Friendship.!!

What’s beautiful?
Friendship or Relationship? A young boy asked,

Man sitting with a fond smile and a dreamy look replied,

"Friendship, as that’s filled with all the love and loyalty of world."

Then isn’t relationship beautiful?

Boy got all curious again,

Man softly chuckled and said,

"Yes it is indeed beautiful, but the fun, the emotional connect, the selfless love we receive, the space we get, the pride we would have for having our best friend with us today, beats every single existence."

Young boy wasn’t loosing interest but was getting impatient,
he aske, "Care to explain, this seems beyond reality, this seems beyond reality"

Man smiled and started
"There was a girl named Chand, just like her name she’s like a moon, she had her flaws, she was weird, she was crazy, she was mad, but she’s got a beautiful heart. We parted ways because of situations, but even today I miss her love, care and possessiveness."

Man had tears while saying this

Young boy piped in, “didn’t you meet her again?”

Man replied with a soft smile
“Yes I did meet her again”

Man closed his eyes and started narrating,

Flashback:

I am here again, standing at the same point meeting her at the same spot after 5 long years, and she didn’t change even a bit.

“Ladakii badii anjaanii hai
Sapana hai, sach hai kahaanii hai
Dekho ye pagalii bilkul na badalii
Ye to vahii diwaanii hai”

I can’t believe I saw her again, and smiled at her painfully only to mirror the same feeling.

No we didn’t fight, no we didn’t let others create distance, and a big no we didn’t love each other Beyond friendship, but what brought us here was “FRIENDSHIP”. The root cause of our existence was also the root cause of something that’s going to begin,

She glanced me, gave a smile filled with tears and hugged me tight,
Yes she didn’t change, but

Paas rahake bhii thii duurii
Jaane kaisii thii majabuurii
Vaqt vo bhii ajiib tha
Jab tuu mere qariib tha
Kho gayii tuu ye kis jahaa'n me'n
Mai yahaa'n huu'n dekh to zara

We both could feel how time was, how we realised each other’s value, how it showed us how we were when we were together, distance brought us in a way that we couldn’t stay away even if we wanted.

Out of flashback

Young boy looked the man with shock,
“Is she your girlfriend?”

Man laughed, “every boy and girl need not be lovers, young man”

Young boy asked, “then why were you affected, when you were away?”

Man replied,

“ Yes she was may friend,
Yes she’s a girl, but no she’s not my girlfriend.
She was someone who I have respected with all my heart, she grew up with me, she fought with me, she cared for me, she loved me, she cried for me and because of me, but she was my friend, a best friend, but what we shared was an innocent relationship which is beyond reality, beyond any relationship and commitment. I am affected because she holds the strings of my heart just like my mother, my wife and my daughter holds. She’s someone who can affect me even when she’s not there with me, even when I can’t chase her, and even when I can the world for her"

Young man asked, don’t you think such feelings for friends are wrong?

Man smiled,

“Kuch kuch hotha hain young man,,”
There’s such feeling in friendship, things happen in a different way, and we see it in another way, its not always love, its the eyes that see the difference, its the heart that senses the friendship and ears that can hear the feeling.

For love, only love is enough.

But for friendship, its always about more than love.

Friends can be lovers, but lovers can never be friends.

Young man asked, “where’s your friend, the way you are getting affected and describing friendship it would be a lie if I say I don’t want to see her dad?

Man replied, “she’s right up there son, where she belonged to. The brightest star who brightens everyone’s life”.

While the brightest star in the sky was twinkling even brightly,

“Friendship is always about understanding, love and support..don’t mistake it in a wrong way, cherish and value your friends when they are right with you, because its all their memories later.”
