Vinespirit

Chapter 4

Vinespirit hissed. She aimed her vines, but missed the fox. The fox hopped over, only scratched by the thorns lining her vines. The fox jumped at her, a prideful glow showing in its amber eyes. Reacting fast, she sidestepped. The fox fell to the ground clumsily, but it got to its paws. Vinespirit ran over to the fox, slamming her paws into its flank. The fox let out a growl, then threw her off. The fox jumped at her, pinning her down. She writhed around, trying to atleast scratch the fox with her vines. But it was no use, the fox was holding them down. She turned her head, seeing Blu pressed up against the dirt wall. She knew she had to save the small pup and defeat this fox. Or else she and Blu would be gone forever, Blu would be killed by the fox. And Vinespirit was predicting Zee would vanish her out of existence for not completing his quest. She surged up, throwing the fox off her. She got to her paws, then ran over to Blu. Vinespirit picked up Blu by his scruff. Blu writhed in her jaws, clearly uncomfortable. She kept a harder grip on the small pup. The fox seemed to be getting up, they had to leave now. Vinespirit looked around for a quick escape. Conveniently, the dirt cave seemed to be glittered with pointy rocks, she saw a very huge one, and climbed to where it was, digging it out slowly. The fox noticed what she was doing, and tried to climb to them. It dug its claws into the wall. Although, the fox could not climb. Trying to get up, soil fell in a uneven pile beneath it. The rock was almost out, just a bit more digging.. The rock surged into the ground, making a loud thud. The fox squeaked, running to the edge of the cave. It started shaking. Eyes wide, the fox looked up to her. The roof started crumbling, and she nimbly unlatched from the soily wall. She ran out as she got onto the ground, the fox followed her still. Just enough to get out of the crumbling cave.
