Chapter 6

It's been six months ever since Hiyori was charged in the hospital. There are times she's smiling but a lot of time, she's suffering and Yukine's there to witness those. Six months and Yato's still wondering in other place, wouldn't visit her at all. Even just a glance, he didn't give her the satisfaction. Hiyori's sad about that, the person she wanted to be there the most didn't come at all. All those days she keeps on waiting, looking at her window and door for his presence. She even wished for his shadow, just a shadow she wanted to see but came none. Why won't Yato come? Am I burden? She couldn't think of other possibilities, only that she's a burden to him. For the last few weeks, she gave up. No matter how much she seeks, she longs and she wishes, there'll be no Yato by her side. Just the thought of dying without him scares her the most.

Yukine in his usual get up is on his way to enter Hiyori's room. Visiting her became his routine but he's happy though. He can also visit her in Yato's behalf. He entered the room with so much excitement and happiness to see her again but those emotions vanished when no one welcomed him. Hiyori's not in there and that made him panic. He immediately went out to search for her.

What is he gonna do? His heart's trembling and his mind won't calm down. Anytime right now, he might cry his fear out. He couldn't find her. Where is she? Where is Hiyori? Where are you Hiyori?

He ended up running into Kofuku's house for Yato's presence but seems like he went out. He felt a pang of fear that Yato couldn't be seen at a time like this. He wanted Yato to help him in search for her. Yukine knows that he can do it, after all he knows much about Hiyori more than Yukine knows.

Yukine didn't stop searching for both until he found him. He's there in the park sitting in the grasses as he feels the air that caresses his cheeks. He's staring at the sky as if he's wishing, begging for something that couldn't be granted. Too much sadness and worry in his eyes. His heart's in agony and it hurts so much. You would feel all those emotions after looking at his eyes just like Yukine. He felt how much Yato's longing for Hiyori. He knows it, it's obvious that it's fear that's preventing Yato to see her but now's not the right time to choose fear, they need to find her.

"Yato!" Yukine shouted. He squatted and put his hands on his knees as he breathes for air. Yato slowly turned his face to look at the person who called him.

He stood up, neared their distance and asked,"Yukine? Why are you here? I thought you're visiting Hiyori in their hospital?"

Then once again, upon remembering what happened, Yukine's eyes widened with fear. His hands trembled as he shakes Yato's shoulders, shouting with so much anxiety. "Hiyori! H-hiyori is missing. Y-Yato, when I arrived in her room, no one welcomed me and I've been searching for her anywhere. I don't know. I'm worried. Yato, Hi-Hiyori, sear-"

Yato didn't bother to let him finish his words. He quickly took his jacket and flew off. He is feeling more than fear, worry, pain and most of all he doesn't know where she might be. He never knew this will happen, that Hiyori will be gone and is nowhere to be found. He felt a pang of regret for himself. Why didn't he visit Hiyori when she's still there? Why did he let fear ate him? Why?

He forced his self to focus. He needs to focus to find her. He doesn't know much about the places Hiyori is hanging-out but at a time like this, he knew she won't go that far. She's sick and she's smart enough not to stress her self. Yato trusts her that much though he doubts himself that he could find her.

"She cant be that far." Yato convinced himself. He sighed as he jumps around the city, looking out for her. Not a footprint nor a shadow of Hiyori can be seen. No clues at all.

He then decided to go in the hospital, hoping that she already returned. As he walks to the entrance, an abandoned church right around the corner, he saw. Its walls are starting to crumble, cracks all over the foundations but a part of it stood still. The golden door engraved with some designs took his attention. He slowly opened it and the creek sound echoed in the whole place. Some small stones started to fall but he didn't get to look at those. He was welcomed by a beautiful scenery. He walks inside, anticipating such wonderful place but when he's completely in, what he saw is just so breathtaking that he literally stopped his breathe as he stares at the woman in front of him that dances together with the wind. It's as if the wind formed a person that held her hands to dance with her. She spins around and she looks just like a princess when her dress swayed. Her hair gently touches her cheeks every time she pauses. She looks around feeling the atmosphere the place has. Some flower petals flew and danced with her. She's a princess in a paradise. Too much happiness in her eyes that, that one scene can bring you to tears. For the last move, she looked up with her eyes closed and that instant, sun rays touched her skin that made it redder. It's really breathtaking.
