Marvel Story: X-Men First Class

Chapter #2

One morning Kitty Pryde awakes to find herself in Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. A soft yawn escapes Kittys lips as she gets out of bed. Her companion a purple alien that looks like a dragon the size of a common house cat flies around her before landing on her shoulder. "Good Morning Lockheed. Sleep well? I had another terrible dream last night..." Kitty says with a voice of slight sadness.

Lockheed tries to comfort Kitty by nuzzling her cheek. "Thanks buddy..." Pryde says.

After brushing her teeth she pulls her chestnut brown hair up into a ponytail and gets dressed in her school uniform. A white button up shirt and blue plaid skirt along with some modest black heels. Grabbing her grey cardigan Kitty heads to breakfast.

Kitty gets breakfast and sits at a table with her best friend Bobby Drake also known as X-Men's IceMan. "Hey Bobby."

"Morning Kitty, how'd you sleep?" He asks concernedly.

"Alright I guess, just keep having these bad dreams about a woman dressed in white..." Kitty says taking a bite out of a warm buttery biscuit.

"The White Queen of the Hellfire Club, what's her name? Emma Frost, the woman who tried to recruit you before us?" Bobby asks with a raised brow.

"I think so... in my dreams she's evil. Using her students as minions for the Inner Circle." Kitty replies shaking her head slightly.

"I wouldn't put it past her... she's an ice cold bitch." Bobby chuckles before taking a sip of his apple juice.

Just then a tall metallic man walks by. His shiny skin glistens in the lights above. He glances over his broad shoulders slightly to give Kitty a flirtatious wink.

Her cheeks flush a bright pink as she tries to hide her great big smile. "Oh my gosh, did Colossus just wink at me?" Kitty whispers to her best friend Bobby.

"He totally did!" Bobby exclaims excitedly for Kitty, knowing she's had a major crush on Colossus since coming to the school.

"Shh!!! He'll hear you..." Kitty says covering Bobby's mouth with her hand embarrassedly.

All of a sudden Kitty hears a low chuckle come from behind her. She looks at Bobby and all he does is nod letting Kitty know Colossus was right behind her. Letting go of Bobby she turns around slowly flashing a bright smile.

"Um, hello... I'm—" Colossus was saying when Kitty cuts him off in the middle of his sentence.

"Piotr Rasputin... can I call you Peter?" Kitty says batting her light blue eyes.

"Call me whatever you like beautiful... mind if I walk you to class?" He says offering her his sturdy metallic hand.

"No of course not... Sorry Bobby, I'll see you after class." She says taking his hand and standing up before turning to Bobby.

"Don't worry about it, just meet me in the library after class." He says with a smile and a slight wave.

Colossus walks Kitty to class as she smiles and blushes, tucking her hair behind her ear looking like a total school girl crush scenario.
Once they arrive at class Kitty sees her mentor Ororo Munroe, but most students know her as Professor Storm. Ororo looks at Kitty talking to the upperclassman Colossus and shakes her head smiling slightly. Storms just happy to see Kitty finally enjoying herself here at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Colossus kisses Kitty on the cheek and whispers in her ear, "See ya around."

Kitty can't help but to blush and smile cheerfully as she takes a seat in class. Lockheed yawns softly before climbing down off Kittys shoulder to lay on the desk and take a nap. Professor Storm talks to the class about today's assignment... battle training.

Lockheed perks up hearing the sound of battle. Excited to show what he can do he blows smokes out of his purple nostrils. "Whoa, calm down buddy. Save it for later." Kitty says with a slight giggle.

"If you'll all follow me to the lower levels we'll start today's lesson with a battle simulation." Professor Storm says to the class.

Once the class arrives downstairs they see two X-Men, Jean Grey and Rogue. Jean is in her battle armor, her ginger red hair flowing down her back gracefully. While Rogue is in her signature look, brown leather jacket, and green bandanna tied around her head almost hidden from sight due to her curly brown hair with iconic white streak.

"Jean and Rogue are here to help assist me with today's lesson. You'll be split into teams of four and the simulator will select a random terrain or environment for us to maneuver during each battle. So who's first?" Storm says folding her arms across her chest.

Kitty looks around seeing three other girls standing apart from the crowd, she approaches them endearingly. "May I join you guys..." Pryde asks nicely.

The other girls turn to her Jubilee with her short black hair wearing her favorite pink glasses and yellow jacket, along with Blink a pink skinned mutant with teleportation abilities, and Siryn a mutant with sound based powers. They all look at each other and shrug nonchalantly, "Sure." Jubilee says through a slight smile and soft chuckle.
