Chapter 8 - New Beginnings

 I wake up after god knows how long, My siblings are not in the beds next to me. Instead sits Camilo reading a book. "Where are they?" I ask, Camilo looks up startled. "You're awake!" he says a smile on my face. "You act like I went into a coma," I say "now where are my siblings" Camilo laughs. 

"There baking with Mira Y/N you can calm down," He says "and you've basically been in a coma Mi Amor, You slept all yesterday and it's 12 now," He says. "Oh," I say. "Hey, no one's blaming you after what happened," Camilo says his voice trailing off as he realizes what he said "I probably shouldn't have said that huh," He says. 

Despite all that's happened I manage a small smile. I turn my head towards the door when I hear it open. "Oh, you're awake!" Julieta says as she walks in a man and woman walking in after her. "Camilo go get her some food from the kitchen Ok?" She says. 

Camilo nods taking my hand -which I didn't even realize he was holding- and gave it a quick kiss before setting his book down and walking out of the room. "Y/N this is Mateo and Julia," She says sitting down on the bed next to mine and pointing to the couple standing next to the bed. 

"They have been wanting to start a family for a while but have been unsuccessful, " Julieta says. "So when I realized that you no longer had someone to take care of you and your siblings they were the first ones to come to mind," She says. 

It dawns on me what she is talking about. "Of course, you can always say no but We would love to have such wonderful children come and live with us," Julia says Mateo nodding next to her. "I would love to come and live with you, I'm sure my younger siblings would agree," I say. The Couple's faces break into smiles. "we don't expect you to treat us like your parents right away" Mateo says "Or at all" He quickly adds. 

"We just want to help," Julia says. I Smile slightly and nod. "Ok well I'm glad we've figured this out," Julieta says. Camilo walks in holding a plate of food. "Thank you," I say quietly as he hands me the plate of food. Camilo nods. "Ok well I'll let you eat once your ready you can come with us to your house and get your belongings," Julia says.

 I nod slightly anxious to go back there so soon after such a tragedy. The three adults walk out of the room, leaving just me and Camilo. "So," He says "So," I say. "Are we gonna talk about before you left?" He says. "Camilo can we not, I just lost my mom," I say. 

Camilo nods. "Right yea makes perfect sense" I smile " I promise I'm not trying to avoid what happened but just a lot's happened recently it's a lot to process," I say putting a hand over his. He looks up at me smiling "Well you need to hurry up and get ready" He says. "I let you be" He leans in giving me a kiss on the cheek "nos Vamos pronto Mi Amor" (See you soon) He says walking out of the room. 

I finish eating quickly before looking over to the nightside in between two of the beds in the room. On is a plain-looking Yellow skirt and a Traditional white blouse and a brush. I put the skirt and shirt on and brush my hair out quickly before tying it in a braid. I walk out of the room. Mateo and Julia are waiting in the kitchen talking to Daniel, Casta, Azul, and Hugo.

 "Hey Mija ready to go?" Julia askes. I nod and start walking out the door. The two adults followed after me. I hop in the back of the wagon Mateo and Julia sitting upfront. We start to leave but Hugo yells out. "Wait! I want to come with you" He says.
