Decision

We've been running from Ricardo for years now and all this time I thought that we were safe from him, we were very far away from him.

Although Hope never got to know her father she knew that he wasn't good. She's a smart kid, but she's the spitting image of him. The same blue eyes, the same brunette hair and she even shares his love for art.

It pains me to know that once this is all over I might be dead or have decided something that I'm sure will make her hate me forever but it has to be done. For her safety, for her future.

I don't want her to grow up with a father like him. She'll be better off never knowing what he has done to her mother.

I love Hope unconditionally, I would do anything for her. I would die for her i have to.

When mary rushed up the stairs and told us that they had found out where we are.

Fear struck me and I knew that running would just do no good, I got hope to go with her quickly whilst I gathered all her things and put them into her back pack.

I slipped in a note I wrote for her.

She will read it when she gets to Italy, and I hope she understands that everything I'm doing is for her.

I rushed down the stairs and met them at the bottom of the staircase.

Kai was outside getting the cars ready and Aria was helping him out.

"Let's go we don't have enough time!" She pulled my wrist but I didn't budge from my stand.

She looked at me confused.

I bent down to hope and held her hands in mine.

"We're not going to see each other for a really long time, my butterfly. I need you to be good to Mary." Tears formed in my eyes.

"What are you talking about mom?" She questioned.

Mary shook her head.

"No,no, mi vida-." I cut her off.

"I need to do this for your safety to ensure that you have a fantastic future ahead of you." My voice cracked.

"Make art, use your voice to create good in this life and have adventures." I smiled.

Hopes eyes started to water and so did Mary's.

"I love you so, so, so much hope. More than you can imagine which is why I have to do this."

She didn't say a word and pulled me into a tight hug. I wrapped my arms around her and tears escaped my eyes, leaving her will be the greatest regret I have in life but I will, for her safety.

I heard her sniffles,

"I don't want to let go." She cried.

"I know baby," I whispered.

"The cars are ready we have to go no-" Kai stopped in his tracks.

I looked to him.

I pulled away from Hope and planted a kiss on her forehead. I wiped her tears away and handed her my necklace, I placed it in her palm and closed her hand.

"Keep this with you, as a reminder of my love for you."

"Mama what's going on?" Kai questioned, she didn't answer. She looked away from him and took hopes hand.

She planted a soft kiss on my forehead and smiled warmly.

"que dios te acompañe mi hija." She whispered in my ear.

Then she walked away with Hope.

Hope kept looking back at me and I couldn't bear to look at her. I feel like Shit.

She walked out the door leaving me with Kai, he shook his head lightly.

"No harper." He said sternly.

"You can't stay here it's not safe!" He walked closer to me.

"I can't keep on running from him Kai, it's no use."

"I have to stay here and fight for my stand. I need to take my revenge and I need to ensure hopes future." My voice softened.

I looked at his eyes and saw that his eyes had softened from his cold stare. I know he's against it but it's a decision that I made alone, I need to fight.

And when I get my revenge the moon will shine a red color, indicating that I can go home to my daughter again.

And live out my happy life with her.

He didn't respond or say anything to me.

"Then I'll stay with you. We fight together, and I know you will work hard to ensure her future."

I slight smile appeared on my face and I felt warmth. We fight together the words I thought I would never hear coming from Kai.

This war started because of me.

And it will end with me having Ricardo's head in my hands.

I will fight until the end.

I will win this war, just fucking watch.
