact begin to start to nod back to me, all at the exact same time as well, as it was in fact quite a bit clear to me right now, that he was in fact paying attention, and that he was in fact about to speak back to me, all at the exact same time too.

As I stared at him with a bit of a blank look on my face, all at the exact same time as well, that was when I then began to start to calm my self down, all at the exact same time too. It then began to start to become clear to me, as to just what it was that he was doing right now, and just what it was that was even going on right now, all at the exact same time as well, once again. How ever, in the end, he did in fact begin to start to continue to speak to me any ways, as I then did in fact begin to start to continue to listen as to just what it was that he even had to continue to say to me, all at the exact same time as well, once again.
"Are you going to come with me or not? My father is in his cave right now..." He said to me, all at the exact same time as well, once again. It was almost as if he expected me to know as to just where it was that his father's cave, and where it was that the leaders den was even at, all at the exact same time too. As I was a little bit lost as to just what it was that he was even getting at, all at the exact same time too.
I was about to tilt my head over towards him all of the sudden, all at once, as that was of course until I then all of the sudden began to start to realize that it was not the case what so ever, once again. It was clear that he was taking me over to just where it was that his father's den was at, all at the exact same time too, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I was even thinking on long before now, all at the exact same time too, as to just how it was that I could even be as big of an idiot that I was even being right now, all at the exact same time as well, once again.
I just had a lot of thoughts that were going on through my head right now, as I knew that I had a lot of thoughts that were in fact distracting me right now, as I knew that I needed to get my mind, and I needed to get my focus off of all of that other stuff that I had in fact been thinking on long before now, all at the exact same time as well, once again, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of that other stuff that I had in fact even been thinking on long before now.
I then began to start to nod back to Plyma, all at the exact same time as well, to let him know that I was still with him right now, and that I was in fact waiting on him, for him to go right on ahead and take me over to just where it was that his father was hiding at, all at the exact same time too, just as it was that he had told me. I did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could in the mean time, all at the exact same time too, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of that other stuff that I had in fact been thinking on long before now, all at the exact same time too.
As I stood there for just a little bit longer, he then all of the sudden began to start to turn his head away from me, all at the exact same time as well, which I was a little bit lost as to just why that was in fact the case at first, all at the exact same time as well. How ever, in the end, he then did in fact slowly begin to fly past all of the dragons that were on the ground right now, all at the exact same time too. All of the dragons that were in fact on the ground right at this very moment in time as well, then all of the sudden began to start to lift their heads up to us, all at the exact same time as well, as I saw that they all were in fact looking up at us right now, as we did in fact continue to head up over to where it was that Plyma was in fact trying to take me to, all at the exact same time too.
I saw a lot of confused looks on a lot of the dragons, all at the exact same time as well, but the looks that I saw that seemed to daunt me, and seemed to make me feel the most sick, out of all of them, all at the exact same time as well, was of course the fact that the looks that the dragons did in fact have, all at the exact same time as well, none the less, just so happened to be a look of just about no hope left in them, what so ever.
It was clear that those were the ones that had lost their loved ones, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew that I did in fact feel the same pain as they did still, all at the exact same time as well, as that was of course the reason that I was in fact going with Plyma, to go and do what it was that he was taking me to do, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I then all of the sudden began to start to take my eyes, and my attention off of all of the dragons that were below me, all at the exact same time too.
I then got my attention on the fact that my friend Plyma, was now all of the sudden beginning to start to lower him self to the ground all of the sudden, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden began to start to do the exact same thing that it was that he just so happened to be doing right now, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I lowered my self down to where it was that he was at on the ground right now, all at the exact same time as well.
Once it was that I was down with him, all at the exact same time as well, that was when I then all of the sudden began to start to see him begin to start to nod ahead to me, all at the exact same time as well, as it was clear to me that he was trying to point me over to some thing right now. This time, I knew that I was not going to be stupid, as it was clear that what it was that was in fact in front of us right now, was in fact in the middle of the clearing, and it was also the biggest cave of them all, all at the exact same time too.
It was of course, Zogan's cave, as I breathed in quite a bit heavily to my self at first, as it still felt quite a bit strange for me to be at this point, all at the exact same time too, but I knew as to just what it was that I must do, all at the exact same time as well, never the less. I nodded back to Plyma, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden began to start to go right on ahead and head past him, all at the exact same time as well. I then stopped my self right at the front of the cave entrance all of the sudden.
I stared in to the darkness, all at once, as I could in fact see a dragon huddled up, as I could tell that he was afraid, as well. He had good reason to be, at that, as he should know that I was hear to kill him, all at the exact same time as well, once again. There was only so much that the evil dragon could get away with, and he should have known that his son was going to come to his senses, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
Perhaps he was hoping to buy some more time, or perhaps he was hoping that I would just be killed before it was that I got to him. He was very close to that point, with what it was that when Loi did in fact have me pinned down, all at the exact same time too, as I could have very easily died at that point, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, if Loi had not been stupid, and he had not fallen for the fact that I was trying to buy my self some more time, all at the exact same time too.
I kind of just got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of the rest of that other stuff that I had in fact been thinking on long before now, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden began to start to breath in quite a bit heavily to my self, all at the exact same time as well, never the less. I then began to start to speak up to Zogan, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I said the exact same words that it was that my father had in fact said, shortly before he had been murdered, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
"Zogan! I challenge you to a duel to the death!"
