Camilo's POV
"Ooh, how about story telling?" I had suggested. "Not a bad idea" (O/n) had spoken. "Not scary ones please, I don't want nightmares" We heard Antonio say.
"Don't worry darling we won't tell any scary stories" I heard (O/n) reassure my brother as their gentle hands rested on my brother's head. Somehow.. I wanted to be Antonio for once. Who am I kidding, what the hell am I thinking about. I am constantly losing myself and it's all because of (O/n).
"Who has a good story?" (O/n) said as I was brought back to reality. 'Even them themsleves brings me back to reality' I thought as I unconsciously smiled.
"Camilo..? Do you have something to say?" I had heard (O/n)'s kind voice echoed, bringing me back from my thoughts. "Oh no no, nothing, I don't have anything" I frantically said.
"Isabela you know mama and papá's love story and we don't. Care to share?" Mirabel had muttered as Isabela looked straight back at her. "Fine" She said not sternly but in a neutral way.
"It was when mamá was 16 that she had started offering her food to heal the hurt in town. It was around the same time papá met her aswell" Isabela started as we all surround her.
"Er, well papá said before mamá had offered her food to help the people, papá would get bee stings constantly and my Abuelo on papá's side would constantly treat the stings alone. So when Abuelo had heard of a new healer in town, papá whenever stung, was told to go to mamá in the center of the town, where her station was" Isabela had ended.
"Papá said looking at mamá for the first time he already felt a weird feeling in him. They exchanged names and so they became friends fast. Time to time when papá would get injured, he would bring mamá a boquet of flowers, my abuelo constantly teasing papá. There are also times where mamá would give small cards to papá telling him things like "I miss you" and "Be careful"" Isabela hsd concluded.
"Childhood sweet hearts" I said as Dolores shushed me.
"2 years have passed an now they are 18. So papá gave it a shot to confess to mamá. After eating the food offered to him, he gave a card to her and left immediately. Mamá said the card read "Tonight, at 7, by the old willow tree near your home.. I'll be waiting" Isabela had relayed the exact words.
"And so mamá got permission to go out and be back by 10, going behind casita to where the old willow tree was. The tree is admittedly quite far from casita, but when you arrive, you'd have to jump over a running water. Basically the old willow tree is its own island"
"So, is the island still standing?" Asked Mirabel. "I haven't asked mom about it so I do not know for sure" Isabela answered her younger sister's question without any bickering.
"Mamá saw a teal colored blanket laid out under the old tree eith a basket full of food was in it. Fully arriving, she saw papá was not there. But when she turned around she saw him handing out a single rose, his hair sticking out. He quickly fixed it though, earning him a laugh from mamá"
"After my dad hastily sat down after mom did, they both were talking about something until another thing had caught his eyes. He pointed at it, just in time for her to see it was a shooting star. Dad had sat down near mom and tried to grab her waist but she best her to it as she laid her head on his shoulders"
"Not long after dad has spoken to mom about his feelings to her. Soon enough she also said the truth reciprocating the feeling. 3 years later, their 21, dad got permission from Abuela 2 years later they got married. The end" Isabela ended as we were all in awe.
