Those worrisome thoughts have consumed you once again. You couldn't help it though; not with the knowledge that you were unfortunate to have obtained.

Sitting on the cold stone floor in front of a burning fireplace, you thought deeply about what you were going to do. Could you even do anything was an even bigger question, and what would you do if something went wrong. The situation was wildly out of your control just like everything else, and you couldn't help but panic and worry which is what led you to sit before the fire. You could not sleep because of the panic, so you sat awake instead, staring into the flames as if they'd give you the answer you were looking for.

Sabo was going to go do something dangerous again. Far more dangerous than anything else yet. Entering Mary Geoise was a death wish. Territory where Celestial Dragons had free reign to do whatever they pleased was a bad place to be, yet Sabo would be going there soon to do the absolutely maddening task of declaring war on the World Government. The thought alone terrified you and stole away your ability to sleep, remembering the already terrifying stories Sabo told you from his childhood. You didn't want him to go. You didn't want him to be in danger like that ever again.

While still deep in panicked thought, the sound of footsteps finally broke through the wall of voices in your head. Looking up from the flames, you turned your head a little to see none other than Sabo himself come around a corner with a puzzled look on his face. He stopped just beside you and looked down at you, tilting his head a little.

"_______, why are you on the floor? There's a couch right there." He asked you in his usual playful tone.

Simply seeing Sabo after all your panicked thoughts was enough to make your heart jump and flutter with worry and relief at the same time, but hearing him simply brought tears to your eyes. A thought in the back of your mind made you wonder what it would be like to never hear his voice again, and the few tears that rolled past your waterline could not be stopped. He caught sight of them and uncrossed his arms, immediately dropping down next to you to see what was wrong.

"Hey, hey what's wrong? I'm sorry if it was me, I didn't mean to sound rude, just... The couch is much nicer than the floor, _______." He

Said gently, resting his hands on your shoulders.

"I-It's not that. I'm just s-scared. Scared for you. Please. Be careful..." You whimpered, trying your hardest to hold your tone steady.

"What?"

"I know... I know your next mission. Of course I do though. I know you're going up to the Holy Land. I don't... I don't want you to disappear." You elaborated, struggling to see him past your watery vision.

"Oh... Oh _________." He said softly, changing his position to instead pull you into a hug and hold you close in his lap. "I won't disappear. Not again."

"You don't know that though. N-no one does. Nobles are an insane type of people and... and... It scares me. You might not come home to me, and that scares me." You rambled on, pressing yourself against him as much as you could for fear you might phase through him at any moment.

"... You're right. I really don't know what's going to happen. But, I will be trying my damndest to come home to you. I have to. You're the most important person to me, after all." He said softly, bringing you in closer to lift you up off the floor with him.

He carried you over to the couch he spoke of and sat down with you still in his arms, nosing his way between you and his chest to pepper you with kisses. Your cheeks were inevitably wet with tears, giving a salty taste to each kiss, but he simply wiped your cheeks dry and brought his kisses to your lips, trying to calm you down. He knew exactly why you were concerned, and you had every right to be. He was scared too, but he had to get done what needed to be done. All he could do for you right now was comfort you with kisses, and he hoped it would be enough until he came home... If he came home.

"Come home to me Sabo." You whispered one more time when he parted with you, your fatigue finally taking you down into a partial sleepy state.

"I will." He whispered.

Both of you sat there in silence on the couch until you were both knocked out. You were the first to fall asleep still tucked in his arms, and he soon followed, leaned against the arm of the couch with an unwavering hold on you. Both of you hoped and prayed for safety...

But neither of you would be able to anticipate the story that the news coo would bring you after he had left for his mission.
