Virgo's POV
''Cancer- Can you go make some coffee? I wanna um.. tell you something.'' I said, looking at Cancer. He was staring at me.
''They all went. Why didn't we go? I don't think we had something to do...'' Cancer said.
''Darl-Uh I mean, Cancer. Cancer, I really really need to tell you something. And I'm sorry you couldn't go but you really need to hear this.'' I replied, taking a step towards him.
Cancer shrugged and hugged me. ''It's alright. They're too loud anyway.'' He then walked towards the kitchen, grabbing some milk and coffee from the table.
I climbed up the stairs, towards the library. I slowly opened the door, looking towards the window. A slight drizzle had started. They all might get wet.. But they're also quite a lot of distance away from this place. Away from me. Away from us, I thought.
''I think I'm in love...'' I whispered to myself, grabbing 'The fault in our stars' from a shelf and settling on the small couch in front of the window. It was comfortable. I flipped open the book distractedly, my mind far away from this mansion..
What did he mean? We had to leave this place. We'd be together but that wouldn't be too comforting. Why was I trusting this man anyway?! But.. He seemed like he knew what he was doing...
''COFFEE!!!''
I looked up to see Cancer standing at the door, two coffee mugs in his hands. ''You okay? You seem a little worried.''
''Oh yeah. Come on, sit down. You need to believe what I say though.'' I said, patting the couch.
Cancer sat down, spilling a little bit of coffee on his shirt. He gave me the coffee and tilted his head. ''Yes?''
I took a deep breathe. ''Cancer. I'm sorry but I can't keep this a secret any more. I love you.''
For a moment, I thought that I might die. This was I first time I had acknowledged my feelings for someone. And it sure wasn't easy. Cancer looked at me, probably shocked. I could feel his breathe hitch for a moment. Then he blinked and his face turned slightly red.
''You're blushing?'' I asked, placing my hand on his cheek. His face felt hot. And it got hotter the moment I touched it. I gave a nervous laugh to ease the tension. Cancer pulled his face away and looked down, taking deep breathes. I gave another laugh.
''Oh um.. Virgo I thought you didn't allow love in this house?'' Cancer asked.
''Well, true. But I fell in love myself. So I guess, I'll be changing the rules. And.. I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way about me.'' I answered, with just a hint of sadness in my voice.
''Well actually... I do. I love you. Like kind of a lot... And um since you didn't allow love in this house, I just didn't show it..'' Cancer said, his voice almost a whisper. He got up, his head down, and slowly moved to the door. Now's my chance. It's now or never.
I got up and pushed Cancer towards a shelf, hoping it wouldn't topple over. Cancer looked surprised. I took this moment to kiss him. I moved a little clumsily and slowly, giving him time to stop me if he didn't want this, hoping we wouldn't bump noses. I tilted my head a little and pressed my lips on top of his, butterflies in my stomach. We probably kissed for a few seconds when I pulled away my head, to look at Cancer. He looked at me and then giving me the slightest of smirks, pushed his lips against mine. My first kiss. It wasn't earth-shattering or anything, but it felt nice.
Laughing and blushing a little (less me, more him), we sat right back on the couch, sipping our coffee which were now cold. ''Cancer, I love you. I just want you to remember that.'' I said, smiling softly. ''I know. I love you.'' Cancer said, smiling back.
