10. A Night Over

Shinobu POV

Once I got home that day, I flopped onto my couch and went on my phone. Kanao was having a sleepover with Nezuko that day and Kanae had a faculty meeting that day so, she wouldn't be home until 5. That meant I had the entire house to myself for now. 

I couldn't shake why Mitsuri was going to the bathroom so quickly and angrily. Strange I thought as I turned on my phone. I was scrolling on Instagram for a bit until I got a notification from Mitsuri.

🍡 Mitsuri 3:37- Hey

🦋Shinobu 3:38- hi

🍡 Mitsuri 3:38- did u see the vid?

🦋Shinobu 3:38- yea

🍡 Mitsuri 3:39- I'm sorry

🦋Shinobu 3:39- why? its not ur fault

🍡 Mitsuri 3:40- ik but it feels like it is. If I weren't so impulsive, no one would've taken a vid.

🦋Shinobu 3:40- but it wasn't ur fault that they took the vid.

🍡 Mitsuri 3:40- ...Yea, ig ur right

I turned off my phone not long after she said that. The last thing I wanted to think of was that video. I decided to take a hot shower to help myself calm down. That always helped. I walked upstairs to go to the bathroom. As soon as I got there I closed the door, turned on the shower to max heat, and got undressed. I stepped into the shower as the hot water hit my back. The water was already relaxing my tense muscles.

Soon after, I got out of the shower and got dressed. I went back on my phone because I had nothing better to do. I was bored as hell so I decided to text Mitsuri again.

🦋Shinobu 4:14- hi

🍡 Mitsuri 4:14- hey

🦋Shinobu4:14- wanna facetime

🍡 Mitsuri 4:15- sure

🦋Shinobu4:16- Ok, ill start it

Incoming call... ✅❌✅

"Hiya, Shinobu-chan!" Mitsuri's cheery voice beamed through the phone.

"Hey! What's up?" I replied with a smile.

"Nothing much. My parents went out on a business trip today, but it's not like I see them a lot anyways," She said with a tint of sadness in her voice.

"Do you wanna come over?" I asked without even giving it a second thought

Her whole face seemed to brighten up

"Really? I would love to! Thank you!!" Mitsuri replied with much enthusiasm in her voice.

"Ok. See you in a bit, bye," I said to her as I hung up a moment later.

About 15 minutes later, I heard a knock at the door. I opened it and I was greeted with a very cheery Mitsuri.

"Thanks for inviting me over, Shinobu-chan!" Mitsuri said joyfully as she took off her shoes and entered.

"No problem. It was my pleasure," I replied. I just noticed the mud stains all over her hair and her clothes.

"What happened? You're all dirty, Mitsuri-san" I asked her. From what I could see, she was wearing a light green crop top with pink sweatpants. But most of the color was covered in mud.

"Oh, that? Some random guy drove over a puddle and it splashed all over me," Mitsuri said with a slightly angry tone.

"You can wash up in the bathroom. I'll lend you a spare set of clothes," I replied to her as I was leading her to the bathroom upstairs.

"Thanks!" Mitsuri said as she entered the bathroom.

I walked over to my room to look for clothes that she would fit in. She was about 7 inches taller than me, so I got her a bigger size than what I usually wear. What I picked out for he were just simple flannal pajama pants and an oversized sweater. I put the clothes outside of the bathroom and then I went downstairs. I turned on the tv and I started watching anime that was about people getting horny over fucking gambling.

"Hi, Shinobu-chan! What're you watching?" Mitsuri asked as she walked down the stairs.

"Oh, this anime I found on Netflix. It's pretty interesting," I replied.

"Ooo. What is it about?" She asked again.

"Oh, just a bunch of teenagers that get horny over gambling," I said in response.

"Well that certainly is interesting!" Mitsuri replied with a giggle. As she sat down next to me, I laid my head on he shoulder.

After we finished watching the first episode, Kanae got home.

"Oh, hello Kanroji-san," Kanae greeted Mitsuri, "I didn't expect you to be here today."

"Hi, Ms. Kocho," Mitsuri replied.

"Why don't you stay for dinner? We're having udon," Kanae said with a friendly smile 

"Oh! Uh, thanks for the offer, but I wouldn't want to overstay my welcome, Ms. Kocho," Mitsuri said in a very polite tone.

"Oh, nonsense. We'd be glad to have you for dinner any day! And when we're out of the classroom, you can call me by my first name,"

"Thank you, Kanae-san," Mitsuri said rather awkwardly.

"What was that about," I asked her in a hushed voice.

"I wanna make a good impression on your sister! Plus, I don't have the best grades in biology," Mitsuri replied. I let out a chuckle at her response.

It was getting closer to dinner time, so Mitsuri and I decided to finish watching this episode and then we would go to the table and eat.

"Dinner's ready!" Kanae called out from the kitchen.

"Thank you very much, Kanae-san! It looks so good," Mitsuri said with her usually bubbly tone.

"Thank you for the meal," We all said and then we started eating. Kanae and Mitsuri were getting to know each other a bit with ocational small talk, but it was silent for the most part.

After dinner, Mitsuri and I went to my room and we talked a bit on my bed. Before I knew it, Mitsuri was dozing off on my shoulder. Cute... I thought as I turned off the lights and crawled into bed next to Mitsuri, making sure that there was some room between us. Soon enough, I dozed off too.

IM DONE WITH ANOTHER CHAPTER! WHOO! idk if i should make this a fluff book or an angst book...But imma make this (or attempt to make this) a 30+ chapter book! Yay me for doing smth that i probably cant do! Anyway, tysm for 800+ reads. Ive been really upset bc i didn't make the silver time for swimming, so I'm writing again to vent.
