Chapter 15-Normal

Rhiannon's POV

I got back to the hotel after the show and tried to keep my mind off of Josh being out on a date with someone who wasn't me. This was new to me, I had been in open relationships before and never felt jealous of my partner. That alone told me that Josh was more to me than anyone I had ever met. I had brought this upon myself and I was kicking myself for it. I kept manifesting his date going awful, so I could tell him that I had changed my mind and only wanted him now. So when my phone went off I was cautiously optimistic that is was Josh, asking to come over because his date went bad and he wanted to see me.

unknown number-hey, are you coming out tonight?

-who is this?

Unknown number- It's Penny

-Oh! sorry, I swore I saved your number. I actually am turning in early tonight because I'm not feeling well.

Unknown number- ok, let me know if you change your mind.

It wasn't a lie. I had started my period and mine were always rough due to some medical issues. I wanted to take a shower and just go to sleep. I took a shower and got in my comfiest clothes to lay in bed. I tried to sleep for a while, but my cramps had started to get worse and worse. I needed meds that I didn't have and knew there was no way I was making it to the store seeing as I was basically doubled over in pain at this point. I looked over at the clock to see that it was 10:30. I tried calling Penny and she didn't answer. I thought for a moment about who I could try next, I was desperate at this point. I cautiously dialed Jake's number.

"Hello?" I could hear the confusion in his voice.

"Hey, I hate to bother you, remember how you said you owed me for making Sloan's dress... well I need a favor." I said

"Ok, whats up?"

"Well, I'm not feeling great and I need some medicine and maybe a hot pack, you mind if I text you the details and you can bring the stuff to my room? I'd be so grateful, I tried calling Penny and she didn't answer, and I know Josh is on his date." I had started to tear up at this point from pain and also frustration with my emotions of Josh being out and Penny not answering. Jake hesitated for a moment before speaking again.

"Alright, I can do that. Just text me the details."

"Thank you so much Jake,"

I hung up and texted him a list of things to get me at the store. After an hour or so I heard a knock at the door. I slowly made my way over, I expected to just crack open the door and retrieve the bag of supplies from Jake. I saw myself in the mirror as I walked over and thanked god I didn't care if Jake saw me like this. I had mascara smeared on my face from crying, part from pain and part just from my emotions being a little wild. My hair was in a half-hazard bun and partly sticking to my face from sweating, and I just all around looked awful cause I felt awful. I opened the door, saw Josh standing there and immediately shut it. I heard him giggle,

"Rhiannon would you just let me in?" He said quietly

"What are you doing here, I asked Jake. I look horrible" I said through the door

"Baby, open the door, I don't care if you think you look bad. I brought the stuff you needed." I smiled softly that he had been the one to show up, I slowly opened the door. I stood slightly hunched over, forcing a smile as he walked in. "Jesus, are you ok, do we need to go to the hospital or something?" he said shocked as he saw my state,

"no, this is normal." I said as I started to move slowly back to the bed, before I knew it Josh had scooped me up and was carrying me. "Josh really I am ok." I said as he placed me on the bed, he tucked me under the covers,
