Chapter 2- Icebreakers

Mitsuri's POV

Huh. Icebreakers. I hope I learn more about Shinobu-chan!

"ALRIGHT, CLASS! IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT AN ICEBREAKER IS, IT'S JUST A FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF LET'S START WITH...KOCHO-KUN!"

Yay! Shinobu-chan's going!

"Oh! Uh- something about me is that my sister is the biology teacher at this school."

I began to think, Oh! How cool is that! I wonder-, but my thoughts were cut off by a person shouting,

"THE TEACH SAID SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF, STUPID"

The whole class burst out laughing and Shinobu-chan just looked down and sat in her seat. Her eyes were full of embarrassment and I could see tears forming in her eyes.

Poor Shinobu-chan. She did nothing to that boy, yet he still was mean to her!

"NOW, THAT'S NO WAY TO TALK TO A CLASSMATE ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL," Mr. Rengoku boomed, "SEE ME AFTER CLASS SO WE CAN HAVE A TALK ABOUT YOUR BEHAVIOR!"

The boy let out a soft grumble, but it's what he deserves. He was mean to Shinobu-chan, after all!

Time skip to after class

Shinobu's POV

Mitsuri-san and I were walking to our next class together. I had math and Mitsuri-san had biology, but the classrooms were right next to each other.

"Well, I'll see you later Shinobu-chan!"

Mitsuri's exited voice felt very comforting.

"Alright. See you later, Mitsuri-san."

In math class, Mr. Shinazugawa had the first 3 buttons on his shirt unbuttoned. He had a scar across his face and his hair looked fluffy. Math class went by pretty quickly. All we did was a review of what we learned last year. Luckily for me, no one picked on me this period. Everyone was pretty chill. Aside from Mr. Shinazugawa and Genya. Since they're brothers, I'm assuming that Mr. Shinazugawa was extra-hard on him. I had one more class until lunch, and that class was art, with Mr. Uzui. Mitsuri had the same.

I was on my way to art until I heard a cheery voice call out, "Hey, Shinobu-chan!"

"Hello, Mitsuri-san," I replied. "How are you?"

"Oh, I'm alright! It's only been 1 period since we last saw each other! Nothing much could've happened to me, silly!"

Yeah. Nothing much... I thought as I wish I had the same luxury as her, being able to go through one class without worrying about anything happening to you.

"Art is going to be so much fun! I'm thinking about majoring in it for college. How 'bout you, Shinobu-chan? What are you thinking about majoring in?" Mitsuri-san asked.

"I was thinking about majoring in pharmaceutical research."

"Pharma-what-now?" Mitsuri replied with her voice full of confusion. I let out a chuckle.

"Pharmaceutical research is just discovering and studying medical drugs," I said, answering what I thought was a question.

"Ohhh. Yeah. I knew that. Haha!" Mitsuri said in response. 

Once we got to art, we drew posters, showing a little bit about ourselves. I drew butterflies and a kimono that resembled that of a butterfly's wings. It had a fading white to light cyan to pink design on the sleeves and thin vein-like stripes all along the kimono.
