Alone

Y/n caught up to her as fast as she can before Mirabel went upstairs.

"Mirabel." Y/n called her.

Mirabel turned to Y/n.

"Uhh, hi again. About the cracks-" Y/n said but she was interrupted by Mirabel.

"I know, you're gonna say I'm crazy to think there are cracks everywhere around the house." Mirabel said.

"No, that's not what I was gonna say. I actually saw the cracks." Y/n said.

"Wait, you did?" Mirabel said.

"Yeah, I saw it when I was about to call you back inside Antonio's room. But when I got out, I saw you kneeling down to the cracking tiles as it grew bigger. I also saw the candle almost went out." Y/n said.

"Wow, I-I can't believe you saw what I saw. I thought I was the crazy one." Mirabel said.

"Well, you're not. If they ever say you're crazy, well. I'm also crazy then." Y/n said trying to cheer Mirabel up.

Mirabel chuckled.

"Thanks, that actually made me a hundred times better uhh, sorry I don't your name." Mirabel said.

"Oh, it's Y/n, Y/n Díaz." Y/n said.

"Well, it's very nice to meet you Y/n." Mirabel said.

Y/n smiled.

"Well, I have to go to my room now since it seems hopeless to go back to the party." Mirabel said.

"Right, uhh. I'll have to go back inside there since your cousin Camilo will be looking for me I think." Y/n said.

"Alright, uhh bye." Mirabel said.

"Bye." Y/n said as she waved her hand.

As Mirabel walks away, Y/n went back inside Antonio's room and saw the crowd was still dancing and some are eating, some are congratulating Antonio.

Once Camilo saw Y/n, he ran towards her.

"Hey!" Camilo said.

"Hey, Camilo!" Y/n said.

"Where have you been?" Camilo asked.

"Oh, sorry. I saw that you were having fun with your family. So I wanted to give you a moment." Y/n said.

"Well, I'm free now. Maybe we could have our moment together." Camilo said.

Y/n looked at Camilo after hearing his words.

Camilo's eyes then went wide open.

"As friends. You know, just to get away from the crowd for a minute." Camilo said.

"Sure, I'd love to." Y/n said.

The two teenagers slipped out of Antonio's room and walked around.

As they passed by Bruno's room, Y/n was so curious why Bruno's room doesn't light up.

"Why doesn't your tío Bruno's room light up like the others?" Y/n asked.

"Oh, uhh that's because he left. We don't know where he is." Camilo said.

"I wonder how he looks like." Y/n said.

As she turned to Camilo, her soul almost left her body to see Camilo has shape-shifted into his tío Bruno.

Y/n fell to the ground as Camilo scared her by shape-shifting into someone else.

Camilo then shape-shifts back into his real self as he helped Y/n up.

"Camilo, you scared the life out of me." Y/n said as she punched his shoulder.

Camilo laughed so hard.

"But seriously though, that's how my tío Bruno looks like." Camilo said.

"Wow, he looks like you but older and wrinkly." Y/n said.

"Hey!" Camilo said.

"I'm just kidding." Y/n said.

They both laughed.

"You're a very funny person." Camilo said.

"And so are you. To me you're also very tricky since you can shape-shift into anyone." Y/n said.

"I think my papá thinks I'm tricky since I always mock him." Camilo said.

"You are very lucky to do that with your dad." Y/n said as her smile faded.

"What's wrong?" Camilo asked.

"It's nothing." Y/n lied.

"It doesn't look like nothing. Just tell me what's wrong." Camilo said.

"I don't want other people to hear what I'm saying." Y/n said.

"We're alone, no one can hear us." Camilo said.

(Well I guess Dolores's powers are meaningless now😃)

Y/n sighs.

"I actually lost my dad a few years ago." Y/n said.

"I'm...so sorry, Y/n." Camilo said.

"It's alright, you didn't know. I've never really told anyone about my dad ever since he was gone." Y/n said.

"How old were you?" Camilo asked.

"Twelve." Y/n said.

Camilo then saw Y/n looked down as her face turned pale.

"Hey, it's alright. From now on, you can to talk to me about anything, okay?" Camilo said.

"Yeah, alright." Y/n said.

Y/n then hugged Camilo as he smiled.

Y/n Camilo talked to each other for hours while the crowds were still in Antonio's room until midnight fell.

"I think I should probably go back home now. I don't want my sister to get worried." Y/n said.

"Sure, so uhh. I'll see you tomorrow?" Camilo asked.

"Yeah, bye." Y/n said.

"B-bye." Camilo stuttered.

Y/n then walked out of the Madrigals house.

As Camilo watched her, he heard Dolores's squeak.

Camilo's smile faded.

"Dolores, I know that's you." Camilo said.

Dolores then goes towards Camilo.

"I heard everything." Dolores said.

"Dolores, what exactly did ou hear?" Camilo asked nervously.

"Well, I heard about her life before moving here, that's all." Dolores said.

Camilo sighed in relief.

(Poor Camilo who literally thought Dolores couldn't hear the whole conversation🥲)

"Thank goodness. Please do not listen to our conversation next time, I'm begging you." Camilo said.

"Well it's not my fault that listening from far distances are my powers. Too bad you have to live with it." Dolores said as she turns around and walked away.

Once Dolores was gone, Camilo went into Antonio's room to wish him good-night. Then he went back to his room and went to bed.
