I trudged through the dark, eerie forest. Leaves cracked and crunched under my foot. My eyes darted, looking if anyone followed me.
How did I leave? I overheard the boys say the password of security. Impolite I know.
My newly dyed hair glistened and swayed in the moonlight. I felt free, and unstoppable. Maybe enough to escape? My subconscious whispered daringly. I dismissed the thought with a shrug.  If I escaped they would surely find me, and do what? Plus what about Brutal? That would break his heart. I just got together with Brutal after he waited so long. Maybe that's the reason they kidnapped me.
Adding on to that, I didn't really want to go home. To be honest my mom didn't really act like a mom at all. She took care of what I needed, but I didn't feel any affection towards me. It was like she was using me for something. I shivered, sometimes when she smiled and looked at me, she’d whisper,
“Don’t worry you’ll be useful to mom soon.”
I’ll be home alone all day, cooped up in my room until she called for me. Here? I feel truly free and myself.
Exiting my thoughts I came to a clearing, where a cliff was.
This place was or is special to me. The cliff's surroundings grew a little from when I wasn't here. This was the place that Trevor and I would always go to. Trevor was my best friend. I wasn't popular way back in the beginning of high school. Trevor was bullied a lot, so much it drove him insane. So insane he that he ended it all. He committed suicide right in front of me...

Flash back~
I grinned ear to ear, running to the hideout.
"Trevor!" I squealed. Yes I squealed. I was that happy. "I've got t-" I skidded to a stop, mid-sentence, when I saw Trevor crying. "Trevor?" I whispered, "What's wrong?"
He turned his face to my direction. I gasped; bruises and cuts were all over his face. Rage was the only thing I felt at that moment.
"Those motherfuckers!" I yelled.
"Kyle, it’s okay!" he told me. I sighed and sat down next to him.
"Why would they do this?" I muttered quietly so he couldn't hear me.
"Maybe cause I deserve it."
I tried to explain that he didn't deserve it, but it was of no use as he was talking already.
"Hey, Kyle." he said standing up near the cliff, "What if I jumped right here, right now? No one will really care right?" he smiled a bit sadly.
"Stop joking and come back here." I laughed out in a shaky voice. My hands were starting to tremble. He wasn't serious right?
"Good bye, Kyle." he whispered and he fell backwards letting the wind lift him to heaven.
I ran to the edge and I saw him. I saw him fall gracefully, smiling eyes full of tears and happiness. He spreads open his arms wide, taking his final breathe. Closing his eyes, his body made contact with the ground. A deafening thud  filled the silence, his body like a broken toy. He. Was. Dead. The thought screamed over and over again in my head. HE. WAS. DEAD. The memories and tears started to flood.
"Trevor!" I cried. My hands were in a fist and I pounded the ground over and over, screaming until I couldn't. I decided I would get revenge. They had to pay for what they had done.

Flashback end~

Looking back then, maybe I would've stopped it before it happened. Kyle... a whisper echoed in the forest. I chuckled rubbing my forehead. I was probably hallucinating since I haven't been here for a while. I got up about to go before I felt chills run down my spin.
"Who's there?!" my cowardly voice asked.
I heard whispers, one of them loud.
"I'm sure he can help us since he can hear and see us!"
"Uh oh, not here." I remember one of the rules that my mom told me. Never ever attract their attention.
         "It can't be!" another shouted.
"Get out! This is my hideout." Could it be? They all grumbled and vanished.
I sighed out looking at the solid, boring ground.
"Gahh!" I hollered. Trevor's transparent body hovered right in front of me, causing me to fly back.
"Whoa there, don't want you dying here like Me." his voice rang through my ears.
"Holy shit, is that really-?" I gasped.
"Yep in the spirit." he winked.
I wanted to hug him, but I knew I couldn't. He looked the same of course with his tattered, worn out clothes.
I laughed with tears in my eyes, “Oh my god."
"Sit down, let's talk okay?" he proposed. I sat down next to him.
            "So how’s living?" Trevor asked.
I explained what had happened with my popularity and the gang. Hey the dead can keep a secret.
            "Wow!" he exclaimed.
            "How's being dead?" I joked.
"Pretty well. Messing with people and hanging at the girl’s locker room."
"Shut up!" I cracked up. He joined in.
We lay on the ground, looking at the stars. No city lights to destroy its beauty. Then told him about The Perfs and his laughter filled the sky.
"I should probably go now; they don't know I'm gone." I told Trevor. I could tell it was almost sunrise.
"Ohhhh Kyle, you badass. Bye." I laughed a bit and waved to him. "And Kyle?"
              "Hmm?"
"Will you come again?" he hopefully suggested.
               "Of course."
