Second Chances

Epilogue:

I don’t know what happened. One minute I was at 1989 kissing Edward for the first time the next I’m dizzy and I’m back at the fortune tellers booth.

What I’m back? I don’t get it. What happened?

“Welcome back” the fortune teller tells me.

“I- I don’t get it. What am I doing here?” I cry

“You’ve finished your mission. You’ve changed the life of six persons for the better.” She says smilingly.

“Explain it to me please.” I requested.

“Dear, when I touched your hand I immediately saw the life you’ve lived. I knew you’re a good person, and the good ones always deserve a break.

So I sent you back to 1989. You changed the life of more than six people actually.

First Rosalie Hale- McCarty, If you hadn’t help her with Lauren and Jessica. One day she would’ve got tired of it all and decide to end her life.

Second, Emmett McCarty, You introduced him to Rosalie.  If you didn’t he would have continued playing football and eventually get injured. Then he wouldn’t be able to attend College and he  would’ve worked at McDonalds paying his uncles debts.

Third Alice Brandon-Whitlock, If you  hadn’t offered her the girls night she would’ve walked home and gotten raped. In her previous life she ended up pregnant and lived a hard life of a single-mother.

Fourth Jasper Whitlock, you helped with his low self-esteem issue. In his previous life he was always bullied and he dealt with it by coping on his own, so he was introverted and had a hard time with his life. You introduced him a great set of friends that has helped him with his people issue.

Fifth Jacob Black, you may not have seen it but by breaking  with him earlier you caused him to meet a lovely lady named Leah. If he ended up with that Tanya-the girl he was secretly seeing behind my back when we were together. He would go through the pain of Tanya cheating on him and destroying his family.

Sixth Edward, actually In Edward’s previous life he was very wealthy and successful. Nothing much changed except you. You brought him so much happiness, you became his wife and you’ve shared a wonderful life together with your son, EJ. In his previous life Edward was lonely and didn’t have anyone to share his life with.

And last Charlie Swan, When your mom died you and your father’s relationship didn’t get strained. Because you changed your morals. You weren’t a spoiled, immature child anymore. You were there for him, you were his refuge and because of that he didn’t shut you out.

Now do you understand? You completed your mission. You got your second chance. And for that congratulations” she said  smiling at me “You’re a good person Bella, enjoy your life.”

I got out of her booth and made my way to a table.

Recalling all she had told me. Who would have known that fixing some high school drama could have a huge effect.

I was taken out of my reverie by a hand snaking it’s way to my waist. “There you are. I’ve been looking for you everywhere.” I looked up and sure enough it was Edward. I smiled up at him and gave him a tight hug.

He laughs. “You look tired, love. Do you want to go home?” he asks concern written in his voice.

“Yes please” I replied.

We made our way to our friends.

Emmett and Rose didn’t change one bit. Alice and Jasper were glowing, probably due to Alice’s pregnancy.

We bid them goodbye but Rose wouldn’t let me go with a hug. Then she and Emmett were called on to stage to crown the prom queen and king.

We waved goodbye and were making our way home when Edward stops walking and capture my face. “I love you” he says. I smile at him and reply “I love you too”.

I was one lucky girl. My life used to be so dull and lonely. I got a second chance and I’m very much thankful that it turned out like this.

Sure there may not be anyway to explain what happened. But I’ll be damned if I give up this life.

Surrounded by amazing friends, family and I have the love of my life.

I was probably the luckiest girl on the planet.

I leaned into Edward and gave him a searing kiss.

When life give you a second chance,

DON’T WASTE IT.
