Once in Laketown, and released from Legolas' grip, Rayna was steadfast in following the orcs. Hearing the screams of a young girl she knew where to go, and quickly.
As the orc entered the home, the dwarves and the children became stunned when a blade pierced through its middle. Another orc broke through the roof and without hesitation Rayna pulled her blade from the orc and began attacking the next one. Legolas and Tauriel entered the home behind her, helping destroy any orc not in Raynas path. Kili pushed himself up, sure he was going to see Rayna for a final time.
"Rayna!" Fili yelled for her, holding an orc at bay.
Rayna moved quickly to slice its throat, handing Fili her dagger.
"Sorry we left you." Fili tried apologizing, Rayna pushed him down, lunging forward at the orc attacking.
"I told Thorin to. It's alright." Rayna turned to him quickly.
From behind an orc raised it's sword to strike them. Kili, who had already been dragged from bed, pushed himself up, grabbing the closest thing he could. Once up he stabbed into the orcs chest from behind, the weight of the orc causing him to land on his leg, the pain causing it to give.
Rayna and Fili's attention was taken to Kili as he screamed in pain, falling to the ground after stabbing an orc. Rayna was so distracted she didn't see the orc coming at her until the last moment. She dodged out of the way, it's sword slicing her arm. Rayna moved quickly to cut the front of the orc, kicking it towards the elves who made short work of it.
Rushing to Kili's side Rayna could feel how hot he had become from the fever, and Fili was trying to hold him steady.
"Kili, Kili Rayna is here." Fili spoke, trying to settle his brother as he writhed in pain and fever.
"We're losing him!" Oin yelled to Fili. Rayna felt herself become overwhelmed with helplessness as she looked up to the elves.
"He has to live! Please!" she begged.
"Tauriel." Legolas grabbed her attention, "Help them, then follow me." Legolas looked to Rayna giving her a nod which she returned.
They hauled Kili onto the table as Tauriel blocked the door when heavy foot steps were heard. To the relief of all it was Bofur with kings foil.
"Rayna, help me." Fili was holding his brother. With a glance he could see the emotions written on her face. He could see her panic and her heartbreak, "Rayna. It will be alright." He tried to assure her. She quickly nodded to him before turning back to face Kili.
He was so lost in fever the colour in his eyes was draining. Kili looked everywhere, not recognizing a single thing around him. It stole Raynas breath to see the death in his eyes as he writhed around. Not looking at her but through her. Even though she wanted to recoil in her own grief and pain she willed herself closer only to whisper;
"It's okay. Kili, she will heal you." Her voice cracked with every syllable, but she trusted somewhere in there he could hear her.
He thrashed about as Tauriel started to heal him, as she continued on he became more calm and stared at her. When Tauriel finished, and Kili was asleep, Rayna felt a hand on her arm and looked to Fili.
"He'll be alright, Rayna. Come, let me bind your arm."
She nodded and silently followed him to another chair.
"I've heard tales of Elf magic. But that was a privilege to witness." Oin walked up to them to take over for Fili.
"I know you worry about him." Fili spoke to Rayna.
