A/N: Soo I kind of forgot to add Capricorn in the female's list (LOL) and also I added quotes for each of the signs on the suggestion of a friend. I also forgot to tell when I update so now it's in the Authors Note. Check them out!
Libra's POV
We reached the center in about 15 minutes. It was 11:45am and the center would start giving the prophecies to everyone in about 15 minutes more. I looked at Aries who was looking at a boy. I squinted at the guy she was glaring at. He was clearly checking Aries out, with a smirk plastered across his face. He was handsome too and gave out bad boy vibes, tons of rings on each of his fingers and cross earrings on his ears.
Personally, I found him sexy.
Aries looked away as he made his way towards us. His friend who had curly blonde hair and was wearing a hoodie stayed back.
''Hey love~'' The guy spoke, his voice coming out deep and husky. Aries huffed. Usually she would flirt back. ''What's wrong?'' I whispered. Aries glared at the guy again and turned away, her voice whispering back,'' Its his stupid cheeky grin I can't stand.'' I inwardly laughed. The guy's smirk turned into a confused expression. He looked at me, questioning why my best friend was acting like this. I grabbed Aries's arm and turned her around. ''At least talk to him so he goes away.'' Aries nodded and looked at the guy. ''Hey.'' she said, flatly.
The guy grinned again, ''You're beautiful~'' Aries smirked, ''Should I say fuck off or thanks? Listen up, I'm not in the mood right now so get your ass out of my territory.'' She said making a big circle around us with her foot. ''Now, out.''
The grin simply washed off the guy's face but I saw how a small smile played on his lips. Maybe he liked how Aries behaved. Weird.
I looked around. The bad boy and his hoodie friend were talking while a group of a brown haired boy, another brown haired wearing glasses boy and a blue haired girl were sitting on a couple of hairs. The glasses wearing boy was eating a burger, not paying much attention to the talking while the girl was cheerfully talking. A black haired boy along with a curly haired guy and a black haired girl who was wearing a denim shirt were laughing and eating a bag of chips. On another wall near an alley a blonde haired girl was listening to music. She wore a black shirt and trousers as an Asian girl was talking on the phone.
Soon, a boy ran out of the center, laughing, as he made way to his friends. A purple haired girl trailed him, a few tears in her eyes as she stared at her prophecy. I immediately knew she would be taken to a center where she and the others who were destined to destroy the world would be kept, trained to control their powers and emotions. I felt bad for her.
''NEXT'' a voice yelled and Aries grabbed my hand as we walked inside the center.
A middle aged man and a young guy were on the table in front of us. They had a box full of prophecies next to them. The center was covered with golden brown lights which gave the impression of an aesthetic place. There were books on the shelves near the table and many, many jars on another shelf. The middle aged man motioned us to take places on either one of the chairs. I took a chair in front of the man while Aries plopped down before the 20 year something guy.
''Name?'' It took me a moment to realize the man was talking to me. ''Libra Sc-'' I was going to tell him my last name before he cut me off with an impatient muttering. ''No need. Your name is already weird enough who else would have the same name.'' I stared at this guy in front of me.
How rude.
Aries shot the man a glare and continued talking to the young man who asked her for her birth certificate. The man in front of me next asked me for my birth certificate. I grabbed my backpack and handed it over to him. After a few minutes of nodding, he rummaged through one of the boxes and gave me the scroll. Aries who was sitting on her table immediately stood up. She had a scroll in her hand too and tried her best to smile. I could see she was angry.
I walked out of the center as another pair of excited teens walked in. I looked at the scroll.
The ribbon tying the paper up had my name and birth date.
This. This my destiny. My life now.
''I dont get it!! A fucking piece of paper decides MY life?!'' Aries whispered to me, angrily. She wanted to be independent and now she couldn't be...
I shushed her as I opened my scroll. A life advice, a para was written which I had to follow, which told me what I should do, what I should follow. The letters were written in black ink and Aries peeped over my shoulder looking at my scroll.
''No one is going to bail you out of whatever mess you've created but you. If you're broke, no one is going to magically leave you an inheritance, and you no one is just going to offer you the perfect job without you doing some of the legwork. You need to take responsibility for your life and go out into the world.''
Another small line was written at the end of the page. I squinted. It was underlined.
Must be something important.
''A great adventure lies ahead. Stick together and trust each other. Or you'll fall apart.''
Aries let out a gasp. ''No way..'' she muttered as she looked from her scroll to mine, then again hers and mine, then hers again and at last mine. She showed me her scroll.
''You need to watch your excessive self-confidence and hubris. While being confident is great, you take it to the extreme so that you think things that happen to other people won't happen to you. You put yourself in dangerous situations with very little thought about the consequences and you don't hold back when you want to say something, so you can piss people off and not understand why they're upset.''
Then she pointed to the line under the prophecy. It was underlined.
''A great adventure lies ahead. Stick together and trust each other. Or you'll fall apart.''
My mouth fell open. Aries looked stressed. And I couldn't even speak.
''No...No way..'' I managed to say.
