Chapter 26-Ours

Josh's POV

I got out of the uber and walked around the other side to open the door for Rhiannon. We stepped out onto the sidewalk and looked up at the tall apartment building.

"What floor are we potentially living on?" Rhiannon asked as she turned her attention to me,

"7th floor I think," I said as I looked at the listing on my phone

"I hope there is an elevator" she laughed

"There is, I made sure." I answered.

"Mr. Kiszka?" We heard and turned to see a man walking towards us from the apartment buildings lobby.

"That's me," I said as I stook out my hand to shake his.

"Perfect, lets go take a look at the apartment." He said as he held the door open for us to walk in. We got in the elevator and went to the correct floor. I was trying hard to contain my excitement as the doors opened. Rhiannon gave my hand a squeeze paired with a knowing look, she knew I was trying hard to be still. We stepped out of the elevator and walked towards the apartment door, the manager unlocked it and I quickly entered. The front door opened into a living space, across the room there was a kitchen island and a decent sized kitchen. It was an open floor plan which I liked.

"This place looks huge.." Rhiannon said quietly,

"3 bedroom, 2 bath." The manager said. She turned and looked at me surprised,

"Josh, are we going to be able to afford this?" She asked quietly, "Do we really need 3 bedrooms?"

"One for you, one for me, and one for the little one." I said giving her a smile, "And don't worry about the money."

"Josh I'm not letting you pay for this place by yourself." She said sternly,

"Alright, we can discuss that later babe. Lets just look at the rest of the apartment, shall we?" I said grabbing her hand and walking down the hall. The first bedroom on the right was the master, "This would be your room." I said

"What no, you should get the master." She said as she once again looked at me surprised,

"No, you are getting it because that way you have your own bathroom and have space for all your girly stuff" I said, making her laugh. We walked in the bathroom to see a big walk in shower and tub, The vanity had 2 sinks and lots of counter space.

"Fine." She said as she playfully rolled her eyes, "Theres no point in arguing with you at this point"

"Thats correct." I said as I pecked a quick kiss on her cheek. across the hall from her room was the room I would choose. It was almost as big as the master but it didn't have its own bathroom, which was fine. Next to my door was the second bathroom which was pretty simple with a tub, vanity and toilet. The door across from that was the 3rd bedroom, it was smaller than the first two but still sizeable. Rhiannon walked in and looked around,

"This would be the babies room?" She asked softly, as she looked out of the window that overlooked a small park,

"Mhm," I said as I walked up behind her, wrapping my arms around her, resting my chin on her shoulder. She reached up and gently scratched my scalp as she leaned her head against mine. I could vaguely see her smile through the reflection in the window. "So what do you think?" I whispered, my mouth then resting on her neck as I waited for her answer.

"I love it." She said,

"Do you really?" I asked excitedly as I pulled away and turned her to face me, She nodded with a big smile on her face,
