**Moxie**

Friday got here sooner than I wanted it to and we were sitting inside of the clinic.
My nerves were fighting me as Magna sat next to me, his eyes on the kids playing in the corner while he had this soft smile on his face.
"Just think, that'll be our kid in a few years." He told me.
I blinked but smiled softly making myself relax as I sat next to the other.
"Were we just wanting one kid?" I asked him without thinking before my face caught fire at his gawking expression.
He grinned at me.
"You haven't even had Iggy yet and you want more?" He teased.
"Hush I wasn't thinking." I whined hiding my face in my hands.

Magna smirked softly.
"I wouldn't mind having a couple of brats with you if that's what you want, Mox. I love kids." He shrugged smiling softly at me now.
I looked at him and with a soft sigh I smiled at him.
"Me too." I told him.

"Mr.Ellison? The doctor will see you now." The nurse announced and just by the sound of the last name, people were really staring in my direction now, before taking in note Magna was the one I was with.
No one said anything but based on their expressions, not everyone was still on board about our towns finally starting to merge as one.

"You came here to see which race they're going to be correct?" The doctor questioned looking over the papers as I lied on the bed looking at the monitor.
"Yes, it's something that has been crossing our minds lately." I told him.
He nodded turning around to face the computer.

"You're due in two months starting tomorrow, so far everything is looking good and the baby is very healthy. There should be no complications with the delivery, but let me go run the tests and I'll be back here shortly to let you know if your son is a wolf or a vampire." He said getting up then walked out of the room, leaving the two of us alone.

I lied there while looking at Magna who had no problem looking back at me.
"Nervous?" He asked me.
I blinked but smiled softly.
"Not really, I'm just ready to have them in my arms to hold." I told him.
He smiled softly placing the side of his face in his hand looking at me.
"Two long months are going to fly by sooner than you think, and before you know it, Iggy will be here as either a wolf child or a vampire offspring." He told me.

I nodded looking at him before the doctor returned except, his expression was more in shock as he came over and took a seat.
My brows knitted.
"Is the baby okay?" I asked him.
The doctor nodded looking at me.
"Your baby is fine Mr.Ellison, its your child's race that is shocking to me." He told me.

"He must be a vampire." Magna joked but the doctor didn't laugh, he looked serious looking at me.

"Your son is going to be born as an Eve." He told me.

I lied there feeling my heart racing as I looked at the doctor.
"An.. Eve? You mean-"
"The offspring of a vampire and wolf?" Magna cut me off while looking at the doctor with furrowed brows.
The doctor frowned.
"It's very rare for this kind of thing to happen, usually the two genes clash until one of the race genes dominants the other, but in this case. Those two genes morphed as one and that is what creates a rarity in which your son will be born as." The doctor explained to us as I lied there trying not to cry.

"This will only put a target on our sons back right? Because Eve's are rare, they get used and abused for power all because alpha's and others think that the Eve's are weapon hybrids." I felt the tears slip and Magna's hold on my hand tightened.
The doctor frowned at me.
"I understand its not the kind of news you were expecting, and I'm sorry this is not what you'd want for your son. If you'd like some advice? I'd suggest moving to a much smaller town where you're not recognized, your son being born as an Eve will possibly trigger heterochromia which will possibly give your son two different colored eyes. It's not guaranteed, but it has happened to Eve children in the past." He told us.

I looked at him with knitted brows.
"What happened to the Eve children in the past once they were found out?" I asked him.
The doctor didn't have to say anything.
His saddened expression said everything.
They were all slaughtered.

The drive to Magna's parents was quiet as I looked out the window, my heart hadn't slowed down not once since the doctor shared the news with us.
We agreed to see his family first before mine to share the news.
To prepare the others for whats to come once Iggy is born.
It terrified me.
He was going to be born into a world where he'd only be seen as some kind of object before he would be seen as who he is.
And that breaks my heart.

We sat in his parents drive way for a moment and the stray tears fell.
"Moxie-"
"Our son is an Eve, Magna." I looked at him with knitted brows and a broken expression.
"He'll never have a normal life now, he'll just be seen as this hybrid and see it as a curse his parents gave him." I sat there crying with my hands on my stomach.
Magna frowned at me.
"Our son won't be a curse or be seen as a hybrid-"
"BUT THAT'S WHAT HE IS!" I screamed in the passenger seat with tears that continued to fall.
I sat there trembling.

"If anyone finds out our son is a hybrid, they'll come for him, they'll come and they will kil-"
"Moxie, stop it!" Magna glared at me now.
"No one is coming for our son, no one is killing him, Iggy will have a full long life once he's born and I won't let anything happen to him." He was holding my hands squeezing them as he frowned at me with hurt in his eyes.
"What our son is? Is awesome, our son gets to be the one thing no one else is, unique. And we're going to love and support him so he never has to think otherwise, so he doesn't have to question anything about being what he is. Our son is going to be amazing and beautiful and we're going to love him, he'll never wonder his self worth, he'll never wonder if what he is, is good or bad because we'll remind him every day. He's this best damn thing that's happened to us as his parents, we won't get depressed over this and we will cherish every moment from now until he's born, that is when his story begins." He told me.

I sat there with knitted brows as he leaned over pressing his lips to mine before he broke the kiss.
"We're going to be fine, okay?" He caressed my cheek smiling softly looking at me.
"So don't panic like that, I won't let anything happen to this family, I promise." He kissed me again and I wanted to melt.

"Look at that glow!" Magna's mom was the first to greet us outside as she wore a light orange dress that met her ankles, she reached for Magna first kissing his cheek then brought me in for a hug, soon kissing my forehead.

"You look ready to pop." She smile at me.
I smiled softly.
"I'm ready to hold him."
"Oh I believe it baby, after my six I still wanted more, but we've been so busy with packs and vampires fighting their own, I haven't been able to convince Gene to stop for a moment to give me another one." She smiled walking us inside of their house.

Magna was frowning behind her.
"What did you mean by vampires fighting their own?" He asked.
Sage glanced to him.
"You meant you haven't heard about Nathan Kelley and Valentine Lowery wanting blood just to want it? They're making the vampires like us look bad so a lot of innocent are starting to hide again, and I don't mean just the wolf clans, vampires are hiding as well."
"But why now?" Magna frowned deeply.
"Why start acting out now?" He asked.

Sage only sighed with a shrug.
"I don't know baby, I just know it has your father, brothers and sisters stressing out, not for themselves but for their mates. There's a lot of panic." She said.

"So when you said Nathan and Valentine, you're referring to the Crimson Sun Clan, right?" He frowned at her.
Sage looked at him and frowned softly.
"Unfortunately, but we'll get it figured out, maybe push that clan back towards the ditches or something, we have too many little ones on the way to let them come here stirring up trouble." She said as her eyes fell on my stomach.

"But on a lighter note, it seems you two have news you want to share with us?" She smiled.
I looked at her.
"I don't know if it'll make things better or not, but we found out our sons race." I told her.
She looked at me with interest.
"And? Are they like their daddy, a vampire or their mommy, a wolf?"
I blushed at the nickname before I frowned at her.
"Neither, Iggy is an Eve." I told her.

I watched Sage's blue eyes growing wide at the news.
"An Eve..?" She stepped forward and cautiously placed her hand on my stomach listening as she frowned softly.
"So you've been given the gift of a hybrid," she looked at us for a moment.
"It's worth celebrating, but you look so broken over the news as their parent." She pointed out frowning at me.
I stood there wanting to cry again as I looked at her.
"I'm scared, Sage." I told her.
She took my hands and squeezed them.
"Baby you have nothing to be scared about, your son will be highly protected as will all of the other babies soon to be born, and that includes my other grandson who I have no doubt that I'll rarely see seeming that Sin wants to keep himself and Asta far away from us and the wolves race." She crossed her arms.

Magna frowned.
"Sin is hiding? Why?"
She only shrugged.
"I don't know why your siblings do half the things they do baby, they just do it." Her eyes fell on me.
"Have you shared the news with your family yet?" She asked me.
I shook my head.
"We came here first." I told her.
She smiled softly.
"Well I feel special but you should really go tell your mom and others, I'm sure they're dying to know just how special your baby is." She smiled at me.

"That's what I keep telling him." Magna joked as I blushed.
Sage smiled.
"You two can come visit when you have more free time and the others are here, we'll have a feast next time." She hugged us as we went for the door.
We both nodded with soft smiles before getting in the car and Magna was soon to drive off.

"You're not going to involve yourself with the vampires attacking each other, are you?" I asked him on the way to my moms house.
"No." Magna frowned glancing to me.
"I mean I won't lie to you, I'm curious to know why Nathan of all vampires are acting out, but Valentine as well? It's weird to me, there has to be a reason behind it. We've already dealt with plenty of drama from when Ace and Church were trying to ruin lives, we don't need vampires trying to dominant again like in the past." He said pulling into my moms driveway.

We got out and I grinned seeing my dad, Bane Silver standing there with his arms crossed.

"I thought that was you two coming in." He commented as we walked up to the black haired man.
"We had to come share the news about your grandson, just hopefully you guys react like Magna's mom did, or else I'm going to be a nervous wreck." I frowned.
"Which is something we don't need." Magna held my shoulders while looking at my dad who blinked but nodded motioning for us to follow him inside.

"Moxie!" I smiled as my mom hugged me while hearing the chatter in the family room.
"You look beautiful." She smiled at me.
"Did the two of you just get done at the doctors?" She asked.
I nodded.
"We stopped by Magna's moms first since she was closer." I told her.
She nodded walking into the family room and I was shocked that everyone was present.

And that included Asta and Sin, while Asta held a white blanket with a baby wrapped in it.
My eyes were wide.
"You had him?" I asked walking over to the other while Magna joined me.
Asta nodded cradling his son.
"A few days ago, we didn't want it crowded so we've just been making stops-"

"Mom's worried about you, Sin, why are you hiding?" Magna asked him.
Sin paused and he looked at the other.
"I'm sure you know about the Crimson Sun acting out?" He questioned.
Magna frowned but nodded.
Sin frowned at him.
"That's why we're hiding, Nathan is pissed about something and adding Valentine only made things worse, I don't want my mate and child in danger so I'm only thinking smart about this." He said.

"You should at least explain that to mom, so she isn't worrying over you, does she even know Styx is born?" Magna asked him.
Sin frowned.
"Not yet, we're stopping there last before we head out. We wanted Moxie's family to at least meet their cousin in case we can't return back here." He explained to us.

I looked at Asta.
"Is that what you want?" I asked him.
Asta frowned at me.
"It is Moxie, my son comes first before I do, I won't be anywhere near vampires who are killing just to kill." He told me.
I frowned deeply at that.

"And that's not even the worst part." I looked over my shoulder to where Mistral stood with Devin, both frowning.
"There's even more bad news?" I was starting to feel sick.

Mistral frowned at me.
"Crimson Sun acting out has only caused the biggest wolf clan Dark Moon to also act out, an all out war between the wolves and vampires like before, except Dark Moon is made up of strictly alpha's with the exception of two beta's, no one is sure why both clans are making an appearance, especially now of all times." Mistral's arms crossed.

My mom looked at me frowning softly.
"Well to hopefully ease everyone's nerves, how about you share the good news about your son? You found out whether Iggy was a vampire or wolf, right?" She smiled.

I blinked despite feeling sick I felt myself swaying.
"O-Oh, we found out Iggy is going to be an Eve." I announced.

There was silence.

"He's a what?"
