Standing up slowly, she follows natsuo out of the room, having changed into pyjamas the night before, so it's cool.

As she walks out, the people outside look up and kiri's mother stands in the doorway, watching as they walk away. Then the others turn to her and todoroki asks "Where are they going?"

Kiri's mother: "Well.... uh.. come in."

Asami tilts her head slightly "What's that look for?"

Then one of the nurses walk in and pick up the inhalers and medicine left on the counter, signing it off on the sheet and then leaving the room again. This confuses them even more, but all they do is look questioningly at the nurse, not saying a word.

Kiri's mother sits down and then her uncle and mum come into the room, her aunt following a little after.

Kiri's mum: "Hmm? Where's emiri?"

Kiri's mother: "Uh.... operating theatre I think.."

She sighs slightly and then kiri's mum tilts her head "Why?"

Mira: "Operating theatre-"

Midoriya: "Wait... didn't she just get the results to the scan? Did they find something? Is that why they took the inhalers, they were wrong about it being a cold?"

Kiri's mother only nods slightly to this then says "So.... they're putting a trachea in.. said the inhaler won't work because it's actually a mass blocking her airway... so it won't open up with that...."

Kiri's mum: "A... mass...? What.. kind of mass...?"

Kiri's uncle looks at the door and sighs, closing his eyes "....it's back... isn't it?"

Kiri's mum: "Maybe not, I mean it could just be-"

Kiri's mother: "..yep..... it's back..."

Kiri's uncle only nods and then todoroki and midoriya look at eachother, pure fear in their expressions.

Midoriya: "..."

Then asami suddenly says "...but...... the odds of surviving throat cancer... especially after having a brain tumour in the past.... are slim to none.."

Natsuo walks back into the room, closing the door behind himself and he asks "How'd she know that?"

They all look over and kiri's mother says "I don't know.... maybe her quirk?"

Natsuo: "Oh, what is that?"

Kiri's mother: "She.. can see into the future.. more of a curse then a quirk....."

Asami tilts her head "Maybe..."

Bakugou looks at asami and then the crib, then he asks "How far into the future?"

Asami: "Currently only a few weeks.."

Todoroki: "...."

Mitsuki: "...so.. she's just had a kid and now... she's found out she had cancer all along..?"

Natsuo nods "The kid is fine, we checked for that as an extra precaution due to kirishima's own complications at birth.. she had some extra tests and nothing was found apart from a small case of asthma, but that might even itself out."

Todoroki: "...how come throat cancer? That's usually smokers and she's never even touched anything like that..."

Natsuo nods "I know.... but, that's not the only thing that can cause it... it can just simply be bad luck sometimes.. or a regrowth... but as far as we saw in the scan, a whole body scan, there's no other masses or anything like that, nothing else to worry about, which is good.."

Mira: "Maybe.... but what.. exactly is her chance of survival? Slim to none, what's that as a percentage..?"

Natsuo: "..um.... 3% I'm afraid..."

Asami: "....mum... she's..... she's going to die.."

Kiri's mother stands up quickly and takes asami's hand, leading her out of the room. Supposedly to calm her down, which she does.

Bakugou simply watches as they leave and he sits down on the edge of the bed and thinks for a moment.

Mira: "Ok.... now he's freaking me out.."

Todoroki looks at him and gets an idea "She said asami's quirk can only show up to a few weeks in the future... that means you can still have up to a few weeks. Right?"

Bakugou: "Yes and no.."

Todoroki tilts his head "Yes and no?"

"I'm sorry for your loss..."

"No.... there must be a mistake, she can't have died! No!"

Cancer doesn't just impact the ones with the diagnosis, but the ones around them too..... it's a cruel world.
