3 Chefs in the Kitchen

Todoroki looks over and says "Wow, you guys are neat."

Kirishima: "Mhm, worked in that restaurant near the Chinese place."

Todoroki: "Oh, yeah, they're really good."

Kirishima chuckles slightly and nods, then bakugou says "I think I've been there before actually, they are good."

They smile and then pick up a plate each, going out to the others, still talking in the kitchen and put them down.

Kiri's mother: "Ooh... katsu curry, that's good. Trust me. Alright, well, I'm gonna go see if the others are still alive-"

Shigaraki: "Where's your wife?"

Kirishima looks away at this and goes out of the room, taking bakugou with her and todoroki watches them leave and sighs "....don't... ask things like that when she's here.."

Kiri's mother smiles slightly and todoroki leaves after them, closing the door behind himself.

Kiri's mother: "She... has stomach cancer.. she's in the hospital.."

Shigaraki's eyes widen slightly, then he thinks for a moment "...why... such a bad reaction then..? I mean, I would get it if she'd just been brought in, but... I'm not sure if i do right now.."

Kiri's mother sighs and sees the red book on the kitchen counter, then picks it up "Emiri... she was born with a brain tumour.... said she'd be lucky to survive until age 5.... but.. she's 26.. and still very much alive now.. said she'd never walk, talk, eat or drink.... nothing.. not without help.. and they were right until she was 13... when she had finally managed to walk on her own, having accomplished everything else before that age... eating and drinking being when she was 11... everything else before the age of about 8 or 9... and finished speech therapy at age 12.. so.... it's a touchy subject.."

Hawks: "...it was that bad..?"

Kiri's mother sighs and nods "...I don't think that's really... what makes the disease so bad... because it hurts.. sure... but the treatment..... it makes you feel like it won't work because it makes you feel worse... that's the cruelest thing about it.."

Dabi looks at the door and then back at the women, then says "If I can survive being burned alive, she can survive that.... we would have the same odds... I really should be dead. But I'm not."

Kiri's mother nods "Yes.... emiri really should be... first she had the cancer, but then she was almost beaten to death, you know, they thought she was dead. Was in the morgue for a while actually. But she was only in a coma.... said the heartbeat was soo faint they couldn't pick it up at first.."

Hawks' eyes widen slightly and he asks ".....what in the world did I miss..?"

Kirishima: "A lot.... because then we were all taken, every single person in that room plus a few more. Endeavour was never taken..... maybe they couldn't get to him or maybe something else, but, either way he wasn't taken. The rest of us were, however, we weren't even nearly as badly beaten as mira and emiri were.... mira went missing a few years ago, they found her body with emiri's, in a ditch along the side of a road.... they both managed to survive, but countless others that were also found along the sides of the roads were not... but they kept them only just alive for a reason.. because they wanted to get us all in one place...."

Hawks: "...well shit....."

Dabi thinks for a second "...todorokis... kirishimas... was the other family the bakugous?"

Kiri's mother nods.

Dabi and shigaraki look at eachother, then at her "..so they want the crystal... but you can't let them have that."
