Nico’s POV

I was making lunch again, a silent agreement had settled over Percy and me over the years. I made the food and he cleaned and did the dishes. Now when the kids had grown up a bit it was defiantly easier to cook and clean. Partly because they took over the chores too and partly because it was easier to make tasty meals when they could order you around.

So today I was cooking pancakes and yes you guessed it, they were blue and Annie was the one who ordered it. She was eight and a half and she wanted pancakes every day, to be more specific the pancakes had to be blue and we had to have syrup on them.

So here I stood in my apron that said baciami ti babbeo in bold and under it it said baciami stupido in italics. Annabeth sat on a chair behind me and told me to hurry up, well she said to hurry the fuck up and I think I should really stop swearing in the house. Percy usually laughed when the twins mimicked my swearwords but I thought it was so embarrassing. I was a bad influence on them.

“Hey can I have a cookie?” Sebastian asked, his hair was longer and he really needed a haircut.

“No, the food is soon ready.” I said.

“Exactly Sebastian, you will have to wait for food and then maybe after you can have a cookie. Your so greedy!” Annabeth said and crossed her arms over her chest.

   “Be nice to your brother.”

“Yeah, you suck Annie!” Sebastian pouted and went up to me. “Please may I have a cookie?”

“No,” I laughed. “Good try though.”

“I will go and ask dad!” Sebastian threatened.

“Hey if Sebastian is getting a cookie than so am I!” Annabeth screamed and jumped down from her chair.

“None of you is getting a cookie so sit down and shut up.” I said and flipped a pancake up into the air.

I loved cooking, I had experimented with some Italian food too, going back to my roots but I loved making simpler food too. What I didn’t love about cooking was that the kids were always beside me and bickered.

   “Dad?!” Sebastian screamed.

Percy entered the kitchen, he had glasses on top of his head and he bit his thumbnail. He had a blue hoodie on and a pair of old jeans that were a little too tight. He was lazy sexy and I wanted to hit him with a pan if he gave the twins cookies.

“What is it little man?” he asked and ruffled Sebastian’s hair like he always did.

   “Cookie?”

“Why did daddy say no?” Percy asked and kissed my cheek. “What does the apron say?”

“Kiss me you fool, or just kiss me stupid. Depends if your bold or italics.” I winked at him and placed a sweet kiss on his lips, a chorus of EWWW’SS erupted.

“I guess I’m bold then.” He winked and then laughed before saying, “So did you say no?”

“Well obviously the pancakes are soon done.”

“Then no cookies.” Percy stated and lifted Sebastian up and held him upside down which made Sebastian laugh.

   “After lunch?” Annie asked pleadingly.

“As desert.” Percy said and nodded; he carried Sebastian over to the kitchen table and sat him down on his chair.

And when Percy didn’t think I could see he slipped a blue chocolate chip cookie into Sebastian’s hand. Annabeth started to protest but he slipped one her way too and she smiled cheekily, I rolled my eyes, my family was cookie monsters.

“Cookie now?” Annabeth asked as she swallowed the last piece of pancake. They still acted like I hadn’t seen and I just went with it.

“You just finished eating.” I protested.

“So you said I could have a cookie as a desert.”

“Dad said that and a desert is served at least ten minutes after food, have you learned nothing princess.” I asked and took away the plates and placed them in the sink.

“Ten minutes! That’s unbelievable, you are such a tyrant daddy.” Annabeth pouted and walked away angrily.

“Can I have another- I mean can I have one?” Sebastian asked.

I stared at him like he was an idiot. “If your sister can’t have one than neither can you.”

“But dad gave me-“ Percy placed his hand over his son’s mouth.

“I will take care of the dishes, Sebastian if you help me you can get two cookies. Is that a deal?”

   “Yass!” Sebastian screamed happily.

“Good now fetch your sister, she can help us too.”

“Anything for cookies.” Sebastian ran out to get his sister.

“I saw you give them before lunch, are you making them fat?” I joked.

“Always, they will disappear unless they eat at least three cookies a day.”

“And the same applies to you?” I raised my eyebrow.

“Hell no, I just need to eat you.” He winked and kissed me hungrily.

   “You’re such a dork.”

   “But I’m your dork.”

“Stupido.” I laughed and finally kissed him back.
