Sebastian's POV
I was nervous.
It wasn't that kind of feeling nervous when you are bold and ask stupid questions, and it wasn't that kind of nervous when you sink away and hide in your bed. I was the kind of nervous were you want to throw up and then kick someone's butt.
"Are you guys ready?" Silena asked, my ballet teacher for these past eighteen years, she smiled proudly and when she caught my eyes she winked. "Don't disappoint Sebastian now, he has worked hard on this and the audience out there expects a marvelous show."
Way to go, now I'm not at all nervous anymore... not.
"You're going to be fine." Silena said and placed a warm hand on my shoulder. "Isn't Benji sitting out there waiting? And your dads?"
"Yes and yes. I... that what's making this even worse. I can battle an entire army and dance the whole Swan Song ballet but this... this is my own choreography. I'm going to fuck up."
"Now now, little Sebastian, have I ever lied to you?"
"Yes, remember when my dads went on a honeymoon and you told me that they would be home soon." I smiled. "I cried so hard that you had to call them home."
"Well I never said an exact time for them to come home and it was in the middle of the night, for Christ sake kid. Grow some balls."
"Never."
"Anyhow... I just wanted to say that you are going to kill them okay! You are a beautiful and graceful dancer and you are a genius out there. This is the best dance I have seen in the last five years."
"Thank you Lena." I kissed her cheek.
She nodded and went over to check on some tutus and make up and the lights. Somewhere out there, behind the curtain, my family was sitting and waiting.
"Thirty seconds!" a man screamed. "Places everyone!"
Everyone ran and took their places on the stage. It was a five minutes piece and I was sweating already.
"Twenty!"
I smiled and encouraged the girls and boys behind me. We clapped our hands and got everybody pumped up. This is going to be crazy.
"Ten!"
Then the countdown began; I promise my legs have never shaken this much! And then the time was up and we danced. It was easy to dance on stage and the light was perfect. The silence behind the music wasn't deafening and I was just happy.
Five minutes were over in a second, my heart was beating hard and then the lights went on in the arena.
The dancers ran to their family, Silena came out and held my hand and whispered that it was a job well done. Then Benji came up. His strong arms went around me, he whispered that he loved me and then kissed me. Right there on the stage. On the lips! He chuckled when he felt me tense up.
"Damn Seb, why haven't you allowed me to come and see you before? You are amazing!" Benjamin said.
"I wanted to... to make this dance to you. It's called Midnight Love. You know, because we had our first kiss on my porch."
"I remember." He kissed my cheek. "Like I could forget."
The following half hour contained of laughter's, smiles and small talks. Everybody thanked me for a good show and some of my friends joked around. Annie cursed me for dragging her here but underneath the hard surface she was a proud sister. Percy and Nico gave me roses and then talked to Silena about something, probably a party or trying to get her to join them on their trip to the Bahamas.
When the half hour has passed the arena was empty except for me and Benji. He held my hand and kissed my cheek.
"Dance for me again?"
"I'm supposed to lock up."
"Please?"
"Fine, but I don't have any music."
"I don't need music." He then sat down on the stage and waited. He knew I couldn't dance the same dance so instead I did something else.
Swirling and dancing I let my feelings out and when I paused for a few seconds I felt his arms around me once again.
"Marry me?" he whispered.
"Of course." I answered.
