CHAPTER 37

Spook 37 - Summer Festival P.1

"Something is not right." Hanako said.

(Y/n), Yashiro, and Kou were cleaning the bathroom. (Y/n) was doing what she always did, cleaning the windows. Yashiro was sweeping, and Kou was cleaning the mirrors.

"Huh?"

"What do you mean?" Yashiro said.

"I think your delusional Hanako-kun." (Y/n) smiled.

Hanako held up the Summer Season Festival poster. "THIS! LOOK AT THIS!! RIGHT HERE!!"  (Y/n) visibly tensed slightly, she had asked Kou to go with her to the festival in an act to cheer him up from the Hell of Mirrors incident. Hanako hugged (Y/n) and covered her mouth. "You two are going? Just the two of you? You're gonna wear yukata and stuff aren't you, YOU'RE GONNA HOLD HANDS IN THE CROWD!!"

"No, not exactly.." Kou sweatdropped. Nene was watching the drama unfold with amusement.

Hanako waved Kou off and got off of (Y/n). "So dirty minded! Pervert!" Hanako dramatically laid on the floor. "But I'm an earth-bound spirit, I can't go to festivals outside." He whined as he grabbed Kou's ankles.

"What do you want us to do about it?it."

Yashiro went behind Hanako-kun and picked him up, his hat going lopsided in his head.  "Hey Hanako-kun!" (Y/n) went over to him and Yashiro.

"You know I invited Kou-kun to the festival to cheer him up!" (Y/n) whispered to him. She fixed his hat and looked at him. "And you know festivals only happen outside of school. I'll bring you something, like a souvenir." (Y/n) said.

Hanako looked down at the bathroom floor, an idea popped into his head. "That's it!"

"What's it?" (Y/n) questioned.

"We'll go to a festival here!" Hanako smiled. Everyone in the room had a confused look on their face. "On the night of July 7th, let's meet at Misaki's stairs!"

It was night at the school. Hanako, Yashiro, Kou, and (Y/n) were at the Misaki stairs. The three students were dressed in casual clothing.

"Well, us girls have some things to prepare." Yako said, (Y/n) and Yashiro were behind the fox. "You go ahead of us and wait." Yako ushered the two males to enter the portal before them.

Hanako and Kou entered the portal, and a festival was going on. Supernaturals of all kinds were down on the festival grounds. Bright lights, lanterns, booths, stalls, were scattered all around.

"Wow, amazing.." Kou was stunned. "But I thought there were only domains for each of the seven school mysteries."

"There's a lot of area that doesn't have an owner, it's a bit disorganized though.

"So this is that area's festival.." Kou said.

"It's the tanabata star festival. Oh, kid hold on a second." Hanako held up something. "Ta-da! Heaven's crown!"

"Isn't that.."

"Yup! A crown worn by dead people. Since all the participants and organizers are spirits. If they find out there are humans here. It might cause problems. That's why you're gonna pretend to be a spirit." Hanako told him as he tied the crown around Kou's head.

"Ah, okay.."

"When (Y/n) and Yashiro get here, tellhere tell them to put one on too."

"She's taking a while though.."
