Princess's POV
I pour a cup of tea for the adorable young boy sitting across from me when I hear the phone ring. I roll my eyes and pick it up angrily. "I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A TEA PARTY WITH YOUR SON, BITCH, WHAT THE HELL YOU WANT, HUH?!""Can you do me a huugee favor and babysit Eclair for a while?" Madeleine sighed through the phone, "Espresso passed out... I don't know what's wrong with him, but I'm going to take him to Pure Vanilla."
I widen my eyes, "Oh... o-of course!" I frown adjusting my position, "Is he ok?" I ask.
Madeleine didn't reply for a few seconds, then he sighed again. "I'm not sure. He was screaming about oh what if you weren't here and like, oh what if I actually lost you," he explained, "Then he got really scared and stood up walking toward the stairs, but he immediately fell so... we-we're on our way to Pure Vanilla's right now."
"That's horrible," I look over at Eclair who stared at his tea like he was looking into a wishing well. "I'll be here with your son until you get back, don't worry about a thing, bro."
Madeleine chuckled, "Thank you... sis." he whispered.
I widen my eyes. My body filled with joy. As the phone hung up, I squealed excitingly! I grab Eclair by the shoulders and hug him tightly.
...
Madeleine's POV
I sat outside with my arms crossed. My foot tapped quickly and impatiently. Finally, after what felt like decades, Pure Vanilla peeked his head out, "You may come in, now, Madeleine." he nodded, "Espresso's worried about you."I stand and run inside quickly. Espresso hated Pure Vanilla's office. It reminded him of such bad things, so I wasn't too surprised to see him sitting on the bed shakig. "Starlight!" I ran over to him and hugged him tightly. He was shirtless, and he looked so starved I could almost see his ribs.
"Espresso has had so much stress weighted on him lately from what I can see," Pure Vanilla frowned. "I've unfortunately had to diagnose him with anxiety, PTSD, depression and insomnia" Pure Vanilla handed me two bottles of pills and stepped away, "He has to take two pills from each bottle. This one should help a little bit with his insomnia, and it can only be used at night. This one is for his PTSD and is only used incase of a panic attack that had happened in the past."
"Ok," I nod, "Thank you, PV."
Pure Vanilla smiled, "Of course. No need to thank me. I'm going to leave you two be. Feel free to head back home whenever you'd like." I watch Pure Vanilla wave to us and leave the room.
Espresso laid his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes. "I hate you." he muttered.
I giggled petting his head. "Since when? Last I checked we were married with a son and our own house." I tease.
Espresso smiled and sat up straight, "I would like to go back home." he whispered.
I nod helping him get his shirt back on and carried him on my back. He was still incredibly shaking, and I didn't even know if it was because he was cold or something else.
...
After we picked up Eclair from the tea party him and Prin were having, we went home so that Espresso could rest. I let him sleep on my lap since he didn't want me to leave the room.
Princess came to the house shortly after because she missed Eclair so much. Luckily, she kept him company while I stayed with Espresso.
I played with his hair as he rested on my lap. His hair was so soft and messy. I smiled twirling it around and staring at it inbetween my fingers as I combed it. "Your hair is so soft~" I whisper.
Espresso chuckled, "Thanks." He stopped for a moment looking up at me. "Your hair is way morepretty, though. It's so long and perfect... how do you keep it so nice?"
"Not sure?" I giggled, "Blessing of the divine, I would assume?"
"Ugh." Espresso rolled his eyes. "There you go again with your devine light magic nonsense." he sighed. He closed his eyes again. "Why did I decide to marry you..." he muttered.
I scoff, "Your heart couldn't resist this~" I whisper in his ear. I hold his hand as I gently kiss his neck with a smile.
Espresso smiled, too. He hops off of my lap to stretch a minute. I stand with him. That's when I get an idea. "Hey," I smile. I walk up to him and hold him close to me. I take his hand and get on one knee.
I felt like I was proposing, again. Except, this time Espresso wasn't crying the cutest happy tears I've seen on anyone. I close my eyes kissing the ring on his finger and smiled, "May I take this dance?"
Espresso giggles. His giggles were so cute and the made me smile so wide. "Ahh. I dont see why not, I suppose..." he smiled.
I stand with his hand and begin to hum the music we listened to on our first dance. He hummed with me.
We stayed back and forth to the soft humming coming from both of us. I smile staring into his eyes, "I love you, so much~" I whisper.
He steps on my toes falling into my arms. His hums turn into giggles as I help him stand back up on his feet, "I love you too!" he smiled back, "I remember before I first danced with you, I had a list of things not to do." he continued to giggle as I spun him around back into my arms, "Two of them were not to fall in love, and not to step on your toes!"
I dip him and keep him close to me, "I guess you failed both of those then, huh?" We close our eyes as we kiss deeply.
When we were finished, we stood up and hugged each other. His body was so warm and calm. He wasn't shaking anymore, and he was so so soft, too.
