"Alright fine" I had said to which the others had cheered. "You seem to act like you all are children who just met within a day" I heard Isabela say making me groan. She reminds me of Maria a little too much.
"Yeah, well you're not invited" Mirabel spoke out. "I will gladly dismiss this sleepover" Isabela rolled her eyes. "Come on Mira, why not let your sister join?" I heard señora Julieta's voice ring from behind Isabela.
"But she said she doesn't want to-" "Nonsense, this is a one time thing so at least you'll have a family bonding as well" She insisted as Isabela placed on a perfect fake smile I have seen in my life.
As soon as Julieta left Isabela went back to her mean demeanor. "I'm just doing this because mamá insisted" She then left as Dolores made a sound.
We then saw Luisa appear in a corner. "Hey Luisa!" Mirabel called as Luisa turned to us. "Hey, what's up" She said, her hands on her waist.
"We're doing a sleepover, do you want to join?" I explsined as Luisa wondered for a while. "If you want.." "Well we do" Mirabel hugged her older sister.
"Well that's all of us" Camilo commented, looking smug as I shook my head. "Are you crazy? We're not letting Antonio join?" I said to which they looked at me.
"It's his gift ceremony in a week, he's to rest" Camilo said as I nodded. "So where is he sleeping?" I asked which halted Camilo.
"It's for the nerves Camilo, let him live for a while before the big day comes" I said as we saw Antonio appear from the kitchen.
And then, the owl settled itself on my shoulder. "Awe you cute thing" I smiled as I scratched under its beak. "Hey Antonio" I heard Dolores say as she crouched down.
"Do you want to join a sleep over?" She asked as Antonio's face lit up with excitement. "Can I come?!" He cheered over and over again which I laughed at.
"How about let's ask mom?" Dolores carried Antonio as he was nodding his head very frantically. Isabela made a little orchid and knowingly placed it on Antonio's hair without him knowing.
I could see in Mirabel's eyes the despair she had and maybe a little jealousy she has of Antonio. Yeah Maria is like that but she acknowledges me and cheers me up when I'm in a bad mood.
But what's sad is that Isabela didn't even think twice and just talk bad to Mirabel, even with a guest around. "Hey, Mira?" I went closer to her as she turned her head around to fix her face.
"It's alright" I reassured her as I faced her. "Look at me" I sced her face my way so I can look at her.
Her face isn't really stained with tears but I could tell she was tearing up because well, her eyes had little tears.
"Look, it's not your fault okay? Just don't mind her, she's the one who did the bad not you" I wiped her tears away as I saw her smile.
"Thank you" She said. "You're strong I tell you, very strong" I tucked some hair behind her ears. "Now go, I'll follow behind" She then hugged me, me hugging back of course before she went ahesd to go where the others are.
"You don't know how much she needed that" I heard Camilo's voice ring beside me. "I never knew they fight I thought they had the perfect sisterly bond" I said, looking at Camilo.
"Yeah well sometimes hermosa/o, things aren't what they always seem to be" He concluded as I sighed. I should have known.
"Seems like Isabela liked you though" Camilo said pointing to my head were my hair lies. I touched my head to feel a flower.
