Day 2 In Holmes Chapel
y/n's pov
"I miss this." I whispered to Anne and Gem. The three of us were on our midday stroll talking about life. The scenery around us was beautiful, the tall green grass, the family of ducks floating in the small pond, and the birds humming from the tree branches.
The air was crisp as the light breeze pushed past us, the weather today ended up being nice with the sun out, surprising considering it's been raining the past couple of days here.
"We miss you," Gem replied, linking my arm with hers and squeezing my arm tight. Gem laid her head on my shoulder as we continued to walk towards the picnic tables and since Gem and I didn't have much of a height difference it wasn't hard to walk together.
"Ladies, are you forgetting about your mother?" Anne chuckled from behind us. Gem and I stopped walking so I could reach out my open arm for Anne to take. The three of us linked our arms together like the 3 Musketeers.
"We could never forget about you." I laughed.
We finally found a table that wasn't occupied and I sat on one side while Anne and Gem sat on the other. (Insta Story). I looked to my left and saw a couple who looked like they were on a first date. The girl was laughing at something the guy had said and it reminded me a lot of when Harry and I were new to the dating world. I smiled as the guy reached his hand over the table to grab hers while he listened closely to every word she said, just like Harry would do.
"Mummy! Mummy! Look at the ducks!!" A little boy was near the pond watching as the ducks swam around.
"Darling, don't get too close to the water or else you'll fall in." The mother yelled as she pushed the stroller.
"Cute, innit?" Anne smiled, making me jump out of my thoughts.
"Very."
"You know when Harry and Gem were little kids, Gem would always jump into the pond and Harry would come crying to me telling me that he wants Gem to get back to land because he was scared she would drown."
"Bloody hell, I was a great swimmer, H was always worried."
"That's when I realized, even though he was so young that he would be a great father. He was always taking care of his sister even if they were years apart and he was younger. He really loves you, you know? I know he cheated and made mistakes, but he's learned from them." Anne said.
My heart dropped, she didn't know what happened and I wasn't going to be the one to tell her.
"Anne, he didn't cheat on me..." Anne and Gem's eyes went wide as the words slipped out of my mouth. "I'm not the person you should be hearing any of this from. Harry should be the one to explain, not me."
"I-Uh. Woah...That's what he told us happened." Gemma said with a confused look on her face. I felt bad, they were lost and I wanted to tell them, but this is Harry's story to tell.
"I'm sorry. I wish I could, but it's not right. I know you guys are confused and shocked, but Harry didn't do anything wrong. Things just happened and it's best if you guys hear it from him in person."
"We'd love to see him, but our schedules haven't been lining up and it's hard. We miss him so much."
"The LA shows are a month away, we can find something that fits both of your schedules. He misses you guys dearly and surprising him will make him the happiest person on the entire planet."
"Yeah, I guess you're right. We can talk about this when we go home. Why don't we pick up some food and go home?" Anne suggests.
We nod our heads and continue on the path that leads to the restaurants and pubs. The three of us stayed close to each other as we journeyed along.
