Ch. 8

Y/n's P.O.V.

"Burn down all wild-life... Now why would he want to do that?" I question as close the leather book once more, tossing it to Wilbur who was seated across from me. He sighed and shook his head. We had grown closer as Techno decided to venture on his own most of the days, telling me I shouldn't pay any mind to it. Wilbur wasn't as violent as he seemed to be, he just had... His days. Today wasn't one of those days though, tomorrow may be though.

"I'm just as stumped as you are my dear. None of it makes sense, how would this benefit Manburg?" I groan and stand up, stretching my legs as I walked over to the stairs to walk out, only for Wilbur to place a hand on my shoulder. I looked over to him as he handed me another book. "Dream wrote this, he says that he supports us and our plans." He says, leading me to take the book and read it.

I felt Wilbur lean over and read along with me, his breath hitting the back of my neck, causing me to shiver a little at the odd contact. I nod after I finished reading and handed him the book. He grabs it, touching my hand and letting it linger there for a moment. I stared at him before turning and pulling away. He placed a hand on my shoulder, making me look at him once more.

"Hey." He whispered, causing me to look at him and give him the wanted attention. "Sorry about these past few days, I've been paranoid." He said slowly, exploring my eyes as he said everything. I slowly nod, looking away from him as he dug into his pocket for something. "In fact, I have something to ask of you... If it's alright." I ponder for a moment before nodding and looking back at Wilbur.

"All ears." He smiled at me and placed his rough hand on my cheek before drawing back, taking a few steps backwards. He ran a hand through his hair before sighing and smiling at me.

"Y/n, I wanted to take this small moment to ask you if you wanted to be my-!"

"SAPNAP KILLED HENRY!" And there he is, the man the myth the legend.

Tommy came running down the stairs, jumping half way down before running into my arms. I stood still for a moment before gripping Tommy tightly back. He was... crying. I haven't seen him cry in a while.

"Wait did you say Sapnap killed Henry?" He nodded. "As in the cow we took care of?" He nodded. I stood still before grabbing Tommy's arm and dragged him up the stairs. Wilbur scurried to his senses and grabbed the hem of my pants.

"W-Wait what about my-?" He didn't finish his sentence. I look at him with confusion before shaking him off my leg.

"It's not important right now. I need to go with Tommy, you can say it later." I turned and looked at Tommy who was extending a hand to me. I smiled at him and reached for it, only for Wilbur to pull me back down to him.

"W-Where are you going?" He chuckled out as he grabbed my face, pushing hairs out of it. I furrowed my brows and pushed the stinky man away, patting myself down before huffing at him.

"I'm going with Tommy to go beat some ass?" I questioned Wilbur. He laughed and gave me and Tommy his crazed look. Oh god, that Wilbur is back...

"With HIM? What about ME? Have you ever though of that? Have you ever thought about how I felt? C'mon now Y/n, we have known each other longer and I was here first right? Why are you leaving me now?" He threw out all these questions left and right. I shook my head and opened my mouth and stuttered out words, only for Tommy to step down next to me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"You're scaring her Wilbur. Half the time you're just yelling at her and trying to force her into things she doesn't want to do. She wants some space from you. She doesn't need to be with someone like YOU." Wilbur flinched at the last sentence, almost like he had said the same thing to Tommy once. But when? While I thought, I felt a hand grasp mine. "C'mon, we need to go. Dream is waiting for us." I nodded and smiled at Tommy. He smiled back at me before dragging me up the stone steps, leaving Wilbur in the dust.
