With a small thud, she heard the fox collapsing on the ground behind her. Shocked from what had just happened, its home had just been destroyed. "I-Im sorry!" It managed to say. Vinespirit snorted, the fox was only sorry because it almost died. Although, Vinespirit really pitied the fox. She pitied the fox because it lost its home, and it probably needed a meal. Why else would it have gone after Blu? She knew no animals in the forest hunted for sport, only the humans did that. She sighed, "Fine, I accept your apology. But can you promise me something?" The fox looked up hopefully, "Yes! Anything!" Clearly the fox knew her power now, and wouldn't try to mess with her any longer. "Don't eat Blu." She looked down caringly at the small pup, the reason Vinespirit cared for him so much is because he reminded her of her younger brother. Always so full of joy. But Vinespirit wasn't going to dwell on that any longer. "You got me?" Her gaze hardened as she stared at the fox once more. "Yes Ma'am!" Vinespirit smiled, then realized a huge problem in her way. "That was your home, correct?" She asked, just assuming the small dirt cave was where the fox stayed. "Yes.." the fox lowered its gaze, seeming to be sad about its loss of its home. "What is your name?" Vinespirit asked, "Bandit." he answered. "Well, Bandit. Would you like to travel with me and Blu here? We are traveling to the Kingdom of Panth." Blu looked up, giving her a confused gaze. Vinespirit closed her jaws, realizing she hadn't told Blu her goal yet. Vinespirit quickly gave him a look that pleaded with him to not ask questions. Blu nodded, and Vinespirit was happy he seemed that he wouldn't ask. Atleast not yet. She thought, Blu was not someone that would be able to keep his jaws shut for long. She snapped out of her thoughts as Bandit started speaking to her again. "I guess I have no choice but to join you." Bandit squeaked. Her eyes clouded, she hadn't looked at Bandit long enough to guess his age yet. But now that she did, Bandit looked as if he had only left his mother not long ago. She guessed that was why he was trying to hunt Blu. She turned forward, following the path again. "Come on, we all still have a long way to go." She murmured. "But im hungry!" Blu wailed, circling around her paws. Vinespirit continued walking, but now that she thought about it. She was hungry too, the last time she had found food was before she figured out Blu had gone missing. The scavenged meat she had found must be rancid on the moor now, she was disgusted by thinking about it. Maybe now she should try to find some place to hunt for real food. As if answering her thoughts, she spotted a small forest near the path the group had been trekking on. She stopped, her paws tired but she knew neither of her friends were in the state to hunt. Blu was too young and Bandit seemed exhausted from the den collapse incident. She turned, heading to the forest.
