At the cargo Dock, I leaned against a wooden pillar that emerged from the ground while sharpening my sword. J was bouncing about really energetically, annoying the life out of every one. As I saw her do this, I chuckled to myself, "Shes so cute."
Then I looked around again and I spotted someone starting to walk towards me. It was a woman and when she saw me, her eyes sad eyes widedened immensely.
Then, she stopped in frount of me and reached a hand to touch my face slowly. I dodged her hand and grabbed her skinny wrist. I noticed that they were covered in small scars.
"What are you doing!?'' I shouted," Don't touch me!" She looked at me with a sad face and tried again. But this time she wasn't going for my face. She was going for my hair. I wasnt fast enough to react as she ripped and small handful of hair out of my head and ran as quick as she could away.
I groaned in pain and rubbed my head as J came up to me and asked, "You OK baby girl?" Nodding, she pulled me in for a quick hug and then someone yelled it was time to get off.
○Timeskip●
"Finally!" I spoke as I saw that we were approached the Hex Gates. Aunt Sevika told me to go and guard the cargo downstairs with J. But she whispered into my ear to make sure I didn't do anything stupid as she knew Jinx could literally anywhere and you wouldn't even know.
Downstairs, I spotted J behind the barrels of Shimmer waiting to scare me. Totally aware of her presence, I acted like I didn't know she was there.
"Jinx!" I called out and pretended to look around for her. When I heard the slight creak of the floor boards behind me, I grabbed my gun and jabbed J in the stomach with the handle.
As she leaned over in pain, holding her stomach, I laughed my head off.
"That's what you get for trying to sneak up on the amazing Shimmer!" I laughed and J gave me a Joking glare. Then we heard it. Stomps and shouts from above.
"FIRELIGHTS!" I heard Aunt Sevika yell and then lots of fighting. We both looked at each other and grinned. We knew it was gonna get real now.
"You ready?"
"As I'll ever be!"
