------------------------ I turned off the car and looked back at Hope as she was sleeping peacefully. I didn't want to wake her up so I silently closed the door as I got out of the car I went over to her side and opened the door I unbuckled her seat belt and slowly picked her up she moved a bit before I had her completely in my arms.
I closed the door and locked the car completely as I walked up the porch stairs I took out my keys and unlocked the door. I walked in fully and closed the door. I stopped dead in my tracks as I saw a figure sitting on the couch.
I rolled my eyes.
"Seriously Kai, following me home is stupid didn't you have an appointment with-" I got cut off by voice that sent chills down my spine.
"I'm not Kai Mi amor." The voice said. I turned on the light and saw Riccardo in the flesh, I stood frozen where I was all the memories came rushing back I knew that he could sense my fear.
"Wow it's been 5 years and you don't even recognize my voice anymore." He said as he stood up.
I took a step back I held hope tight in my arms I wasn't going to let him take me again.
"Did you miss me my love." He said as he took a few steps forward.
"I came here to take you and our daughter home." He said as he tried to touch hopes hair I smacked his hand away.
"Don't lay a finger on my daughter and the only way I'll go with you is if I'm in a coffin." I said.
His eyes darkened. "You have gotten quite feisty since the last time I saw you, you were just a little girl now your a woman." He said and looked me up and down I felt disgusted.
He came at me and grabbed my arm harshly I took his arm and twisted it as he landed on the floor I then used my knees and kicked him right where the sun don't shine.
I rushed out the door and ran to my car unlocking it quickly I got inside with hope still in my arms. I locked the door and started the car as he walked out of the house he looked right at me as I smirked and backed out the drive way. and at full speed started driving I didn't know where I was going but it had to be somewhere.
I heard Hope groaning as she looked at me. "Mommy where are we going." She said.
"Somewhere safe." I said as I kissed her cheek.
"Go to the back and put on your seat belt sweety." I said and she climbed off me and into the back.
My eyes started getting teary as I began to remember what it felt like to have him close. everything felt so cold in that moment I felt a single tear go down my face and soon another one went down and then others came along.
I started crying, i tried wiping some tears away but it was useless more started coming down.
"Mommy what's wrong?" Hope asked I looked at the mirror and saw her face her sweet innocent face. I smiled and wiped some tears away.
