Before I knew it I was tackled to the ground and a rag shoved over my mouth. Everything went dark.

"When do you think they'll wake up?"
"I don't know, we got them pretty good."
"I bet you If we bu-"
Ringing ran through my ears and my nose burned.
"Ey heh look who's awake!" A tall Mexican man said.
There are multiple things going through my head right now, one of them being that I must be having another crazy dream. The other, if this is real, where the hell am I, and why am I here?
"Why-" I started to say.
"Save your breath. You're here because your friend here, Alisha has been being dishonest about her work with me. And she was confident enough to tell you this, so I'm wondering what other things she has told you."
Alisha's muffled screams were heard from behind me. What kind of fucked up Scarface shit is this? When I first became friends with Alisha she gave me crack "on the house." Which in reality is just money being thrown away without profit towards the original distributor, and a couple other times where she did the same for other people, but that's all I know.
Regardless of how close I am with Alisha, why would I rat out on her? "I don't know anything."
Laughter erupted and the man directly towered himself over me. Being strapped to a chair made that alot easier, despite me already being significantly shorter than this guy. "You two, go wait outside." He said to his two men.
That's definitely not a good thing.
"Y/N why are you making this difficult? You told it to me all before in confidence. Now I just need you to tell me again, with more detail."
Alisha cried and tried to get loose. No one deserves this.
"I don't know what I told you, or when I did. I don't even know who you are." Fear started to take over my voice. Almost as if whatever they drugged us with started to wear off and I came to terms with the reality of the situation.
He sighed and looked right into my eyes. "That hurt a little. But whatever. See you later."
And with that he just... Walked away, out of the room, leaving only me and Alisha.
The paint was peeling off the walls, it smelled like mold and there was a single light on, above us. This has to be some kind of abandoned barn.
Above the fear of being here tied up, and the bitter coldness of New Mexico at night, I was hungry. I truly don't know the last time I've eaten something.
Thoughts of paranoia struck in once an hour went by and I realized most likely they were leaving us here to die. Of starvation, or what If someone finds us and takes advantage of two tied up girls? I haven't heard Alisha say anything since she was crying. What if she's dead? Am I sitting by a dead body?
I started crying myself, uncontrollably. My birthday wish came back to mind, it was supposed to be a good year. I would scream but my throat burned and I figured they wouldn't put us in a barn right next to the freeway.
We're in the middle of no where.
~~~~~ 3 more hours go by ~~~~~~
"Oh I didn't know I was gone long enough for you to get tierd. My bad."
