"Remember, class, to research your topic first, then start to write your first draft. Do not procrastinate." Mr. Cello said as he surveyed the classroom. He turns around and walks towards his desk to sit down.
I retrieved my biology textbook and began to read it in preparation for the final exam.
My biology book was gently lowered from my hands as I zoned out on the history of sea turtles.
I looked up to see Quentin seated on his desk with his feet on the chair.
"Finals don't begin until December, Kiara." Quentin said smirking.
"Well, at least I won't work at McDonald's the rest of my life." I say jokingly, taking a jab at him because he used to work there.
He grins in response, "That's when a tutor comes in handy." He says with a wink.
"What? On how to make a burger?" I ask.
"Oh come on, give me some credit here. I didn't expect a pretty girl to show up." He says.
I tilt my head slightly to the side raising my eyebrows in amusement at this.
"You're surrounded by them 24/7." I joke.
"Not even close." Quentin says smiling as he stares at me with those damn green eyes.
"Is that so, Romeo?" I challenge as I put my Biology book away.
"Damn Juliet, I thought you were the go-getter in this relationship." Quentin says as he turns around and grabs his backpack.
As he begins to leave the room, he glances back at me, saying, "I thought Romeo was chill. And I thought Juliet was like the other girls." He says as he stops at the door, facing me. "But no, Juliet was different."
I smirked as I stared at him. "Is that how you get girls? Poetry shit?" I ask.
In his attempt to appear hurt, Quentin furrows his eyebrows. "I'm not the one obsessing over academics."
As I stare at Quentin, I mentally laugh to myself. Another Kook. Don't let his seemingly honest persona fool you.
"There goes High School being his kingdom. Get your red carpet ready ladies." I joke mockingly in response.
His eyes lock on mine as he tilts his head back and laughs.
"Red carpet, huh? Keep in mind that you usually take a date with you on the carpet." he smirks.
'Damn. Once a Kook, always a Kook. Keep it in your pants, Q." I say getting ready to leave.
Quentin gently stops me as I'm about to enter the hallway.
"Juliet gave Romeo a chance."
I look at Quentin with confusion in my eyes.
As if reading my thoughts, he says, "Why not a second chance? You've already tried it once."

"No, however a Sphere's surface area is SA=4 pi R squared." Pope claims as we're both in the student lounge talking about Geometry in preparation for the test on Friday.
JJ enters with a bagel in his mouth and one strap of his bag on his shoulders. His blonde hair messy, and in his eyes.
"Where were you during your first period?" Pope inquires, raising an eyebrow.
JJ sits on the couch's headboard, leaning in and resting his arms on either side of his knees.
JJ responds to Pope with a duh tone, "Shit-faced from the ball."
